Avoid this practice or you'll be sorry! Our positive feelings about the physicians have been ruined by the fact that the business side of this practice is deplorable. Either the practice is corrupt and trying to take advantage of the patients or the billing department is absolutely incompetent. We have had two incidents where insurance claims were submitted with the wrong billing codes. We have since moved out of state, so for the past 1.5 years, I have called on numerous occasions, emailed, and sent certified letters. Never have I received the courtesy of a single response, yet they sent us to collection. I finally paid one of the invoices for several hundred dollars because I simply give up - I can no longer rationalize investing time in leaving voice mails and sending letters that go unanswered. Sadly, I see someone else wrote a similar review, so including myself, two out of six reviewers are angry about billing practices. J. Dr. Shari Phillips is the primary care physician for my whole family, and I have always been happy with my experience at this office. I find all the staff to be friendly and helpful. Dr. Phillips always takes the time to listen to me and my concerns, and I never feel that she is rushed. I have small children, so I have contacted the office on multiple occasions with questions. On only one occasion did I find the nurse I spoke with to be less than pleasant. Every other time I've called, the nurses have been very helpful and get me an appointment if I need one. Dr. Phillips called me personally once when my daughter was sick. I would definitely recommend this practice. Wow, according to your own terms of use, you've allowed someone to make personal remarks in the reviews about Dr. Shari Johns and Lakeside Family Physicians, not only are they referencing people by name (Cristy and Janette) that they did not ""meet"" they are referencing ""overcharging"" and reference to uncalled for practices. These are your very own ""terms of use"" listed on the bottom of each of your pages. Do you or do you not also claim to ""own"" these reviews? You are allowing someone whom is obviously disregarding the terms of use you have designed and this leads me to believe that you enjoy and promote the untruthful remarks from less than stellar reviewers in order to fill your site. I totally agree with bev1231. I have had the opportunity of meeting all of the doctors at Lakeside and I can't say enough good things about them. They are the most caring doctors I have come across in a long time. Yes, they sometimes run a little behind but that is because they take the time to listen to their patients. I have NEVER felt rushed in any way and the rest of my family feel the same way. The wait in the waiting room is worth their weight in gold! As far as unnecessary labs done, I highly doubt that any of the docs would do that. The post earlier from Gina about the unnecessary infertility labs that were done, the question is.... are you infertile???? All your problems should be discussed at your annual exam which is why it takes so long. I think it is up to the patient to find out what is or is not covered by their insurance. If, lets say, infertility labs are not covered, don't discuss it or don't allow the tests to be run. PERIOD! Sounds like sour grapes to me. You didn't get your way & now your bad mouthing great doctors. I have never had a bad experience with any of the doctors, nurses, or any of the staff. They are wonderful & caring and will bend over backwards to see our needs met. Sounds like I would trust them with my life? YOUR DAMN RIGHT I WOULD!!! Pros: Close to home. I've been a patient at Lakeside Family Physicians for nearly 10 years along with 3 other family members. Our doctors are Dr. Jenike and Dr. Barringer. I highly recommend both doctors. They are professional, thorough and unlike the experiences in previous posts, they have yet to order unwanted or unneeded lab work or tests. I haven't dealt with the office staff other than to check in and check out. Due to medications I'm taking, I periodically schedule for lab work and have not had any problems with the lab personnel, nor have I encountered any insurance issues. I'm very pleased with my experiences to date with Lakeside Family practice. Pros: Close to home Cons: Are busy at times making for longer waiting room times, but doctors do not rush patients. more

I went to see Dr. Sherrill for annual physical exam covered under my insurance. They billed for something totally different, and now I am in debt with the lab company. The doctors office drew the lab work and sent it to the lab company so the lab company is charging me and sending my file to collectors because Dr. Sherrill would not correct the mistake made by lake side family physicians.\r Pros: none what so ever Cons: everything possible is wrong with this dr.s office more
