Too bad my homeowners' association doesn't read your reviews. NW Recovery isn't even listed in the BBB's Accredited Businesses listing--did I miss it? The car was parked in it's authorized parking space and it displayed the association's parking permit. This didn't stop NW from towing it at 2:15 a.m., Monday, because my son's license sticker broke off. Did you know that if your license plate sticker breaks apart, is stolen or lost, NW will tow it? According to a clerk at the State's Licensing Dept in Schaumburg, stickers are often stolen or break apart because of Chicago's extreme winters. CHECK YOUR LICENSE PLATES DAILY! To add more insult, my son's car broke down shortly after he reclaimed his car: A battery recharge by AAA, another $130 towing off of a two-lane hwy--w/o a cell phone (w/his 4 yr old son in the back seat) and an additional $163 charge to reconnect his battery. His car works great again. If I understand correctly, according to Illinois Commercial Relocation of Trespassing Vehicles Law, "It is illegal for any towing co. to tow vehicles from private property if the owner...is at the scene...." Hello! He was sleeping not 40 ft. away at 2:00 in the morning....I'm proud to add my "not recommended" review.
Cons: Rude, uncooperative, vehicle damage
