Great Tasting Menus 6/14/2006

I've heard so much about this restaurant, and I just met the chef in St, Helena. Napa California. So I had to go for myself and was not disapointed.\r \r Try the tasting menu, paired with wines. Excellent. Also this restaurant is good for the finicky diner ( like myself Vegetarian )and the patio dining is also great. Looking foward to dining again with my other vegetarian friends. Pros: service staff very great Cons: dining room noisy more

Well worth the money 5/19/2006

This is not a cheap place but considering the $$ I have wasted at ""fine dining establishments"", Noe is worth every cent. The food was fantastic, the service was friendly and efficient, and the environment was polished and comfortable. I recommend outdoor seating or the lounge area. The only negative comment is better signage. The restaurant was not easy to find, even after entering the Omni. Pros: Food, Food, Food more

Perfect Start to a Memorable Evening 4/13/2006

After waiting over 2 years to dine here, I finally found an excuse to do so before a performance at the Music Center. Although extremely tempted by the chef's tasting menus, I opted for the foie gras first course followed by the salmon entree. The foie gras was presented in three different preparations: with fresh strawberries, grilled, and with homemade whipped cream. All were decadent and well worth the $21 price tag. The salmon was juicy, flakey and flavorful, although the vegtables accompanying the salmon were season with too much curry. Staff was pleasant, attentive, knowledgable about the menu and wines and accomadating. When I arrived at the restaurant, it appeared to be full, and despite my tardiness, was immediately taken to a table (it pays to call ahead if you're going to be late. Lesson learned!). I'll definitely will be back, and this time, I won't wait 2 years. Pros: staff, menu, parking Cons: no shuttle to theater more

Innovative, Informed and In-downtown!! 7/20/2004

Tasting menu items were very inventive and delicious... asked for a 3-wine pairing and the chef did an awesome job pairing riesling for two of the first courses and merlot for the meat courses and port for the DELICIOUS chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet... the waiter was VERY well informed, polite but fun, and provided all that we could've asked for. The decor was great except I'm still not used to the hotel lobby merging into the lounge of the restaurant deal, although it was nicely done. I'd go back and taste some others on the menu. Pros: Staff, Ambience, Inventive Food more

The food is great. For a romantic dining experience, I'd recommend that you request a table outside. The unfortunate down side to this restaurant are the prices, which are compounded by the small portion sizes. A full dinner for two (including appetizers, dessert and a few cocktails each) was about $250!!! Pros: Butternut squash soup, Home-made ice tea more
