Best

LOVE this place! Awesome food, great drinks, decent prices, and friendly service. I LOVE going here especially for the dessert which is delicious.

Worst

After living around VH for a few years, I finally went to Noche - but was rather disappointed. The $3 Monday margaritas turned out to cost $5 (they tried to make some money on 5-o...

Best tapas in town! 2/4/2008

Love this place - great place to grab a drink on a Friday night - can get crowded tho - so beware if you go after 9! Also the menu has changed a bit - one of my fav. dishes was removed - was disappointed, however everything on the menu is delicious! Pros: Great food and service Cons: Can get crowded more

Extremely Rude Hostess, Bad Service 2/2/2008

My boyfriend and I ate here with my boyfriend's boss and his wife on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. We arrived around 7:30 and requested a table outside. There were no tables available outside and the hostess said it would be about 30 minutes so we decided to wait at the bar. I should mention that there was NO ONE seated inside at the time, so it would have been easy to sit inside at that time. Forty-five minutes later, the same hostess came and sat us INSIDE. Discreetly, I walked back up to the hostess stand to ask her why she had not seated us outside as we had requested. She said she didn't know we wanted to be seated outside and we would have to now wait longer if we wanted to sit outside. She was EXTREMELY rude about the whole situation, and very clearly has no business being in the food service industry. If I were the manager, I would let her go before he/she loses more customers. I am not one to complain about restaurant experiences, but we eat out at Atlanta restaurants all of the time, and this experience definitely stands out as one of the worst experiences I have had. The service at the table was bad too. They brought us the wrong food, and it was very, very slow. I have been a Noche fan for a few years now, but I will not go back after this experience. more

Great neighborhood place for tapas and margaritas 1/2/2008

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch while spending the day in the Highlands. I typically love Tom Catherall's restaurants, and this one is no exception. We came during the day, when it wasn't quite as packed, but you could feel the festive ambiance. The margaritas and mojitos are delicious here, and they have a fair variety. We played it safe, since it was lunch, and ordered the queso fundido with chips, the chicken empanada, the crispy fish taco, and their version of shrimp and grits (which isn't on the menu anymore). Everything was good, but not AMAZING. Overall, this is a great tapas place to sample if you are in the area. But I'd recommend Pura Vida for those who really know and LOVE tapas. Pros: Good margaritas, fun atmosphere, good location Cons: Parking more

Rude hostess 11/7/2007

My friends and I are all new to Atlanta and love to try new resturants around town. We've been to Noche's about four times now. We usually go on Monday nights when they have the all you can eat. The menu is different every week so it's a great way to try something new. The downside to this is putting up with the ""seater."" She is extremely rude! When we arrived, there were literally two other people in the entire place and she asked if we had reservations. She made it appear that it was a real pain for her to have to seat us. We asked for a table for 4 and she said she couldn't seat us until the entire party arrived. We explained that the other 2 would arrive in less than a half hour and we would just like to start eating and enjoying the margaritas. We'd never had this problem before but we also had never seen her there before either. Even though the place had all these empty tables she refused! And really seemed to enjoy it. And to top it off, she had no problem seating an older white party that was incomplete. Needless to say, we won't be going back regardless of what type menu the chef can put out! It's just not worth the trouble and disrespect. Pros: Margaritas! Cons: The Staff more

Great Place For Dinner & Drinks...For Rizzzeal!!! 9/25/2007

I have to rave about the great meal I had at this bright and ecclectic VH eatery. We were seated immediately in the table of our choosing and although drink service was a tad slow, once our orders were in, a cornucopia of bite-sized delights ranging from spicy seafood morsels to BBQ(delicious pulled pork) to grilled meats with exotic dipping sauces were ferried to the table just as the last course was disappearing into our eager mouths. Of particular note was the miniature lobster burrito that complimented the specialty Margerita that I had ordered. Noche is a great place to grab a bite, enjoy some ambiance and build a solid foundation on which to float an ocean of liquor at surrounding VH bars and taverns. Free Parking in the rear! Pros: Cheap Eats, Attractive Folks, Good Drinks Cons: Service is slow more

Tapas 9/11/2007

Noche left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one... I know in the restaurant biz arriving twenty minutes late for your reservation is equivalent to committing one of the seven deadly sins, but stuff happens. Unfortunately, immediately upon arrival the hostess took it upon herself to berate me and my guests about our tardiness. And I quote, ""First of all, if you are going to be late for a reservation, you need to call. Secondly, when you make your reservation you need to give us a phone number so we can call you if there is a problem. We just took your table apart and now we have to put it back together, blah, blah, blah."" After consuming sub par drinks and tapas we were basically told you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here (another party was slated to use our table). Next time I am in the mood for drinks and tapas I will go to Eclipse de Luna where the food has flavor and the staff isn't rude. more

Cheap tapas but too crowded 8/6/2007

Bar at Noche is good for inexpensive margaritas but way too crowded to enjoy. Seems VH area is overrun with cheap eats for cheap crowds. I will still go again but not during rush times. There are other restaurants in the area to enjoy small plates and discounted drinks without the mad dash Noche seems to draw. Great decor, colorful and energetic. more

Great Tapas and Great Value 2/25/2007

Delicious selection of tapas and a great wine/drink menu. The bar area at the front is crowded - making it difficult to get to the host stand. But once you are seated at your table - there is plenty of room - and it is a lot quieter. The staff was great - offering suggestions at my request and keeping the table full of great food. I recomend the pulled pork - it was very tender and tasty! Pros: Margaritas, Inexpensive Cons: Crowded bar - but not crowded tables more

go on Monday night! (but make a reservation) 2/21/2007

Well, actually, even with a reservation, you still might have to wait: this has happened to me a couple of times. Monday night is a great deal because it's $10 per person for all-you-can-eat tapas. The list is pre-set, but has enough variety to keep everyone interested (and you can get as many refills of whatever dishes you especially liked). If you do go on a Monday, though, definitely try to show up early, early, or late, late, because it is crowded. The bartender was friendly, too. All in all, I agree with the previous poster: definitely try it out. You won't break the bank doing so! Pros: fun atmosphere, great, great food, great deal on Monday nights Cons: long waits at times, crowded more

eh 2/2/2007

""Your review must be at least 100 characters. Yours is only 9."" -> I had put 'see above' at first, because 'eh' is the only thing I really wanted to say. But I guess I'll break it down: good service, but food that I could easily make at home, and probably better (but I'm an excellent cook ;0). I went for their 'all-you-can-eat' tapas on a Tuesday night, but after trying everything, I only wanted the soup and bread with seared chicken on it at the end. I still recommend going though, because they had some other stuff on the menu that seemed worthwhile (lobster taco, etc), and my intuition is that they probably pull off some regular dishes nicely. And if all else fails, their white peach sorbet would be worth the trip. Hey, guess I could pull something out pretty easily. Try it out, you won't be breaking bank. Pros: cheap, service more

Great location and food selections 1/16/2007

Recently went to Noche and loved the food and service! The small plates are great if you are looking for a light dinner and the service is impeccable. Definitely worth going back to! Enjoy! Pros: Margarita's, Small plates, Ambience Cons: Parking can be tough, but to be expected in V. Highland! more

Great Tapas, Awesome Prices, Decent Service, Fun Environment 1/10/2007

The bright colored walls make this restaurant a genuine tapas bar. The chips are awesome and are only $3 for chips, great cheese dip and awesome salsas. The margaritas are a steal at $3 a piece. You will love this place if you enjoy spanish food and a fairly noisy environment doesn't bother you. Pros: Awesome Value, Amazing Food, Superb Margiritas Cons: Decent Service, Fairly Noisy more

Great and inexpensive! 12/30/2006

The restaurant is very narrow, but decorated very well. If it is a nice night I would sit on the patio there seems to be a lot more space between then tables. I went with my girlfriend on a Friday night and we were seated promptly. The crowd picked up after 7 o'clock, so don't hesitate with making reservations. The food was great for the price you were paying. The special tapas can reach the 8$ mark, but all the other tapas are $5 and less! The food was very tasty and something I would love to go back and eat. The food is not remarkable, but people must realize for $3-$5 a tapa this place is excellent! I would definitely go back and the wine and beers were decently priced as well. The desserts (Chocolate tres leches I believe it's called) was awesome. I would recommend this place for anyone. It can get a little loud because the restaurant is not too big, which again is why I say ""sit on the patio."" Our service was really nice as well. The drinks and food came out promptly, almost too fast, but my girlfriend and I like to dine so for others it might seem perfect. more

amazing cheap food: make reservations 10/30/2006

my favorite restaurant in town...i'm a college student so i've got a tight budget and 10$ tapas on monday night is amAZING! try the tuna on the regular menu and chips and queso. also barbeque salmon!! more

Great atmosphere, drinks, and food! 10/17/2006

My husband and I went on a double-date at Noche and we had a fabulous time. We all ordered all the tapas we thought looked good, and then shared it among the 4 of us. I'd really recommend the fried calamari, fried chicken, and the margaritas. Pros: Margaritas, food Cons: Long waits on weekend nights more

Good Drinks, Fair Food 9/18/2006

I've been to Noche a bunch of times, but I am consistently disappointed with the tapas. The food bland and unimpressionable and I would not recommend it as a noteworthy southwestern restaurant. The desserts are absolutely horrible-- don't even bother. I do like the atmosphere-- especially when seated outside on the patio-- and I do like the drinks (we had Sangria, mojitos and cosmopolitans). The waitstaff is decent, but not remarkably excellent. Grab a drink or two here on a Tuesday night, but don't waste your money on the food. more

Great Margarita 9/5/2006

I met with a friend for drinks last week on 8/29/06. As far as I remember the food was excellent. The small plates were cool since it allowed us to sample many different dishes. The margaritas were very strong and therefore the rest of the night was a blurr... The service was fast and the dining room was comfortable. I would dine here again. Pros: margarita Cons: can't think of any more

Excellent restaurant to meet friends 2/26/2006

I had lunch @ Noche w/ some friends on Sunday, when they have $1 Dos Equis, and the food was great. At the recommendation of a friend I ordered one of the specials since he said they are usually very good. I chose the pan fried grouper w/ mango salsa and it was excellent. The value was great considering the $1 beer and the service was attentive & friendly. Pros: Selection of tapas, $1 Dos Equis Sunday's, Nice patio more

Great Drinks 8/21/2005

Noche is a very fun place to go with a group of friends and enjoy a great selection of drinks. The selection of small plates is excellent and very well prepared. Table service is a bit hit or miss, but then again, it is not fine dining. Definitely recommended for good food, drinks and fun with friends. Pros: drinks, food, value Cons: small space, parking, service more
