Nick's Shoe Repair

TOTALLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. This shoe store is under-staffed, over-worked, and cannot deliver a quality product! Here is my story: I took my shoes to get my soles replaced on a Saturday. I was told it would be done by Wednesday for $58. Wednesday, when I arrived, was told hey did not even get to my shoes and to come the next day. Thursday I went to pick them up, and was told they need to order soles. They would deliver to my house. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday came.....no shoes. I called Tuesday, and was told they were ready. When I arrived Nick said my soles were discontinued and there was nothing he could do. He returned my shoes damaged!! He said he could replace my soles with another type that was not even made for my shoes.....for $64!! more

i first went to nick's shoe repair to have a pair of knee-high boots taken in to fit my calf. i read a few positive reviews of his work and felt confident he could do the job after meeting with him. nick promised my boots would be ready in 5 days. when i returned to pick them up he told me he hadn't even started working on them yet. i reminded him i was leaving on a trip and needed them by the end of the week. he told me to come back in 2 days to pick them up and when i did, they still weren't ready. long story short, this happened 2 more times and not once did he call to let me know my boots would not be ready when promised. two weeks later (3 1/2 weeks total) i finally picked them up and the workmanship was flawless. nick told me an employee had recently quit and being understaffed was the reason for the multiple delays. i accepted his explanation and continued to bring in shoes for minor repairs that were completed on time all but once.
