Best Price 7/25/2011

The hotel that I ended up picking was the Buffalo Niagara Marriott - which also happened to be the most expensive of all 54 hotels in the Buffalo area. At $189/night, I felt the price was fair, and I was happy that it was located close to the airport and even closer to the conference location. With Priceline's "best price guaranteed" guarantee, I was sure that I was getting the best price - and I even double checked Marriott's very own website to make sure I wasn't being overcharged. more

Cheapest place to stay :) 7/20/2011

This was by far the cheapest place to stay. It was clean, the staff was pleasant enough. If you don't expect perks (irons etc) of costly places, you'll be happy. The vending area had the usual slightly over priced snacks and items that travelers frequently need...toothpaste, condoms, etc. Although I found the area safer than most, I still wouldn't recommend that children be allowed to roam about unattended, at any motel, anywhere. more

Great 7/18/2011

Search results show the hotel name, a small hotel picture, price per night (before taxes), a small blurb about the hotel, and a link to hotel reviews. Clicking on a hotel will expand the hotel's information blurb, offer more pictures, an amenities list, Zagat ratings, a Priceline Guest Score Card (which ranks things such as staff, cleanliness, and dining), and brief three- or four-line reviews from guests. In my opinion, there is plenty of information for each hotel listed, and I don't think there is any information that is missing or, for that matter, unneeded. more

We loved it 7/12/2011

We stayed at Niantic and we loved it. First we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they just recently renovated the place so everything is brand new. Second it is by far the cheapest place we could find in the area. A lot of places in this part of Connecticut were quoting us prices anywhere between 75.00-250.00 but averagely around 120.00. Motel 6 only cost us 45.99 (we got 10% off for booking online on there website)!!!!!!! When we got there it was 2 a.m. and this extremely friendly lady checked us in, offered us extra towels, set our wake up call, and was just really great! We went in our room and it was amazing!!! Everything was so clean and brand new, it looked like they had just opened the place and we were the first people to stay in the room. In the morning we were welcomed to free coffee and checkout was a breeze! We went on our way that morning knowing we would happily return again if we return to the area, but they have such great casinos so close by I can’t imagine that we will stay far away for long. more

fairly easy 7/11/2011

The booking process was fairly easy. After selecting the room type - which specified the room's amenities and cancellation policies - I continued with the booking process by typing in all necessary contact and billing information. Priceline Hotels accepts all major credit cards, of course. One thing that concerned me was that the final bill - including all taxes and fees (which Priceline claims it "chopped in half") - was not available until I was on the final booking stages of the process. In my opinion, Priceline would be slightly more ‘ethical' to offer an all-in price before starting the booking price. more

absolutely no issues 7/6/2011

After verifying all information, I confirmed the reservation and submitted my payment. My credit card was charged immediately, but I had piece of mind knowing that I could cancel my reservation for a full refund up until noon the day prior to check-in. As such, I didn't need to show my credit card upon check-in. That being said, my reservation was exactly what I had booked - a deluxe room with two double beds and a coffee maker. Priceline charged me the correct amount, and there were absolutely no issues with the hotel reservation. more

Helpful 7/5/2011

First the reviews on this sight were VERY helpful. - bring your own toiletries and bath towels if you like big fluffy ones. It is an average hotel, staff is VERY polite and helpful. I called the hotel to book directly, but, they suggested I go online to save 10%. Due to last minute booking, (5 days in advance) we were in a smoking room. The room had that stale smell. I used some herbal (thieves) spray which helped, then I decided to check out the filter on the a/c. The filter had about 1/2 inch of debris. Washed it out in the shower and the room was much better. The room is spartan, but very clean, sheets are thin, the blanket looked like army surplus, towels are small and thin. The pool looked well maintained, a large L shape with plenty of room for kids and adults. For two people, this close to Mystic and the casino's, $90 on a Saturday night high summer season was a deal. BOOK early! I called 5 days in advance and all that was left were 3 rooms in the smoking section. While checking in at 9pm, 4 people came in looking for hotel rooms. more

Great 6/27/2011

Overall, I would certainly recommend Priceline Hotels. The website - while not necessarily the most refined - has great functionality and offers a large selection of hotels. The prices seem in line with what I would expect, and I saw all major hotel brands - and local brands - represented fairly. The website didn't give me any reason to call customer service or complain about anything in particular. To conclude, I wouldn't hesitate to use Priceline.com again in the future for a hotel reservation. more

I always use Hotels.com. Prices are pretty much always as good or better than anywhere and the site is really easy to use. Awesome. more

friendly, helpful staff 6/13/2011

"We stay in this area a lot, and foolishly thought that the further up I95 you go, the closer you are to the casinos. But when I got a room here for considerably less money than the other places were charging, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Pros: * Extremely conveniently located. It's straight off of the highway exit ramp. * Newly renovated, so most things were new. * Friendly, helpful staff. * Dining of all sorts is a stone's throw away. * Lots of shopping in the area. * Easy ride to the casinos." more

very satisfied 6/6/2011

Helpful and Nice 6/1/2011

My husband and I stay at this Niantic Motel very frequently. We are retired and enjoy the area. We have NEVER had a bad experience there. The staff is always helpful, the rooms are always comfortable (maybe they could be a little cleaner) however, each time we stay there, we enjoy it very much. The pool is a great amenity as well. Our theory is, if your polite, others will be polite. We have stayed over 50 times and while, I am sure, there are other more posh hotels, this hotel is great for the value and the staff can be very helpful and nice. If your looking for a Marriott, this is not it (obviously), but my husband and I recommend this motel to anyone for a comfortable and quiet stay. more
