Never had a better experience in moving until I tried this company. I was referred to them by a friend. She was very pleased with these guys, so I thought I'd give them a try. What do you know - they were fantastic. \r \r I had prepared for the moving as well as I could, but when they arrived they started packing everything. \r \r I had some random items laying around here and there, they grabbed a big wardrobe and put everything inside it. \r \r The furniture was wrapped in blankets, my fragile stuff was placed in bubble wrap with cardboard, mattresses were shrink wrapped. I would say that is really professional. My whole move, that I thought would be full of stress, has been one of the finest events for the past month. \r \r The guys were great, kept me entertained while moving my stuff back and forth. My friend recommended New York Movers and I contact this company and they were able to squeeze me in a week before my move. They had a man come out to my house to estimate how long the move would take and he gave me two payment options: He estimated the move would take 8 hours, so I could pay a flat fee for 8 hours up front or just pay per hour. I chose the flat fee. The day of move had a slogan: ""What could go wrong, will go wrong."" We hit so many snags during our move that I thought the guys were going to throw their hands in the air and say ""Forget this!"" The building I was moving from wouldn't let the truck in, then the building I was moving to didn't assign us an elevator so we had to use a tiny and slow one and worst of all, the new building didn't want the truck inside the property so the poor guys had to haul our furniture across the street. Needless to say, the move took over 8 hours. But the guys never complained - they were constantly cracking jokes. They were very careful with our furniture. They even saw that I was short a few boxes and provided me with some extras that they had in their truck. I'm more than satisfied with their work and recommend them to everyone. more

My New York Service Moving Company!. When I moved from my old apartment in NYC to a new place in NYC, I used the moving service of New York Movers , and it was my first experience moving my furniture with a local mover so I didn't know what to expect. I had heard from some of my friends how many movers are kind and courteous till they take your money and then the work is outsourced to some other company. Well but I had to move so I called the first company that I saw online with a decent number of positive reviews and that was this mover . When I called their Customer Service office they were very friendly and their office manager nice and friendly young lady gave me a price quote that was very accurate. I wasn’t charged extra for anything except $75 for packaging some of my stuff I decided to add. The driver and the movers were at my house on time and my stuff was delivered with no damages and on time. I would be happy to recommend this company to my friends and to anyone planning on moving soon. They packed and wrapped everything with care and the entire move happened to be just a stress-free moving experience! When I called the office, Roger was able to get me a quote in real time, he made sure I understand everything about the quote, and was very helpful in setting up everything with the buildings.Then on move day, his team were all hardworking, professional, and careful. I am impressed with all of them, It was just an unbelievable job all around. I felt proud to tip New York Movers , not just because they worked so hard and were such professionals, but also because it was an amazing show of strength. New York Movers - THE BEST. I had great experience with this company!! The crew arrived on time and got to work right away. New York Movers were incredibly careful not to damage my old/new apartments. The disassemble all the furniture that were too big , and wrapped them very nicely. When we got to my new home the movers unloaded everything pretty quick and reassemble what needed to be in the right rooms. New York Movers were fast and very careful, which is the most important things for me. GOOD JOB GUYS! more

I called New York Movers after being referred to them by a close friend that had ""The best moving experience ever!"" With out a doubt my moving experience was as well. The guys were strong, fast, polite, real expert movers. New York Movers padded and shrink wrapped all of my furniture, and used dollies and lifting straps I have never seen, state of the art equipment that made my move go that much faster. My move was completed faster than I would have dreamed, New York Movers placed all of my items where I needed them to be. I really appreciate the good character and hard work of New York Movers , I will recommend them to you and anyone else! more

My movers bailed on me the morning of my scheduled move. I called New York Movers in despair and Tomy made sure a crew could help me out that afternoon. They could only help for a short bit but New York Movers worked hard and quickly and moved all my heavy furniture. Definitely recommended. more

Highly, highly recommended. This was a corporate paid move from Manhattan to Miami Beach, Florida on October 30th of this year. We set everything up through Jennifer on October 15th and went over an inventory list and compared our in home estimates to that list and tweaked it over the next few days. Their quote was a little higher than one of the estimates and considerably lower than the other. We did not compile quotes from any other companies just the 3 mentioned and were pleased with all 3 companies more

We used this New York Movers based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move to Delaware. My company was paying for the service, the $1260 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our long distance move. \r Their staff arrived 15 minutes early and loaded our third-floor two-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. They were very careful with everything, and dealt with care and really well with our furniture. The amount they could haul was amazing! We met them in the city and they sent an extra guy to help with the unload, which made it a lot quicker considering the small elevator. The unload took about 2.5 hours, so the whole day (load, drive, unload) took 12 hours. They came in a little over the estimate, but we paid the capped rate and we gave just over a $250 tip. \r We really liked their help from the customer service, and their rates and the pricing policy. The guys were all very nice, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to use them again if possible in future moves. more

All I needed was to have one large (and beautiful) King Size Bed moved into my place. When I explained the piece and my situation to Tom, he recommended the ""New York Movers Treatment"" Option - and I was SO glad I took his advice. They have free storage at their Florida facility for up to 30 days, so you don't have to stress about racing to be at the destination before the movers arrive. 3) The price was reasonable; in the middle of the spectrum compared with the other estimates we received (i think we had around 6 estimates). The price we were estimated at was the price we paid (except for the tip, which we were more than happy to give). 4) They were very thorough with both the estimate and the packing. We moved from NJ to the East Bay of California. This difficult move was made so much easier by using California New York Express. They took such good care of our furniture, mirrors, pictures and valuables and were polite, helpful and on time. We stored everything with them before we could move into our house. They delivered our houseful of goods in one day and were so helpful by asking us where to place the over 200 boxes of ours.\r We highly recommend them to all.\r more
