New Beginning Salon Spa

Don't go here. They are inexperienced. Will leave you looking like a train wreck. In sddition the manager Terri is unhelpful and should probably not be in customer service. My haircut will probably take a good year to grow out. And the wouldn't issue a refund. I hope $58 was worth a bad review. more

I wantied highlights and the ends of my hair barley dusted off. I have been growing my hair out for several months now I was not pleased with the finished look, I told the stylist that, she proceeded to tell me how good it looked! She wanted me gone I was the last client of the day. The next day I called spoke with management, let me tell you how uncomfortable that was. She introduced herself at the time of the appointment, and then preceded to examine my asking me what about it I didn’t like, made me feel they didn’t believe me. Then they her and the stylist went to the back and proceeded to talk about it, I could see they were talking about me as other stylist were coming out of their looking at me. My roots were brassy lighter than the rest of the hair. Horrible uneven severely layered cut even the gal that tried to fix it said it was in bad shape. I’m not normally a complainer but they made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I paid $130 just wanted what I paid for. even then after the second time and my scalp on fire, I I'm disgusted and irritated with my second visitation and never plan on going back due to breakage & over processing and highlights. beware this could be you! more

For years I have spent my summers/fall in OR and was always concerned that I had not found someone who could do my hair and especially when it came to coloring, Well let me tell you Maria will be my hair specialist from now on when I am up here. I had just finished Chemo a few months before and my hair was so thin and coming in in stages and she gave me the cutest style and coloring. Now that my hair is longer (not much) she had modified the style to what best suits me. ps My hair is still a strange texture and coming in in stages. Maria if you ever read this you are the best. I love the people that work here and their services! Their facials are to die for.....ask for Stefanie....she is great! The only problem is I usually fall asleep and snore a little, which is embarrassing, but I guess that proves how relaxing and wonderful they are. Plus, great results; can really tell the difference. I have also enjoyed manicures, pedicures, which are also very good. I have purchased gift cards for friends for manicures/pedicures and they always rave about the experience and quality! Mikian is often at the front desk and he is one cool guy. He makes you feel welcome and at home as soon as you walk into the door. And, Beth is super great too; helpful, friendly and warm. This is a great place and if you haven't tried it, you are missing out, seriously...treat yourself and make an appointment soon! more

The experience at New Beginnings salon was so terrible I can not even understand how they are even open still, and after reading other reviews I found that I was not alone.. The customer service was the worst, I have never been treated so awful not only by the staff but the OWNER!!! This salon is giving the Aveda name a bad rep! And the OWNER is Childish and Threatening hangs up on you and yells at you! They Charge accounts and don't even do the services, check your bank if you have gone to this joke of a salon. more

This is the best salon I have ever been to. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I drive down from Seattle to get my hair done by Amanda. She always has great ideas, and my hair is perfect every time! Anyone in need of a new stylist, go see Amanda. more

I've been to my fair share of aveda salons and this one knocks them all out of the water! My stylist Amanda does an amazing job with my crazy hair shes really helped me get it back healthy. I never feel pressured to buy product or add on services. I have not had spa services yet but Amanda took me upstairs and gave me a tour last time I was in. The girls at the desk were helpful also and very friendly. Made me feel welcome and the glass of wine was nice too. A pedicure will be next on my list more

I was so excited to find a salon in the area that do the feather extensions. I absolutly love mine its so much fun and Amanda was very helpful with the placement and choosing the different combination of feathers. I will be back for sure! Thanks guys more

I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone who is looking for a stylist. She knows her stuff and is fast yet efficient! She does the best color and cut and knows what looks good on me. more

I love this place - I can relax while my daughter gets her hair done and browse the extensive Aveda product line or schedule my next spa treatment. Amanda does fantastic cuts and styles, and is great to work with - reliable, helpful and does gorgeous work. My daughter has been so delighted each time we see Amanda for a cut and style. If I ever need a hair extension, Amanda is who I will see. The reminder calls are friendly - it struck me how genuine the front desk staff were after a visit or two, which I truly appreciate. I never feel rushed or in their way, (as I have felt at other salons at times). It's a very welcoming and enjoyable experience. more

I started going to New Beginning 6 months ago and I have had a great experience every time! Their manicures are amazing! And when I had to leave, my manicurist carried all my things so I didn't smudge my polish! Everyone does anything they can to make you feel at ease. I love getting welcomed with the offer of a drink and waiting on the sunny patio for my appointment. The front desk people are so welcoming and always call with a friendly attitude to remind me of my appointments. Sarah Jane does my hair and I would recommend her to anyone. Other salons have a hard time cutting my hair but she worked miracles! All I can say is go for yourself! You deserve it! more

I have gone to New Beginning Salon for multiple different services and products. I love the aveda products (Mikian specifically has been extremely helpful, he is very knowledgeable about the aveda products and always helfpful and friendly) and I love how they offer you a drink and a chocoloate! more

Where to begin.....from the very first second you walk in and meet one of the other wonderful front desk people, to one of their many luxurious services, this is the best place to go! I especially love working with Beth to schedule my appointment or purchase products. She is very knowledgeable, always friendly and is really great at what she does. I've never been to new beginnings but I have received many massages from Sean.I always almost fall asleep every time. He is just starting over at Aveda but I would recommend him to any one. He is friendly, out-going and he will make your experience very enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and he knows what he is doing. His massages are very relaxing and rewarding. He uses different styles of massage types that range from therapeutic to relaxing. So if your in pain or just need a moment of relaxation he will take good care of you!!!! you'll Definitely get your moneys worth!! more

If you have battled with curly/frizzy hair your whole life, I have the answer for you: AVEDA products!!! They rock and the staff at New Beginning help you find just what you need. The employees at the front desk (Beth in particular) are very informed and helpful. You never feel rushed and are given all the attention you need. If you are looking for a stylist, JoeAnn knows exactly what to do. I have gone from having to wear my hair up every day to receiving multiple compliments on my hair every time I go out. I just want to take a moment and tell you about the wonderful experience that I had at this salon. I walked in just needing a few productsand was pleased to find this AVEDA salon. I love the AVEDA name and it's mission the stand by plus I always get greeted with the friendly staff.( Mikian) went above and beyond he was very friendly and personal. He asked me if I needed any help and I asked him about the Green Science face cream cause it was no longer on the shelf and he informed me that they were in the process of reformulating it and that it would be back soon. Then he recommended the Tourmaline Hydrating Creme and said it was comparable to the Green Science which I love. I have been using it for a couple of night and love it! The salon is gorgeous and relaxing and unlike anything I have seen before. I have never had a service and(Mikian) asked and I told him no and he said how awesome they are! I am definitely going back with what he recommended and more cause everybody is very friendly there! Thanks MIkian for your help:) more

I have been to this salon a handful of times now and every time it is a great experience! I have been to JoAnn each time and she always does a fantastic job on my haircut and highlights. She is so friendly and fun to talk too which is always a nice quality in a stylist! Another thing I love is the extra pampering when you get your hair done....a foot soak if you are under the dryer, a short hand massage while getting your hair washed, and a lip gloss application on your way out, all complimentary! I also have never gotten product pushed on me which I really appreciate!! Give this salon a try and if you go for hair ask for JoAnn! more

Diana gave me an awesome pedicure on my Birthday. They even gave me the drink of the month (which they serve on Wednesday's only) just for me for my Birthday (which was on Thursday). I will be back for more pampering. Thank you Diana Pros: Pedicure was great (also love the chairs) more
