Dr. Paul Casey is the best! My ophthalmologist highly recommended Dr. Casey for my cataract surgeries. I'm 77 years old and see better now than I have in over 50 years. Dr. Casey is a very kind, highly skillful surgeon who will take time to answer any questions you might have. I highly recommend Dr. Casey and his staff for their competence and caring. more

Appointment at 8:30, saw the doctor at 10:00. A Tech performed my son's vision test and put dilation drops in his eyes before ever seeing the doctor. I explained very clearly that he was there for Amblyopia (lazy eye), which is a medical condition. When we finally saw the doctor he did a physical examination of my son's eyes and did absolutely no check of his vision. He made no effort to confirm that the prescription that the Tech wrote was correct. With my son's condition, his prescription is not only for the purpose of improving his eyesight, it is also for the purpose of helping to strengthen his weaker eye. The only person qualified to write the prescription for my son is the actual doctor. However, Dr. Park was not interested in checking my son's eyesight. My son even questioned the prescription and how the exam by the Tech was done, because it was done in a manner he is not used to. Dr. Park said that it was too late at that point for him to check since his eyes had already been dilated. We left with a prescription written by a Tech with Dr. Park's signature on it. Dr. Park only examined the basic health of my son's eyes and never evaluated him for the Amblyopia, which was the reason we came for the visit. This is not how a doctor's office should be run, and this is not the normal standard of care for a patient. I would not recommend this facility or this doctor. I'm now in a position where I have to find another doctor to complete the proper exam and put my son through the entire ordeal again. more

Dr. Ben Casey, Opthomoligist 3/21/2012

Dr Casey has been my eye doctor for 13 years. Before his private pratice he treated my deceased husband and I through O'Callahan Federal Hospital. My husband had major eye problems due to Diabeties and strokes. Dr Casey has removed cataracts from both our eyes, as well as other surgical procedures. I trust him and recommend him. He is perfectly professonal and takes all the time you need to explain and talk to you about your specific problems. I have never seen or heard him be confrontational, ever. I have worked as an Opthomoligist back room assistant with two other doc's and Dr. Casey is far and away the best. Nancy Price more

terrible office. terrible doctor 9/13/2011

Terrible office! Terrible Doctor! I made a first time appointment to see Dr. Paul Casey. When i made the appointment i specifically asked how long the appointment would be due to the fact i have 2 small children and would need a sitter. The receptionist (unfortunately i do not have her name) informed me that i should be out the door in about an hour. I did not see the doctor until 2 HOURS after my appointment time. When i informed Dr. Casey that i was displeased he proceeded to raise his voice at me. Yes, he offered a refund if i wanted to leave without the prescription for my glasses. He spoke in a aweful tone which actually made me cry. Not a single person in the office offered any kind of apology. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Dr Casey is rude, and quite mean. more

Beware of Paul Casey 6/12/2011

If you are considering using Dr. Paul Casey and/or Nevada Eye Care for any type of visual care, you owe it yourself to read this. I went in to his office after seeing his ad to improve my vision. He told me I had early signs of cataracts and suggested replacing my lens with the top of the line lens at that time. I put my faith and eyes in his care and have regretted it ever since. Bottom Line, He put the wrong power lens in my left eye and I have documentation to prove the following. After the surgery, I asked Dr. Casey how he could be so far off on correcting my vision in the left eye and he told me I could see 20/20. No doctor could tell you what you see out of your own eye and I could not read the top line of the chart. He became visually and emotionally upset from my question and stated that there is not another surgeon within a thousand miles that can do what he does. Blatant Arrogance and disrespect from me from that point on. I asked to be handed off to another physician in his office, he refused. I’ve had exams by most of the eye surgeons here in Las Vegas and at the Jules Stein Institute at UCLA. NONE have understood why he did what he did. My motivations are not for money because he had sent me a Release & Settlement Agreement to sign, which states that I will not tell anyone about this or go to any new station or newspaper about this matter. I did not sign this agreement because I want other people to aware of what he might do to them. more
