Appointment at 8:30, saw the doctor at 10:00. A Tech performed my son's vision test and put dilation drops in his eyes before ever seeing the doctor. I explained very clearly that he was there for Amblyopia (lazy eye), which is a medical condition. When we finally saw the doctor he did a physical examination of my son's eyes and did absolutely no check of his vision. He made no effort to confirm that the prescription that the Tech wrote was correct. With my son's condition, his prescription is not only for the purpose of improving his eyesight, it is also for the purpose of helping to strengthen his weaker eye. The only person qualified to write the prescription for my son is the actual doctor. However, Dr. Park was not interested in checking my son's eyesight. My son even questioned the prescription and how the exam by the Tech was done, because it was done in a manner he is not used to. Dr. Park said that it was too late at that point for him to check since his eyes had already been dilated. We left with a prescription written by a Tech with Dr. Park's signature on it. Dr. Park only examined the basic health of my son's eyes and never evaluated him for the Amblyopia, which was the reason we came for the visit. This is not how a doctor's office should be run, and this is not the normal standard of care for a patient. I would not recommend this facility or this doctor. I'm now in a position where I have to find another doctor to complete the proper exam and put my son through the entire ordeal again.
