Charged $140 for a drain cleaning. Within days, the drain is worse. They won't touch it again without another $140 charge.\r

On 18 October Nelson's Plumbing visited, and snaked our kitchen sink drain, which was blocked and draining slowly. We are new occupants in this house. Nelson's Plumbing reported that initial blockage as grease. We never put grease down the drain, but the previous owner may have done. On 1 November, the drain completely blocked, without even draining slowly. Within this time period, and with our careful kitchen drain habits, this could only be the result of shoddy work the first time, which likely dislodged debris without removing it, which then collected and more severely stopped the drain. Nelson's Plumbing was unwilling to concede in any way that their previous work was inadequate. They insist that the only possibility is that we're putting inappropriate waste down the drain--which collects and stops the drain apparently at a rate of every--other-week. (In my 13 year marriage, and having lived almost exclusively in 50-120 year-old homes, we've had our kitchen sink snaked maybe 5 times.)
