I was thrilled with my experience at the Naz Kupelian Salon. From atmosphere to the services offered, this salon takes the cake. I went in for a cut, color, and blow-out my hair has never looked better. I had my first appointment with Naz, and he has serious talent. I also was surprised by the range of services the Naz Kupelian offered. Nothing this salon does is sub-par; everyone is professional and excellent at what they do. I have gone back multiple times for upkeep, eyebrow waxes (great shape!) and for a styling for a formal event. This place does not know how to dissappoint. more

Amazing cut, color and product 9/2/2011

I always have so much fun going to see Naz. He is a wiazard with the scissors and always, always listens to what I want from my haircut. He is great at interpreting the newest styles with my lifestyle (I need to be able to jump from the shower and have my hair ready to go!) I would highly recommend this salon to anyone! It's worth the drive from Boston! more

Best Cut! 2/13/2011

This place was fantastic in many ways. First and foremost they are excellent at cutting hair. I've tried lots of places and this is the best cut I've had in many years. In addition to doing a great job, Naz asked all the right questions: What are you looking for? How short? What kinds of styling do you do with your hair? Are you willing to put products in your hair? In the end, he created a haircut I love that's also low maintenance. Wonderful! In addition to getting a great haircut, I had a great overall experience at the salon. The environment is beautiful and the people are extremely nice and professional. more

Refreshing Experience! 2/13/2011

Love this salon! It's such a refreshing experience. The staff is fun, hip and gets it! Ive gotten my hair done by Waffa and Na z and they are both amazing! I still get stopped on the street by people asking me where I get my highlights done. A++! more

Naz is rude and his color was awful. 1/17/2011

Naz is rude and his color was awful. I arrived on Saturday right before my appt. Naz made me wait 20 minutes. I started explaining the color I want and I brought pictures. I wanted brown with golden highlights. He told me I was taking too much of his time for this explanation. I still went ahead with it, thinking even though he was rude his work would be good. The color came out black and the highlights almost silver. I hated it. I told him I didn't like it, he did something to it, but the hair color was still black, and the highlights were slightly better. I would never ever go back to him, after paying $230 I expect to get the color I want and good service and I didn't get either. Think twice before going. more

Refreshing Salon Experience 3/27/2010

I got a Valentine's day certificate for a facial, hair cut and blowout and I was in desperate need of them! I had a great facial with Lisa. She knew the nature of my skin right away. The flow of the facial was perfect with hand/arm massage and uplifting music (not spa radio musak). She didn't try to sell me products and she taught me so much about how to better take care of my skin with simple routines, and using sugar with my face wash to make an exfoliant. After (I can't remember his name. started with an A) I had a great haircut! Again no pushing products although I did buy the one he used to finish my hair (it smelled great and it turns out didn't cost $50...just $12). The cut was fresh and new for me with a little bit of edginess. He was confident about what would be good for my look and really knew what he was doing. As Lisa said, it's kind of like a family. I'll definitely be back...and it's so easy to get to! Pros: great cut, so friendly, knowledgeable, relaxing Cons: a little out of the way, but not really more

Best Suburban Salon in New England 3/13/2010

If you want a great cut and color go to this salon. I was hesitant to try this salon since I have been going to newbury street for years but after reading some reviews online I decided to give it a try. Not only was the service great but Naz listened to what I wanted and was very honest at the same time. In my opinion, you do not want a stylist to give you a look that will not suit your face. After the consultation we sat down and we went through the cut and the end result was wonderful. The cut is not only long the way I like it but he layers are wonderful and it takes me 20 minutes less to style my hair in the mornings. I urge everyone I know to give this salon a try. While was there the woman after me said she was from New York and drives all the way to Lexington MA! to get a cut from Naz. Pros: Parking is easy! more

It's funny that very few people know that this guy exists..I'm sure like al lgood Boston secrets soon the masses will ruin this salon..but for now it is a true ""great find salon"" - The owner of the salon is Naz Kupelian, an international hair artist and he is a true genius! Check this guy out and you'll never visit a Newbury Street Salon again! more

I love, love, love this place. It is a one-stop shop for me...not only do they have the best aesthetician in the area in Dimitra, but Waffa always makes me look fabulous no matter the haircut! Take it from someone who has actually been there; the workers are all incredibly friendly and caring, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. more

One Stop Shopping! 12/8/2008

I've been going to Naz Kupelian Salon for about 4 years and it is the best decision I have ever made. I have been to Newbury St. and all these fancy salons, but none compare to the service and expertise you get at Naz. They not only have very skilled, professional, and friendly hairdressers/stylists, they have a really good esthetician team as well. It's one stop shopping to get pampered and beautiful. I really would recommend this salon to anyone; if you don't know what you want, they will help you! If you do know what you want, they will do exactly that! I've never been happier. The negative comments are very untrue, this salon is the best I've been to and is great for everyone. Pros: Skillset Cons: Nothing more

the only place to go for good hair 12/8/2008

I went in there with a loose idea of what I wanted. But I was amazed at how their staff was able to use my ideas and really tansform them in to the style I was looking for. Very good at listening to a bad description and making it an amazing hair cut. Thanks. more

I have never been to the salon, but Naz, who is supposedly a big time legend in this field, cut my friends hair a while ago, Understanding how well known and respected this man is, and i have heard he is really nice, he is ignorant, i dont care how well known you are, if someone wants their hair cut a certain way, you do it that way, you dont take it upon yourself because your a big shot to do what you want, who is the person who has to wear it, Naz?? i dont think so, how would he like it if someone shaved his head bald and said it looked good because THEY liked it like that, ignorant and dumb and i have no respect, as for his salon, bet its nice, bet he is a nice guy, but who the hell is somebody to cut someones hair how they want it, dumb. Read the girls comment below mine or wherever it is, how the stylist Sharon did the same thing. SHE MADE THE PERSON CRY AND IT TOOK THEM A YEAR TO GROW BACK, STRAIGHT RIDICULOUS, thinking they are god almighty with the scissors, that is not fair and if i could swear on this i would. Got Eyebrows? 5/23/2008

I have been going to Naz Kupelian Salon for years now and I have to say that I would never think about going anywhere else. Besides the amazing haircut I get, I leave with the most gorgeous eyebrows. Their esthetician, Dimitra Tavitian has been in the hair removal and skincare business for almost a decade. I have never met a professional with so much love for her clients. She also has a unique style in applying makeup, always providing the client with exactly what they have asked for. Dimitra does more than just eyebrows, but in my eyes it's her specialty. If you're the type of person who wants truly symmetric eyebrows, needs makeup done for an event, or simply needs to be waxed, go to Dimitra at Naz Kupelian Salon... it is definitely worth every penny! Pros: skill you cannot find anywhere else more

Naz Kupelian Experience 5/20/2008

I am a brand new client to Naz Kupelian and I had a great experience and wanted to share it with everyone. My friend recommended me to see her stylist ,Sharon Sheppard. I had been going to Boston for the last couple of years and wanted to try something out of the city. I booked an appointment with Sharon and am so glad that I did. My hair has never looked better. She was plesant, professional and actually cared to know what I wanted. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and referred all my friends to see her. I highly recommend Sharon to everyone.. worst haircut EVER 3/30/2008

i was recommended to Naz Kupelian by a friend... so i made an appt. (i had beautiful hair) i asked for a trim (1-2 inches) and i wanted to have the SAME exact haircut that i had at the time, so i had Sharon, she was very nice but she should not be a hairdresser, when you're a hairdresser working in a nice salon like Naz Kupelian especially when someone is paying a nice chunk of change on a haircut you should do exactly what they say they want done..... not with her... she BUTCHERED my hair, she put all kinds of crazy short layers, and thinned my hair out wayyyy to much and not to mention she cut about 6 inches of my hair off!!! SHE DID WHAT SHE WANTED TO DO AND NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR AT ALL!!!! never in my life have i cried over a haircut until her! IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST A YEAR OR TWO TO GROW THIS HORRIBLE HAIRCUT OUT.... i STRONGLY recommend that if you go to this salon do not have that butcher touch your hair ! NAZ KNOWS STYLE!!!!!! 3/10/2006

I have been a loyal client to Naz for many years. I enjoy going to his salon because the entire staff are very friendly as well as professional. Everytime I enter the salon I am greeting by everyone. They actually go out of there way to say hello and how are you?. Most salons you go to is, ""Hi, who's your appointment with? Okay have a seat."" At the Naz Kupelian Salon they make you feel at home and relaxed. Naz's wife Susan is very accomodating. I am a client that calls very last minute and will need the whole works done. She always fits me in because as everyone knows Naz is booked months in advance. I love the way my hair comes out I am always opened to new looks and Naz knows just what to do. I recommend this salon to everyone. NAZ KNOWS STYLE!!!!!!!!! Pros: WONDERFUL MUSIC, VERY RELAXING, Very Accomodating more
