Best

Nava is back! The pan seared scallops over smoked tomato grits and a saffron tostada are out of this world. We sat outside on the patio and had the tastiest margaritas in town. ...

Worst

We, the four of us, had dinner at Nava. The experience can be barely qualified as average and we rated it as inconsistent. To the side of very good entrees, such as Pan-Roasted ...

IMPRESSIVE 2/18/2004

What can I say about Nava other than it is impressive. This is a standout in the city and one of the Buckhead Life Groups better achievements. The style of food is exceptional, the flavors are to die for. The Sonoma Jack Cheese Fritters are so delicious and the Rabbit Tostada outstanding. Love the environment and service is impeccable. Pros: Food, Style, Quality more

Way Too Salty 1/2/2004

I think the kitchen staff the night we dined at Nava (New Years Eve 2003) must have had a salt fetish - the blue corn bread, the appetizers and the entrees were way too salty. On the other hand, the desserts were lovely and the margaritas superb. Would I every eat there again? - No Way! Pros: good service more

Great Experience 5/20/2003

Service was attentive. Food was great. Definitely one of the best of the Buckhead Life Restaurants. I speak from experience I've visited all but three. more

pretentious 2/25/2003

- service was poor (once seated, we had to wait 10 minutes before a waiter came on a quiet late Sunday night) - food was average for this kind of restaurant, not really good, just ok (the price is ridiculously expensive for the quality) - dessert was good - wine list correct (Feb 2003) Cons: food, service more

My fave in Atlanta 2/22/2003

I was in Atlanta for a month working on a project. Being on an expense account I decided to try every nice place I could find in the city. After trying Nava once I was hooked. Every item on the menu was literally bursting with flavor and so very tender. I found myself going there over and over again either with clients or on dates. Excellent. Pros: Location more

My Favorite!! 12/27/2002

I love Nava! Great food, the breads, the chicken tacos, the steaks are amazing! They have an innovative menu. Upscale but fun, lively crowd. Great service, and ambiance! This place is truly worth checking out! Most of all, it is consistently good and that is hard to find. more

Meat Lovers Rejoice! 12/13/2002

Vegitarians need not apply! This place has terriffic gormet Southwestern food. Get started with a lobster taco (overflowing with lobster) or an interesting new take on a tamale topped with shrimp. The entrees will not disappoint with such huge portions as the Cowboy Cut Beef Tenderloin (get it with the jalepeno-corn whipped potatos). Or, the suncrusted snapper will certainly reward your taste buds. You can finish it off with the bannana enchilada (rolled chocolate flour tortillas stuffed with cream cheese and covered with caramel and bannana slices). GET IN MY BELLY! The presentation only makes it taste better. The service has always been top notch. Once, we arrived on time and our table was not ready. We were given two free appitizers without saying a word. Nice touch. I love this place....but I'm no vegitarian. Pros: Ambiance, Food quality, Blue cornbread Cons: coldwater in restroom, small beer selection more

good food, unique setting 12/10/2002

Our meal at Nava lived up to expectations. The blue corn chowder was excellent, and the fish dish i had was very tasty. Service was fine, not spectacular. Pros: great fish, great appetizers more

NAVA AGAIN? OF COURSE! 11/14/2002

Nava is one of the top 3 restaurants in ATL. I send everyone there just to experience the fantastic drinks and desserts if nothing else. The raspberry creme brulee is enough to keep any normal person coming back again and again. I give this place an excellent recommendation to anyone! Pros: Great atmosphere, Fantastic Food, Great people Cons: Sometimes crowded, getting into the lot more

nava is a waste 11/11/2002

i have been to many of the buckhead life group restaurants and most of the newer ones do not impress me. besides the pear margarita, the food was average and the service was sub-par. if you want to eat well in atlanta, there are much more superb restaurants than this one. try la grotta, horseradish grill, and canoe to name a few. more

Nava - the total package! 11/8/2002

Nava has it all, great food, great service, great ambiance. The chef is amazing and I always recommend this place to visitors or people looking for a great overall dining experience. Pros: Ambiance, Service, Food more

Service was a nightmare 10/14/2002

The atmosphere is definitely cool but... I had special dietary needs which the server assured me could be accomodated. Yet they weren't. Everyone else in the party had their meals and were munching away for more than 20 minutes before we were able to catch our server's attention. When I pointed out what I had originally requested, she said that was what I received and walked away. So I sat there, not touching the food. And of course, she didn't bother to remove it from the bill and didn't comment when she removed the untouched plate. Despite my personal experience, everyone else felt the meal was okay to good, depending on what they had, but everything was pricey and the portions seemed small for the dinner meal. By the way, we weren't there during the heavy traffic time - we sat down at 5:30pm. more

Awesome 10/11/2002

Lobster Tacos, pork loin, margaritas, unbelieveable. Service, great. Atmosphere - if you can sit on the patio it's really nice too. Basically one of your 'sure things' in Atlanta. Pros: food, service, atmosphere Cons: buckhead (in general) more

Great Bar crowd too! 8/10/2002

Great bartenders and a knowledgeable staff that helped me decide on the perfect drink and food. Bring your friends and ask for John the bartender more

Nava Say Nava Again 7/30/2002

This restaurant has a truly innovative southwestern menu and everything is delicious, but the lobster enchilada is my favorite. The Prickly Pear Margarita is to die for. We have tried to imitate it at home without success. I have never had a bad meal or bad experience at this restaurant and love to take out of town guests there because it's definately not run-of-the-mill. Pros: excellent food, nice patio, great service Cons: crowded, expensive, pay parking more

The Best 7/28/2002

Nava is definitely a five star restaurant and everything was excellent. The best service, food, everything... The food was especially succulent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice romantic dinner whether it be with a group of friends or to propose. more

Upscale southwest 7/22/2002

I love Nava. It is the place I go to when there is a special occasion. The wait staff is very attentive and can give good recommendations from the menu. The fried oyster appetizers are super. My favorites are the pan seared scallops and the grilled shrimp. Don't be surprised to find that you like the ""sun dried tomato grits"" and the ""white bean enchiladas"" that come with them. If you like dark chocolate, try the B&B cube. more

B & B Cube to die for! 7/19/2002

Save room for dessert. All that we've had are wonderful, but our favorite, hands down, is the B&B cube! Nava is a fun restaurant all around. It's a great place to take a date and visitors from out of town. We love Nava! Pros: desserts, ambience, service more

one word - Grrreeeaattt 6/26/2002

I've never had a bad experience here in the last five years. I went with my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary and it made our night. They have a great selection and great food. There's a reason why the NBC staf dined here every day for lunch during the Olympics. The food is just Damn good. Period. more

SouthWORST Food!!! 6/22/2002

Despite having reservations, we still waited 45 min. for a table. Drinks brought to us were not the same as ordered, and the beef tenderloin was not cooked as specified. The snapper was not as fresh as it should have been for the price. Moreover, ""sorry"" was not in the vocabulary of any of the staff during this terrible dining ordeal. The next table even found a hair in their food. Being from New Mexico, this is terrible respresentation of Southwestern cuisine. more
