I used the Executive Class service, and was able to walk off the shuttle bus, into the aisle and picked whatever I liked - I go into a nice, well-equipped Dodge Durango that had a navigation system and satellite radio, and I was off in no time! One of the fastest rental transactions I have ever had, and loved the quality of the vehicle! more

I have always had good experience with National at LAX. On my most recent visit I stumbled on the sidewalk and jammed my baby finger, which turned out to be dislocated. One off the people near by came over to see if I was ok. She was a staff person and was a great help, getting me my car and an address for Urgent care and so on. It was not a serious injury but I did value the help and quick service. more

I will admit in the past few years i had avoided national due to some past negative experiences. This recent trip at airport in LAX made all the difference for our family's recent stay. in addition to the professionalism received from start to finish, at check out i had some information incomplete that would have had me go back to the counter to clean up and that would have been an ""arrrrrgh"" moment. young lady was awesome, we were on our way and suv was awesome for the trip. decided to start using again and currently in Hawaii Kona using and again great from start to current as we go. always issues in business but when some go out there way from drivers helping with your bags especially when traveling with kids, to check out it makes a difference. good luck on your adventures, Jeff more

I usually love the service at National car rental as i use them for all our company business rental. This last rental, i noticed a few ants when i was driving out of the gate, and once i got on the freeway, i noticed a lot of ants are in the car. I was in a hurry to get to a business meeting and thus did not have time to turn back and switch my car. This is a surprise to me and made my driving experience horrible. When i returned the car, when the guy open the driver door, he noticed there were lots of ants on the bottom of the door, what a surprise. Be sure to check your car before you leave the gate even if you are in a hurry. \r Other than this bug situation, their service is great, and they make it very easy for you to get in and get out. more

Normally I like National. We use them for all our buisness rentals. But LAX is a whole different story. They don't run near enough busses. I stand out there most the time at least 30 mins. watching all the other rental car companies go by at least 3 or 4 times. Then when the National bus finally arrives there is such a crowd trying to get on. Why can't they run more like the others? When you rfeturn your car it is the same story. Bus sits there until they can't put another person on then finally leaves. From here on out when I fly to LAX I'll use another rental car. more

Helpful and friendly staff, there were plenty of cars available and they were willing to answer and help in any way. I was in and received a car very quickly. On my return again it was quick and they were very curtious. A good experience. more

great rental, lousy bus 6/17/2014

Car Rental and Return is great. Love being able to pick and drive off the lot. I'm not happy about the bus ride to the terminal. Not enough of them during peak hours, traffic is terrible, and there are some really slow lights that can make getting to/from the rental facility a 15 to 25 min. trip. more
