Nathalie's Fish House is a jewel 5/2/2009

Nathalie's Fish house is an easy casual ,cozy place for fresh seafood ,homemade chowders, amazing fish tacos and perfectly made key lime pie. Inside ,the resaurant is a reminder of a little place in Key West where you can sit at a table or at the bar.and the seating outside is like a small seaside cafe. The menu offers fresh oysters. raw or baked..shrimp by the pound and wonderful appetizers. The fried fish, shrimp, oysters are made with panko beadcrumbs and the beer battered fish was delicate moist and melted at the touch of a fork. The mahi mahi fish tacos blackened with chopped tomato, lettuce sliced onion and large slices of avacado on a soft taco were so good that I knew I had to write a review. For dessert you must make absolutally sure you have the homemade key lime pie..smooth ,rich and tart . This little jewel is easy, casual and delicious. Each month. a different area is featured. according to the season.such as Spring in Iberia,Low Country Boil.and Summer on the Riviera. Pros: Fresh seafood in a casual, comfortable setting more

fresh seafood! yum!!! 2/21/2009

i've been eating at nathalie's for years. they always have fresh seafood, and the coastal cuisine specials that they run throughout the year keep things new and fun. have you ever had beer battered salmon fingers? they sound fishy but they're soooo tasty. i once ordered an octopus soup during their mediterranean week which was awesome. the ahi poke they make during hawaii week is the best i've had since leaving ohahu. now that i think about it, i've never been dissapointed in anything i've ordered there. honestly, if you enjoy seafood, and you can appreciate a good margarita, drop by nathalie's.. you won't regret it. and finish your meal off with thier home made key lime pie! it gets busy sometimes, but the food is worth the wait. my biggest complaint is parking. it's hard to find places to park in downtown decatur in general. also, i've bad service on one or two occasions, but like i said before, by the time i had my oyster shooters, i was in such a good place, it didn't matter Pros: fresh seafood, fun atmosphere Cons: small parking lot more

Fries fried in old oil 5/8/2007

I was recommended to Nathalie's Fish House aka Levi's by a co-worker to sample their burger. The service was quick in the beginning, but when the food arrived, I almost couldn't believe my eyes. All 3 plates had hard fries cooked in day old oil. The fries were dark as if the oil had not been changed all day. It reminded me of why I never order chinese food late at night. The burger was okay. I had it well done, not dry. A friend had the fried tilapia, and said it was good, but by the amount she left on the plate it makes me wonder. Based on the reviews, I was disappointed, as I thought it was going to be a hidden gem. For me if the place doesn't have good fries, is not worth going back. Pros: Close to work Cons: Left me still hungry more

Tacky!--But A Very Good Tacky! 9/15/2006

Walk thru the front door, and walk into a tacky Key West Seafood Shack. I was hung-over, and this was the place I wanted to be. Seashells, beachballs, pink flamingos, and whatever else you could think of, with a night at the beach hangover. I promptly ordered one of the best Mojito's I've had in many years. Fresh mint, lime juice and dark rum. Levi's offers a variety of six fresh fish specials daily. Have it fixed your way-fried, blackened, broiled or steamed. I started with a cup of fresh oyster stew. Wow, just a small cup had around eight nice oysters in it, and was very creamy. I decided I needed a grease fix, and ordered a shrimp basket with fries and hushpuppies. Only $9.99. It came with eight, not six, jumbo shrimp, coated in a beer batter. It was what the doctor ordered. I left happy, and my head felt much better! Very nice friendly staff! more

Self proclaimed as the Tackiest Restaurant don't let the bright Florida-esq decor detour you. Levi's has awesome food, no frozen fish here, always freshest, most delicious seafood in town! Try the Calamari and hushpuppies you won't be disappointed. The service is great with the owners typically hanging around to make sure everyone walks away pleased. more

Decatur Tacky Shack everything it cracks up to be 5/10/2005

Unpretentious atmosphere sets off this Decatur seafood shack. Levi's succeeds in emulating a Florida tacky atmosphere with a good food value. This is not your chi-chi dining experience, but a neighborly place where we feel at home. We eat here often and always find the food excellent and service genuinely friendly and attentive. The fish has always been fresh and well prepared. Chowders and sides are well prepared and the vinegary cole slaw is a nice complement. We usually go with the value fish tilapia grilled or fried and always come away satisfied. Conversation is usually easy inside or out. Kick back, enjoy a good meal without sticker shock. Only con is you must order hushpuppies as one of your sides with most entrees. Pros: Good seafood value, Friendly atmosphere, Conversational Cons: Hushpuppies are extra more

Walk in the door I thought I was in Key West. I was extremely pleased with the service and the quality of the food. I went in thinking that it would be ok and left thinking wow that was really good! Decent pricing too which shocked me as well. I definitly recommend this place for the great food, ambiance (especially the patio) and good pricing. Kudos to you guys! more

My wife and I have been to Levi's dozens of times. I can't remember an occasion when the owner wasn't visible and didn't drop by our table at least once to check on how we were enjoying the experience. The fish is ALWAYS fresh, never frozen, and there aren't many places with as perfect a selection. There are always around six choices of fresh seafood, prepared in your choice of ways, from fried to grilled, to broiled or blackened. We think it's exciting that the fish menu changes nightly, so there's always a new selection to try. And the side orders--such as the excellent black beans & rice with sour cream and tomato/pepper/onion relish--are also of high caliber. As for the atmosphere, it's fun and funky, a real touch of Key West, FL. There's also a neat outside patio on a Decatur side street. Pros: Cuisine, Service, Atmosphere Cons: , Bad parking more

I've eaten here with my father, mother, wife and two kids under 4 on 4 separate occasions. Very kid friendly in early evening. Calamari is good, fish dishes fresh, daughter loves the hushpuppies. Never had a bad experience. Service was prompt and courteous. Pros: fresh fish, margaritas, good value Cons: parking more

While writing up some user documentation for a project, I decided I wanted to eat out some place casual. I dropped by and was seated immediately, as was treated to above-average oysters on the half shell, conch gumbo and a great grilled fish sandwich. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, and I wish I had gotten my waitress' name, as she was one of the non-cheesily nicest waitpersons I've ever encountered. Pros: great food, friendly service, tasty beverages Cons: some outdoor seating, is kinda scrunched, limited parking more
