Was referred to Dr. Napoli by my friend who also was referred to him by a friend. I have to say I am shocked to see some of the reviews about him. I have never not recvd a return call from him, have never been rushed out of his office, have never had any questions not answered and did not feel he was rude or condescending in any way.\r I had gestational diabetes when I was about 6 months pregnant and he was all over it. He contacted me with my results of every test and never had me do anything that was not needed. I also had complications while at the perinatologist and had to be hospitalized and he was right there. He had top reform a c-section due to my complications and I had no problems. \r I have referred other to him and they too love him! \r more

i had been going to Dr. Napoli for over 20 years. i used to love the fact that i was in and out of his office in a flash until i needed care. first, he misdiagnosed fibroids for a hernia. okay, i put up with that. my follow-up visit was the absolute worst exam. He was rough and yelling in pain did not seem to matter to him. i felt like a slab of meat thrown on the table. after the exam in his office questioning fibroid treatment, i was told not to worry and he wouldn't answer questions and when he did he was rude and condescending and i felt rushed out of his office. the topper to all of this, is i changed doctors after that and went across the street where they found a lump in my breasts on first visit. i have had biopsies and a lumpectomy and if it wasn't for the dr. next door, i'm not sure it would have been caught it in its earliest stages. Friends and family left him years ago because of bad experiences, i should have followed and so should you. Cons: condescending and uncaring more

I trusted him and It almost cost me my life! He is a sole practicioner who believes that he is god sent and kept telling me trust me. He has no medical equiptment in the office so be prepared to run around for your own medical needs. MY Story: Well after having an unneeded amnio At St. Vincents , at 27 weeks I learned that I had dead baby inside me for almost a week. Dr Napoli then proceeds to tell me go home and I will FIND you a place to get it out tomorrow. Lucky for me I had a doctor next to me to said ""what is he crazy, go to the hospital"". I went to North shore and he said to go home. I could have died and he did even not care. Fevers, chllls. Its been over a month and still not a phone call. \r I Hate his attitude, he should be stripped of his licence. He is lucky I did follow him with a law suit. - He is NO Doctor in my book. Dr. Napoli is the best dr. if you are pregnant. He is thorough, keeps you stress free, and gets to the point fast. I have a four month old baby girl and Dr. Napoli's priority was keeping me healthy and calm and bringing the baby into the world safely. St. Vincent's is the best hospital. I will try to make this short. He has to be THE worst doctor. He is too easy going. I had complications at 31wks pregnant (bleeding) called him NO call back. His receptionist called me 24hrs later to see how I was doing but still no call from him. But the worst thing was going to North Shore Hospital that day not knowing what is going on with me and finding out this so called doctor lost all priveleges at North Shore Hospital. I immediatly called when I got out of hospital and told receptionist how unhappy I am that he never disussed this with me. BTW he only delivers at St. Vincent Hospital in the city. Bit of information he should have told me instead of leading me to believe he is still at NSH. Anyway, when I called to transfer my records (literally across the street) it took the office 2wks to send them over. He DID not test me for a certain blood disorder my husband has that is manditory. It just keep on getting worse with this man he should lose his license! I am on bed rest now because of more complications. He should have at least maned up and called me that day. Dr Napoli is an excellent doctor. He only has one exam room so you are not put on a patient assembly line and after your exam you go into his office and he speaks with you as long as you need. You are never rushed nor do you wait 2 to 3 hour in the waiting room for your appointment. I would recommend him to anyone who is pregnant Pros: very caring and knowledegable more

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Michael Napoli. If you are pregnant and using him you must switch immediately. I came to learn what he's all about during my pregrancy. He is uncaring, condescending and did not make the overall pregnancy exciting. He examines you in less than 3 minutes and your out of his office in a flash. Doesn't give you any info about the babies development unless you ask and then he cracks a joke or makes a wise, sarcastic comment. I can't believe a doctor like this is allowed to practice. He also led us to believe he would be delivering our baby at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset. On the day i went into labor we went directly to the hospital and learned that he lost privelages at North Hospital. He never told me that the only hospital he delivers at is Saint Vincents in Manhatten. Fortunately, I had a healthy baby and it was definately a blessing that Napoli didn't deliver. I heard horror stories about him from other former patients. He also is known for doing quick c-SECTIONS because its more accomodating to his schedule and more dinero in his pocket. I do not wish this awfull experience on any expecting mother. This is the most exciting time in your life so find a trustworthy, and caring ob/gyn. Good luck! My wife was under his care throughout her pregnancy. We used his services based on a friend's referral. On every prenatal visit, my wife complained that he never answered her questions and when he did it was in a sarcastic, and condescending manner. Instead of talking about the baby's development and my wife's health status he was much more concerned about the NY Giants Season. Throughout the pregnancy, we were led to believe that he would deliver our baby at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset (UNTRUE). Two weeks prior to my wife’s delivery, I asked him, ""What is the protocol, in the event that my wife goes into labor do we need to carry any documentation to North Shore hospital? He told us not to worry about it he would take care of all the paperwork. On the day of my wife’s labor, NO RECORDS at the hospital, NO DOCTOR NAPOLI, and we were informed that he lost his privileges at North Shore Hospital. Don’t just take my word on this…Please do your research on Dr. Napoli and contact North Shore Hospital to find out for yourself. Pros: Talks about the Giants at every visit. Cons: LIAR more

I would highly recommend Dr. napoli, I have 3 children am in my forties, and he is my third OB/GYN doctor, the first doctor I had no choice in changing, the second Dr, was very inconveniently located, when I was referred to Dr. Napoli, I was a little hesitant as I do not like change. After meeting him for the first time, I was very happy I made the choice I did. He is friendly, funny, and most of all knowledgeable. I asked him to read a report that my previous Dr. had read and I was quite happy with his response. He is thorough and has a great ""bedside manner"". I'VE BEEN GOING TO DR. NAPOLI FOR 12 AND A HALF YEARS AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO BECAUSE HE IS VERY FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, AND EXPERIENCED DOCTOR. I've been going to Dr. Napoli for about 2 years and was always happy with his service then but now that i'm pregnant and wanted to develop a better relationship with him as he will be the person delivering my child i find that he is not as social as i would like him to be. i feel that i'm in and out of there in less than 5 minutes you are almost afraid to ask any questions. \r \r He's not one of those dr's that you feel open to talk about the progress of your pregnancy and all the excitements as a new parent. i I guess thats just his style but if you want a caring and warm person i wouldnt recommend him especially for pregnancy. more

I completely disagree with the previous review. Although Dr. Napoli may not be as social as others but he is efficient, honest and direct. I dont feel at all that he is ruff. He was my doctor through my whole pregnancy, and now my primary OBGYN and I have not one complaint about him. I have gone through several OBGYN's and trust me I am picky. If you want someone that is not going to BS, tell you how it is, and let you know exactly what is going on, then I would def go to Dr. Napoli. Only go to Dr. Napoli if you are in dire need. Otherwise, there are bound to be more friendly doctors. Also, I went in for an infection, and he gave me an Rx for it, but I left his office with a yeast infection in tow. His fault? Maybe, maybe not, but his rough handling wasn't going to help anything.
