Love the food! The best food I've had in a long time. The service was a little slow. But I didn't mind.

I totally agree with every reviews on here that talk about the terrible service and rude awful manager. I've eaten at nakama a few times. It's either hit or miss. My time there is...

Best Sushi in Town 9/18/2006

I've been eating at Nakama since the first day the doors opened. It's the best sushi in Pittsburgh -- I've tried them all. Not only is the food great, but the service is terrific too! \r \r It's a great place to hang out and people watch. There's alway a crowd at Nakama --- they must be doing something right!! more

I love this place! Never a complaint when I go. Try the Sushi boat, it is to die for. The hibatchi is also great, but you need a take home box. more

What a great place for a group to eat! 9/18/2006

We recently were in a party of 35 that ate at Nakamas in there enclosed party room of the restaurant. The food was wonderful and the service was very efficient. I will definately be making plans to get more groups to go there for dinner and a night out! more

Good grub, spacious restaurant, great selection, and entertaining atmosphere. Not to mention the best happy hour around. This is truly the Burgh hot spot for hanging out, but the secret is definitely out. Nakama is no longer the secret on the South Side! more

I have eaten numerous times at this restaurant and absolutely loved the food. everything is served warm and fresh. Not only is the food good, but so are the drinks. The weekends are hectic though, so to get the most out of your experience, go at an off time more

Nakama is boasts a fun atmosphere, friendly, talented chefs and to-die-for tuna steak. The restaurant is great for dates or just going out with friends. Also, if you're interested in appetizers try the caterpillar roll- cute and tasty! more

Great place to go with friends..and eat well! 9/18/2006

My boyfriend and I went to Nakama with another couple of friends of ours. We made reservation and although we did have to wait a few minutes for our table, there was a magician there to entertain us and we just loved him! I had sushi for the first time and I loved it! But we also had a dinner prepared by the chef right in front of us and it was delicious! I can't wait to go back again. more

Nakama 9/18/2006

I have been to Nakama many times, with family, co-workers and friends. Every time I go there the service and food has been excellant!!! Stephanie the bartender takes very good care of all the customers in the bar area. I have also sat in the dining rooom and never have had a bad meal, server, or chef. It is a delicious dining experience. My boys 16 & 21 insist I bring them home take-out when I go with friends for a nice lunch. My favorite is the filet and shrimp- it just melts in your mouth. Whether you have you dinner cooked in front of you on the hibachi or in the kitchen, it is wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a different type of dining experience. Yum! Yum! Yum! more

Nakama is the best Hot spot in town to meet people and enjoy great dining!! The atmosphere is wonderful - the food superb - the location perfect - it really has it all!!! It is a must try for all Pittsburgher's and a great place to bring out of town visitors to showcase our great city!!! more

The Best Dining Esxperience in the Burgh! 9/18/2006

My wife and I have lived all across the country and love to dine out. When we moved back to Pittsburgh, one of the things we were most excited about was that we would be close to Nakama. This is always the first choice of our kids when we ask them were they want to go. The service is awesome, the food spectacular and the chef's performances are second to none! We'll be back this week for our wedding anniversary and can't wait for the best dining experience in the Burgh! more

Every time I go to Nakama, I enjoy it more and more each time. The food is awesome... I seem to always take some home, the portions are so big. The service is always spectacular and the ambiance is always inviting. Not only do I love eating there, I love drinking there too!! Thursday nights in Pittsburgh belong to NAKAMA!! more

Fun Atmosphere, Tasty Food 9/17/2006

Nakama, located in the SouthSide of the city isn't your ordinary Japanese Steak House. It is a bustling establishment every night of the week with a crowd covering every social and age spectrum showing that Nakama really does appeal to everyone. The food is excellant, the presentation is aweing, and the staff is courteous, even during the busiest times. Whether it is for an intimate meal with a loved one, or a large group get together, Nakama is sure to impress and I highly recommend it. more
