Nacmias & Sons Auto Sales Service & Collision

We've bought two vehicles from Nacmias and Sons Auto Repair. They're great there. They have an excellent selection of used cars, but you can also feel comfortable telling them what you want and they'll keep an eye out for it and find it for you. I first ended up at Nacmias and Sons Auto Repair kind of by accident. I was looking to get my oil changed, and the first place I went told me they were too busy so I continued on. I reached Nacmias and they took me in without any trouble or long wait, they changed my oil, looked at my tires etc. I immediately noticed how honest they were. These guys were completely straight up, which is difficult to find in mechanics. They were telling me things that were contrary to what I'd been told by other mechanics, who always seemed eager to sell me stuff I didn't need. I was so impressed with how I was treated, that I continued to go there. I haven't been disappointed since! I even just recently purchased a used car from Jack and he totally guaranteed it, and let me know that if I experienced any trouble or issues, he'd take care of it no problem. Everything has continued to run very smoothly. The service there is always fast and efficient and unbelievably good. They are so easy to work with and just a really nice group of people. They are fast and efficient and always manage to get me in and out and on my way, which is how it should be. They are reasonable and offer competitive prices. I came upon Nacmias and Sons Auto & Collision Repair in Denis Hamill's column. He was highlighting some of the most honest businesses in Brooklyn, and he mentioned Jack. I actually started using them over the garage I had used for years. My first experience with them was when I brought him a car with a persistent problem. I told him about my experience with the other garage, about how they had never been able to really fix it. He found that it was a really simple problem, and he didn't charge me for the repair. That brought me on as a regular customer. I have been using him for a little more than 2 years, and Nacmias and Sons' prices are very fair. The service is impeccable. I have never had a reoccurring problem after he has fixed something, unlike other garages. They are comprehensive, thorough, and unusually friendly. Unlike other places I have gone they do not treat me like a money-making machine. I am not just a customer at Jack Nacmias' shop, I am treated like a friend. more

I went to Nacmias and Sons Sunoco to get my car inspected because the place I had been going to was lying to me. It was very sad because I had been going there for 15 years, and my father had been going for 20 years, and we thought we could trust them. At the beginning of summer I needed my air conditioning fixed in my car, and I liked the person who fixed it. At the end of the summer, when I needed an inspection, I went back to the air conditioner place and asked them where they would recommend. He said Jack. Even though it was 25 miles away and there are hundreds of places in between me and Nacmias I decided to trust the recommendation. He was really busy, and I had to wait to be seen, but they did the whole inspection. Of course my car didn't pass because the place before wasn't actually doing anything but was just charging me as if they were. Nacmias and Sons was very professional. They had print outs of exactly what I needed. I had a lot of things that had to be done, and Jack told me how to avoid getting another ticket at the toll booth. He was really helpful navigating all the things that had to get done. I really liked him. I wish he was closer, but I will keep going there. I feel like I can trust Jack. He was recommended to me by someone who had their own reputation at stake, and I felt that it was a good way to do things. There are so many places that will take their customers to the cleaners. The things that were done to my car were expensive, but he was very careful to explain what he needed to do and to do exactly that. I was satisfied. I think it was worth going there. The check engine light is still on because they didn't reset it, but that was because they were rushing at the end so that I could go to work. more

They are reliable, courteous, and they know their business. I use Nacmias and Sons Auto as do my parents, my daughters, and my mother-in-law. It has been a long-standing relationship. They understand how we each use our cars and the maintenance they require. My mother-in-law bought a car through Jack, and she only drives maybe 700 miles a years. Jack understands that she wanted a car she could feel secure in, and he got her a car that suits her needs. We have bought cars from them, they service our cars, and when we buy a used car, we have them check it out. They are great. more

I have been with Nacmias and Sons for a couple of years and Jack is very reliable. The service is always very prompt, the people are courteous, and the quality is good. My latest encounter with Nacmias was very recent. I got stuck in Long Island and I had to have my car towed to their shop last night. Already this morning, they have established what is wrong with it and they called to ask if I wanted to proceed with the repair. They gave me a cost estimate. They identified other problems as well, and made suggestions like changing the battery. And, they gave me a price that I think is reasonable. Overall, I rate Sons Auto & Collision Repair a 5 because they are prompt, they do good work, and I am very happy with the service. I have a been around for a while, and I have gone to other repair shops. My time is very important to me, and if I can find a place that is prompt and reliable, all the better. Izu Marcovici more
