Nabih's has been in my home town for over thirty years. They might have a booming business by now if the owner were a decent person. Alas. Every time I've decided to forgive Nabih's for the last time, they never cease to dissappoint me by being total jerks. My first experience with them was when the internet was fairly new, and Apple was offering a free patch for a problem I was having. I went to Nabih's and they wanted to charge me $10 for the free file. I then went to Northwestern's computing center and they downloaded it for me for free. My next experience was when I had a Mac 5300 laptop and I needed a SCSI connector to plug into it.\r
Nabih went in the back of the store and came out with a regular SCSI cable which had a *huge* connector and would obviously not fit in the back of the laptop. Nabih told me to bring in the laptop (he didn't have that model)....and that I ""had a little knowledge, which is a dangerous thing."" [For a WOMAN, in *his* view, I guess]. I stayed away for a long time and then needed a short cable which I bought and then discovered I didn't need. I never opened the packaging and I had the receipt. Nabih would not take it back. He asked me if I had ever shopped there before. I said I had. He looked up my name in the computer and because I had never bought a whole system from him (as he explained to me) I was not in his computer and therefore he would not take the cable back from me.\r
I help several people with their Mac. Other folks have had even worse experiences than mine.\r
I would NEVER recommend Nabih's.
Pros: They have Apple's great products. So do other folks.
Cons: Ambience, Parking, Service
