Horrific experience gettingG4 serviced. My Mac has been freezing up under OS X and tried everything under the sun to figure out why. Basically I took into Nabih's, an ""authorized"" Apple reseller and repair place. I was told that they would run a diagnostic to see where the hardward problem was, since I knew it wasn't the software. Instead of running the diagnostic, the less-than-forthcoming repair person spent an hour and a half trying to reinstall OS X, which I informed him wasn't the problem, only to tell me that OS x wasn't the problem. That cost me $120 for absolutely nothing. I complained very politely to Nabih himself about what I needed, and he basically told me that if I knew so much, perhaps I should come and pick up my Mac. And he would only accept cash. He refused to listen to what I needed as a customer.
