I purchased a huge amount of carpet from this company almost 3 years ago. It has not worn well even though there are only 2 of us in the house and it is vacuumed often and shampooed. No animals. I called the owner before it was 3 years old and he said that it would not be covered in the warranty. I recently had another room carpeted from a different company and the owner who saw it told me that it was unusual for this carpet to look this way after only 2+ years. I am extremely happy with the carpet from the second company. I would never go back to Marathas. It took several phone calls before he called me back and was just truly uncaring about the condition of the carpet and unwilling to do anything, including come look at it. Now I just have to live with this carpet until I can afford to do it all over again. My previous carpet lasted and looked great for 25 years! more

The owner and his staff could not have been better. It was easy to look through samples and take them home. The installers were friendly, clean, and professional. They were on time, finished on schedule and did a great job. Two weeks after installation of my new carpet, it was destroyed by a my boiler. The owner couldn't have been better, he was my first call. He put me in touch with a carpet cleaner, who was excellent. He helped throughout the insurance process and installed another new rug immediately. I couldn't recommend them more highly, and I am not prone to recommendations for businesses, but they truly deserve it. more

Between myself, immediate family, and friends- have used for 17 rooms. Easy to work with, easy to schedule, do thorough work, good pricing. Will always do business here when carpet is needed. more

I carpeted an entire house using Marathas Carpeting last year. Not only did they have a very nice selection, but the owner came out quickly to measure, product was in within 2 weeks, and I had an outstanding experience with their installer. My installer came back 2 weeks later to finish around two thresholds that he couldn't install on the first day because my tile floors were not completed. He was courteous, clean and pleasant. I have since recommended them to several people, all who have been very pleased. Pros: great service and selection Cons: not as many full size samples as some stores more

I don't suggest referring to Berkov's comment, there must be more too it. My husband and I had our living room done 1 year ago, we get a lot of traffic in my living room, so I really wanted a durable carpet. I was pleased with the finishing result and we plan to return for our downstairs basement in a few weeks. \r The customer service was outstanding. We actually needed my husband's work desk moved last minute, and the installers were extremely curtious and more than helpful. The owner came out to measure my living room and was very honest about the style/type of carpet to choose( he came on the scheduled date). When I went into the carpet place to schedule a visit to my house, I was surprised when he was completely willing to work around my schedule and not his own.\r The carpet has been down for 1 year or so and it looks like it was installed yesterday. I get compliments left and right and it is very pleasing. \r To put a negative review on this website is ludicris and a waste of time, but I could not restrain myself from writing a response after seeing a false negative one. I do suggest buying a carpet from NJ Marathas Carpeting! I don't really know how to work this website, but If I could color in those review stars I would, without hesistation, color in 5 out of 5. I am sure there are a countless number of other customers of theirs that would feel the same way. more

We initially had decent experience and decided to go back to order additional carpeting. The installation guys arrived 4.5hrs late, no phone call, no apology. Just a ""do you want it done or not"". They ended up destroying the house. Dents in the walls not only in the room but all along the hallway. Worst quality I have seen. Radiators were all banged up. \r \r And for a finally, they dropped the shop vac at the top of the our stairs and watched it plummet downstairs. Dust and filth everywhere and my floors are all dinged up. \r \r We called them half a dozen times and they never bothered to have the courtesy to respond to any messages. Cons: Zero service more
