Terrible experience 4/15/2007

Great Lunch! 4/3/2007

Four of us went to lunch at Mythos since it's close to work and we had a wonderful first experience. Our appetizers were served quickly, two spreads with pita bread - feta and roasted red pepper and goat cheese and fig, both were delicious. All but one of us ordered one of their many lunch specials which were large in portion size and the best lunch I've had in a while. Specials we ordered that day were rainbow trout with kalamata olives in a cabernet sauce over rice pilaf, grilled chicken rubbed with greek spices, shrimp and andouille sausage. The server was courteous and attentive. If you are able to get more than an hour for lunch I would highly recommend this restaurant. Shocking view 3/28/2007

We dined last weekend, cute atmosphere, menu design really goofy, appetizer was good but left after observing the chef, a large man, literally sweating on and over the plates as they left the kitchen. It's too bad because the place had promise. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Health standards more

Great food, fresh and prepared beautifully. Varied European wines...all good...so far! Excellent service, friendly staff and owner! Restaurant is decorated nice and is clean! Even the bathrooms are clean. more

Great food and service in Cary! Finally! 3/14/2007

We have been waiting forever for a restaurant to open on the South side of Cary for the longest time. Finally, Mythos is conveniently located for those of use near Crossroads and Waverly Place/Lochmere. The service is excellent and you can tell they take pride in their restaurant. The food is extremely good and very well presented. If you are tired of the chains or family Italian restaurants in Cary, then this is the place for you. A great option for dinner! more

Best Restaurant in the Triangle...HANDS DOWN! 2/27/2007

If you haven't been fortunate enough to dine at this unbelievable bistro, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!!! My wife and I often support new restaurants in the area, but we have found a jem! The food is divine, the presentation is beyond words, and the service is spectacular. The bistro has a family-owned feel that made us feel like we were enjoying a five-star meal in the company of friends and family. We loved their selection of Greek and Mediterranean wine, which complemented our meal perfectly, by the way! My wife had one of their signature seafood dishes while I devoured the slow roasted lamb shank...WOW! Our family has found a new favorite restaurant right down the road. Do yourself a favor and try this new Cary staple! more

Great new addition to Cary, NC restaurant scene. We had several friend recommend Mythos and we tried it just the other night. It was great. The server was attentive without being obvious and the food was tasty and interesting. The hostess staff was friendly. Would dine there again anytime! more

My Husband Took Me To Mythos Bistro Valentine`s Day The Food Was Amazing And The Service Was Perfect. The Flowers That Thay Were Geving Out Made It Extra Special &Romantic. A great new place to dine in 2/9/2007

We live close to Mythos and have seen several restaurants come and go at the location. But Mythos is here to stay! We tried Mythos for lunch on a Saturday. I was a little apprehensive going in because of the location's history of failures, but we were in for a treat. The chef cooked a special vegetarian dish for my friend. I had Salmon over spinach. Both dishes were excellent. \r The service was helpful and friendly. The server suggested a wine that was very good. My kids also liked the place and the meal was a good value.\r I just wish it wasn't so close to my house :-) Pros: Good food, excellent service, good location, ample parking, easy access to highways Cons: none that I can think of; may be that there is no carpet on the floor more

Lamb is divine for dinner, spinach appetizer at lunch and dinner are fantastic, service warm and welcoming, staff well trained, atmosphere wonderful 1/24/2007

I've had dinner and lunch with Chef Pete and am a solid fan of the atmosphere, food quality, service of the staff, and menu choices. The lamb shank is just fantastic, the luncheon salmon and spinach appetizer is just as good as I have had anywhere in the country. We are so fortunate to have another choice of ethnic food and Chef Pete and his brother are warm and courteous hosts. Business lunches, romantic dinners, or a quick appetizer before a movie - it is all wonderful. Ask about the Greek version of Port wine - the word nectar comes to mind...... Pros: Great location, plenty of parking, really well trained staff, takes all major credit cards, warm and welcoming atmospere Cons: So many people will find out about this little gem they'll have to start taking reservations. Don't wait - get in early ! more

We were in for a treat!!!! 1/22/2007

My boyfriend and I came by for the first time not knowing what to expect. We were sure in for a treat!!! We sat at the bar and had some cocktails before dinner. From the bar you have an excellent view of the open kitchen. Just watching Chef Pete and his well-trained crew prepare all these dishes is an experience that you will never forget! Each plate is a piece of art! The hostess sat us at a nice, cozy candelight table. The ambience is incredible. We started with a nice bottle of wine and the Mythos shrimp appetizer. I had the Mahi Mahi with the smoked Salmon and my boyfriend had the Fideoguada (our server described it as a paella dish). Our dinners were outstanding! Our service was outstanding! Mythos will be put on the top of our list and we will highly recommend it to all of our friends. more

Great lunch spot 1/18/2007

Recently a few of my co-workers and I visited Mythos Bistro for lunch. The location and service were excellent, not to mention the food was outstanding as well. It was close to the office, only took a short time for everything to be prepared, and the watier made sure we enjoyed everything in the little amount of time we had. Now I have been to a couple places for lunch, but Mythos is surely a winner in my book. They even have amazing specials at lunch time. I am surely recommending this place to everyone in my office building as well as just about everyone I know! Pros: Quick Service, Great Lunch Specials more

Exceptional Experience 1/17/2007

My wife and I ate at Mythos Bistro Saturday night and fell in the love with the place. The food and ambience are top notch as well as their service. The server suggested the sweetbreads and they were out of this world. For dinner I had the black grouper special and my wife had the aged Filet Mignon, and a outstanding bottle of Greek wine. Exciting menu, tasty food 1/4/2007

If you are looking to get away from the ""typical"" fare offered by most restaurants, then this is the place. The chef obviously has a good feel for which flavors go together and ""excite the palate"". I'd never experienced an ouzo and citrous broth before, but It really brought out the flavor of the mussels, and the steaks just melt in your mouth. Throw in an attractive setting and friendly, efficient wait staff, and this is one place we'll definitely make a regular on our ""places to eat"" list.
