Took my Elle for the first time to any Pet Resort, left for one day and night in their ""Villa"" section. Her shots were all up to date. When I arrived, I commented to the wet dog odor, the minute I stepped in from outside. As if going to a nursing home and smelling urine as you walked thru the door. The environment, they try to portray, need to do something about that. Well since Elle is home for a couple of days, noticed breathing problem, took her to her vet. The first thing he asked as he listened to her breath, ""Over the holiday, has she been boarded?"" I said yes, well he tells me she has a viral infection, and is now on medication for 10 days. So my experience with this Pet Resort, leaves a lot to be desired. So beware, not as sanitized as they say, as Elle was not exposed to other dogs during her stay, as her outings were done alone, so I was told and asked for. Elle is a healthy 12 lb dog. So be careful.
