Musashi Japanese Cuisine

So i came here twice. 1st time we decided we want sushi and wanted something close to home. The waitresses are pretty inattentive, the food took forever to come out, and they forgot my bowl of rice that i ordered but still put it on my bill. When I told the waitress your charging me for rice I never got she gave an annoyed look but did fix it. 2nd time around. I decided I want to come here because a particular roll that I liked last time. So we asked to be seated in the patio area which they didn't seem to like for some weird reason. Whatever : . So we order..........and wait.........and wait..........oh here comes the edamame, but with no soy sauce??? Who does that??? So we asked for soy sauce and spicy mayo...Oh here she comes again with the bowl of rice before any of the entrees and before the soup??? Heres comes my Miso soup and ew the tofu is cold in the middle how nasty, like if tofu isn't nasty enough. So the entrees come out were eating. I ordered a thinly cut tuna sashimi with eel sauce (wasn't bad). But yet again they forget the order and forgot to bring out the very roll that made me wanted to come back in the first place. We remind her after were almost done with all the food, and she says ""oh, its coming""...20 mins later it came. I went in and asked if i could have eel sauce for my sushi. she replied its ""$1.50 for eel sauce and do you want anything else from the kitchen? Because were closed."" Pretty annoyed because no where on their menu does it say that its $1.50 for eel sauce and she already gave me some for my sashimi I replied ""I just want eel sauce"". She brings out a small dish of eel sauce and I'm like ""This is $1.50?"" she said ""Yes all eel sauce is $1.50 if you don't buy eel!"" but wait I tell her ""I've been here before and haven't been charged for eel sauce"" she said ""Well they should of charged you give me the name of the server that didnt charge you last time so I can fire her!!""...so the check comes and I'm charged twice for eel sauce once for the spicy mayo and also for chili sauce that the server brought accident instead of the spicy mayo. The server came to give me the bill and apologized and said she understands me and I'm absolutely right and thats just how her boss is. F$%K THIS PLACE. THEY ALWAYS FORGET YOUR FOOD AND DECIDE TO CHARGE YOU FOR SH%T YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR. ITS LIKE MCDONALDS CHARGING YOU FOR KETCHUP more

This is a great place for Sushi! I havent not tried anything else on the menu but if its as good as the sushi...you cant go wrong! more

The food here is good, not great, very ordinary (didn't have the sushi, just teppan). The chef did not do much to entertain at all accept flip an egg and make a volcano (they all do that). I've seen much more entertaining teppan chefs. I asked about the teryaki steak that used to be on the menu, the waitress said to ask the chef for some teryaki sauce. There were two people (kids) having steak and the other kid wanted some too. They brought two bowls of sauce. That was considered a side order and we were charged $3 for two ""side orders"" of which we used about a tablespoon full. We were asked if we wanted fried rice or steamed rice to go along with our meal (the least expensive of which was $20 the most, $32) no mention of the $2.50 extra charge per bowl. We told the hostess that it was the little girl's birthday and she said they had tempura ice cream. They brought one to the table and sang happy birthday when our dinner was finished. Then they charged us $5.50 for the dessert we didn't order. When I confronted the manager about the extra charges for the sauce and the dessert (forget the rice) he agreed with me about the dessert, but told he told me the sauce was on the menu as a side order. I said, ""We have a $250 bill and you are going to charge me $3 extra for sauce!"" He didn't care. Then the waitress came and told us they were still charging us for the dessert because she told us about it and we said ""OK"". I have never been charged by a restaurant that sends you a dessert to thank you for celebrating your birthday at their restaurant. Well, ok, we will never go back there again. They can take their sauce and dessert and you know what with them. There are other better teppan restaurants in town and they would appreciate our business. Oh, for their great service they gave themselves an 18% tip! It could have been 20% if they had just told us about all the extra charges! Musashi is a great place for parties. The sushi is good, the chefs do cool tricks, plus you can get hot saki and go for the bomb! Never had a reservations problem. Pros: Good food, chefs tricks Cons: pricey more

Very good food, more than most places like it, but the reservation's process is a joke, it's really first come first serve, unless you have a party of 10+ people. Don't order the sides of sauce for an extra charge. Pros: Food, Presentation, Location Cons: Reservations, Management more

Their management is rude and non caring, their seating process is discusting and they don't care if people come back or not. I had a horrible experience with them and will never return. I had never been to Musashi's prior to yesterday... I am sorry to say that I will not go back. If you decide to go you should be aware that they charge $2.50 extra per person if you would like fried rice instead of steamed rice. I discussed this with the manager, and she insisted that this was good business practice. I don't believe it is. What do you think??? more

I love the food, but their reservations line isn't the best.You need to leave a msg requesting reservations & you don't get a confirmation, just show up & hope they got your msg. Pros: Good food, Fast service Cons: Crowded, Reservations more

I usually go here as much as I can with my kids. They love the chefs on the grills and they usually will do extra tricks if you have kids at the table. The food is out of this world and the sushi bar is a favorite of mine. Pros: Chefs, Location, Food more

This place really got it right. The sushi is wonderful, the sushi chefs are fun and friendly, and they make great creations! This location is better all around at everything! You won't be dissapointed if you eat here. I've never tried their Teppanyaki grill but I hear it's excellent A+++++! more
