Multistate Transmission

This was my first time using Multistate Transmissions Livonia since they came under new ownership and overall I was very pleased with the service. All of the work was done properly, and they were quick and fast. The only issue that I had was they didn't do a final check on the transmission before they returned my car and the transmission fluid level was low. This isn't a big issue but still it was a little nuisance. However, I don't have any reservations about returning to them and I would still recommend them, as their prices are really low and reasonable. more

This was the second time I've worked with Multistate Transmissions. The first time must have been about twelve years ago. Recently, I brought in my '04 Focus because the clutch master cylinder was leaking. The staff was excellent. I brought my vehicle in, they took a look at the issue, and performed the service I was looking for. It was a great experience. more

Multistate Transmissions did a full transmission rebuild for my son-in-law. Overall, we were pleased with their service. There were a few issues regarding the warranty, but I'll get into that later. Laura quoted me a price, and informed me that they might run into some additional costs depending on how the rebuild went. They were able to find a torque converter with a lower price, which I appreciated. As far as the warranty went, I have the ability and the resources to pull a transmission out myself, so I did that and gave them the transmission to do a bench repair. This lowered the price of the service substantially, but, they were only able to give us a six month limited warranty, instead of the full year, because I installed the transmission myself. I mean if it works for six months, then it will work for a year, so that isn't much of a hassle. Other than that, the customer service was great. I would recommend their service. more

Multistate Transmissions Livonia is wonderful! I moved here to Michigan from Virginia a while ago and my car transmission went out while I was adjusting. I looked in the yellow pages and that is when I found Multistate Transmissions Livonia. It costed me $2100 to get the transmission fixed, but the service was worth it. The staff is very friendly and they do a wonderful job with repair work. more

I had a very good experience with Multistate Transmission Livonia. They were able to get my transmission done within two weeks, and the total came out to about the same price that they had quoted uprfront. My last experience getting my transmission done took twice the amount of time for much more money, so my experience with Multistate was pretty refreshing. Carl, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating, and the receptionist was also very pleasant and kept me up to date as the work was being done. I would highly recommend their service! more

They did a really good job at Multistate Transmission in Livonia. They replaced my transmission, and did a very good job. I was checking everywhere for low prices. Their prices were low, so I dropped my car off there. So far, everything is okay. The transmission is good. I would probably use them again. more

I took a chance by going to Mulitstate Transmission in Livonia, but unfortunately it didn't pay off for me. I needed my transfer case replaced, and instructed them to go ahead and replace it with a used one, which they did. Another shop discovered that the part was leaking, so I took it back to Multistate. Basically, they told me that's the risk I took by buying a used part. They also told me that they don't guarantee parts so it was going to cost me an additional $250 to get it removed and replaced. In the end, with all the money I had spent, I could have purchased a brand new part with warranties somewhere else. more
