Never Any Problems 9/27/2013

I am shocked to see reviews that the ladies on the front desk are rude. We have been taking our pets here for years and have never had this issue. In fact the opposite has been true. The ladies seem to always remember us as well as our pets and have greeted us warmly whenever we are there. The Drs. We have had dealings with have been Dr. Bittner Dr. Herlugson and Dr. Ladewig all have been outstanding taking time to answer any concerns we may have. They have always called to follow up after any visit that wasn't just a wellness check. In fact I would not even consider taking our pets anywhere else. more

Awful. Stay Away!! 4/27/2013

They were so rude, all of them. They ALL need to go to classes on how to deal with the public.\r \r They made many rude/unnecessary comments, and we always felt like we were taking up their time. They didnt have any troubles taking our money however!\r \r We gave them 3 chances and they were all the same. Awful. more

RUDE, OVERPRICED, UNHAPPY PLACE TO VISIT 2/27/2013

The front desk staff is disorganized, RUDE, and they don't like to admit when they are wrong. I've been a customer for 11 years and will be leaving to go to a different veterinary practice 10 miles away. I'm tired of the lack of customer service, disrespectful tone from the front desk staff, and overall UNHAPPINESS that they exude from the moment I walk in the door. If only the veterinarians would realize they are losing lots of $$ when the customers feel they are a burden to the women at the desk. As a professional myself, it is recommended that these women receive some customer service training and be reminded that without us they would NOT have a job. Lastly, they have no problem charging fees for EVERYTHING!! SInce they don't accept walk-ins (even though they have appointments available), the customer is charged $85 (instead of $15) for an EMERGENCY visit. None of these fees are shared with the customer until the bill is printed out and presented at the end of the appointmen more

Very interesting that people are saying what we have senn the last 6 months with Mukwonago, our dog has been to the emergency vet twice and they don't have any records or don't even call to check up. I did call when they wanted to put her on some meds and the person that answered the phone said to bad we did not see the dog so have them give you the meds....WOW 25 years of going to them and this is what a long time person gets...We are in the process of looking for anouther vet to handle my dog, oh by the way when you spend a lot you don't get a lot. We spent a lot on our dog and she is wonderful maybe you should learn from the pets that you see...... more

If I could give this rating negative 6/9/2012

If I could give this rating negative stars, I would. NEVER take your pets here!!! We took our dog after thinking she had a slight fever. After tests and HUNDREDS of dollars, we were told she is in a good bill of health and there is absolutely nothing to worry about . Ignoring our concerns and having our dog for 15 years we know when something isn t right. Obviously, you would think that you could trust that a veterinary clinic who claims they are simply the best would recognize when an animal is not well. Ignoring our pleas to double check her, they sent us on our way and 30 minutes later we were burying our dog. She was perfectly fine and we had nothing to worry about Our response from the receptionist when we called wanting an explanation? well, it s looks like your dog was sicker than you thought? Huh? Compassion, customer service, knowledge, skill, and down right common sense is something that this place clearly doesn t have. If you are thinking of going here, let me tell you how devastating it is to hold your dog you were told is completely fine die in your arms without any explanation whatsoever. Do not go here!!!!!!!! more

Highly Recommend: I have had the pleasure of taking my pets to Mukwonago Animal Hospital for over four years. One of my dogs, an english staffy, was extremely ill with an auto immune disease. The compassion that all staff members provided me and my dog during this difficult time was amazing. I regularly received phone calls with results on lab work. I also received calls inquiring for updates on my pet's health. Eventually we lost my dog and we received a very nice letter in the mail from the staff. To this day the staff still remembers my Staffy that I lost over a year ago; it warms my heart that they remember him and makes the loss a little easier. I recommend this location to all my friends and I specifically recommend Dr Tom Herlugson as he has been my main Vet at this clinic. However, over the years I believe that I have met with all of them and received great service with each of them. The front desk staff has also been very helpful to me and they always greet me with a smile and professionalism. I have never posted on any website before, but I felt compelled to after reading the previous post that was given. more

Caring & compassionate Vets!! 2/10/2011

Our experiences with the all the vets at Mukwonago Animal Hospital have been extremely positive. They are, by far, the most caring and compassionate animal doctors we have ever known. We feel good about the care our dogs get at this facility and our dogs seem comfortable with lower stress levels than past vet visits. I read the other comments and have never found the receptionists or office staff to be anything but friendly. A few of them acknowledge our dogs when we arrive and inquire about their overall well-being. Based on our great experience, we recommended Mukwonago Animal Hospital to family and friends and they, too, are very pleased with the service and care of their pets. more

Great animal hospital 2/3/2011

We have been seeing Dr. Ladwig for a long time and wouldn't go anywhere else. I've always found the office staff friendly and pleasant. Any negative reviews I've read here don't match with my experiences and there have been many. All the vets have been very caring, extremely competent and very helpful when tough decisions need to be made. I would recommend them without question. more

Fantastic Vets! 8/13/2010

We have taken our cats and dogs to Mukwonago Animal Hospital for many years. Started off with Dr. Ladewig, who I found to be one of the most compassionate vets I've ever work with. We've also seen the other vets at the clinic, and they are all great. They are very gentle with the pets, and take the time to let them get comfortable. Dr. Ladewig did ACL surgery on our siberian husky for less than half the price we would have paid for a specialist. Very successful outcome. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. more

UNFRIENDLY RECEPTIONISTS AND OFFICE MANAGER 8/4/2010

The office manager must give her receptionists lessons on being rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. What a bunch of miserable women!!! The owner needs to fire ALL these misfits and hire polite people that can actually smile!! Don't waste your money at this place. Go to the Bayview Vet Clinic!! The Vet is great and the staff is FRIENDLY!!!! more

Knowledgeable/Compassionate/Reasonable 7/24/2010

All of the doctors at Mukwonago Animal Hospital have been excellent, over the past 3 years, I have never been disappointed. They provide options for solving my cat's health problems, and then they let me choose the option that will work for my family. I've been very impressed with Drs. Sherrod and Herrlugson, who were willing to act on the treatment my pet needed when the doctor at another vet clinic in town was moving too slowly, leaving my cat with discomfort. more

Mukwonago Animal Hospital 10/4/2009

With recommendation I took my two Yorkies to Mukwonago Animal Hospital. It is a beautiful building, but I was not at all impressed with the service. The lobby was dirty and there were two piles of poop on the floor. The receptionists were yakking back and forth and hardly bothered to acknowledge me or my dogs. The vet was nice and knowledgeable, but no one acted like they "Liked" my dogs..and I , of course, love them. I now go to Bay View Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Schoenborn, Dr. Allyson and Dr. Gina are great! Everyone there is friendly and courteous. Lobby is clean and smells good. GREAT VET EXPERIENCE! at Bay View! more

Dr. Ladewig & Dr. Herlugson are World Class Vets! 7/22/2009

We started with Dr. Ladewig back at his first office by the Elegant Farmer and never looked back. He has always had time to explain everything to us, and given us options. But, when you ask him what would you do, he always would help with the decision you were comfortable with, whether it was surgery, tests, medication or the ultimate decision. With the addition of Dr. Herlugson, we had an appointment with him on a Saturday. I was so impressed, our beloved golden retriever had suffered a stroke and he was so caring and concerned about us as well. When we got our second golden we started seeing Dr. Herlugson on a regular basis and have had a great 15 year relationship. One great feature that these caring vets do, is that they will come to the house and put your family pet down. making it much easier than coming to the clinic and having to carry them home.\r Unfortunately our relationship has come to an end, but if anyone new to the area is looking for a great bunch of people and vets Muk more

Dr. Sherrod is the BEST!!! 3/12/2009

When we first moved to the Mukwonago area and got our first pup, I took her to Bay View Vet for her first check-up. I'll admit, I didn't do any research of area vets and was sorely disappointed by the negative experience at Bay View Vet. The straw that finally broke the camel's back was seeing another month of "spagetti" (worms), coming out of her butt and Bay View refusing to test for a negative fecal. They were more than happy to do the test at Mukwonago Animal Hospital for me, even though it wasn't my vet at the time...and I haven't looked back. 4 pets later and we're still going strong. My babies LOVE going to see Dr. Sherrod...she TRULY is the BEST!!! more

Caring and Compassionate 5/26/2008

On 5/22/08 we rushed our beloved 9 year old cat to Mukwonago Animal Hospital. New to the area, we had not chosen a new animal hospital and on that day, our cat was in very bad shape. They took us in and did all they could to save her. Unfortunately she had a lethal cancer we didn't know about. Their caring and compassion helped us get through a difficult time. The prices were reasonable. We found our new vet! more

Great place to take animals. They are very reasonable and caring. They have great boarding and grooming services. If you want your pet pampered and happy when you return from a trip this is the place to take them. more

Great vet for your animal 11/14/2005

We have used this vet for our dog. It has very nice doctors and staff. You can tell they really love animals. The prices are a bit higher than others but the service and convience of the hours they offer for appointments as well as the caring they provide are worth it. more
