I just wanted to let you know that I registered with Motus Recruiting & Staffing and was put to work within 2 days!

Worst

I am a potential recruit for Motus and have been in accounting for over 15 years. Thus far I have driven to Lake Oswego for an interview, listened to how overwhelmed the recruiter...

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/14/2013

I'm normally not one to go writing reviews of recruiting firms, but after having registered with a half a dozen in the Portland area, this one stood out... In a bad way.\r \r Recently, I updated my monster account and received the usual series of calls including one from MOTUS. A quick search through my email account and I find I registered with MOTUS over 2 years ago, applied to positions on their websites with not a call, interview, nothing.\r \r While I'm on the phone with the certainly very nice and polite young lady, I go ahead and look up the website again. There were plenty of jobs that fit my qualifications both in accounting and technology.\r \r Then she mentions a data entry position which is like saying our client will interview you, determine you are overqualified (even if you were interested) and dismiss this submission off hand... It was apparent to me that MOTUS does not review their potential (or current) candidates before calling, let alone their own alleged ""availabilities"". \r \r I hope that their free-time at 2PM and this review reminds them not to the time of those people who are working hard to find a job; Especially when they're apparently not willing to do theirs.\r \r P.S. I will confirm with the person below that this was a ""Nike"" position and was also given the Nike pitch as was the reviewer before me. more

If you are reading this, you were probably contacted by Motus regarding a job. They probably told you that they ""don't do cattle calls"" and only bring candidates in if they have a job that matches your qualifications. Lies # 1 & 2. \r Maybe you are unemployed and a little bit desperate, I've been there. So you go for an ""interview"" and they ask you the usual interview questions. They blow smoke up your a** about the companies they work with and how they just got x# of jobs to fill today (WOW!). You believe them because, well, you are desperate and their office is pretty nice. Lies # 3 & 4.\r Your ""interview"" ends with the ""recruiter"" telling you that they'll be in touch, and they'll send you available jobs. Lies # 5 & 6.\r You don't hear anything, so you call. Nothing. You email. Nothing. You call again and are sent right to voice mail. Or the ""recruiter"" is always unavailable (convenient!).\r You are told that their number one company is Nike. That Nike keeps them really busy. I am doubtful that they even recruit for Nike. Or anyone for that matter.\r \r In short, my ""tip"" would be:\r Don't waste your time. Use the 45-60 minutes you'd waste in an ""interview"" searching for real jobs. more

Amazing Recruiting Experience! 3/22/2011

I got registered with Motus a few months ago, and was extremely impressed by the professional way that I was treated. From the moment that I walked through the front doors, to actually being presented with an offer I felt that I had received a very high level of customer service. Motus helped me find an amazing opportunity, that I wouldn't have found on my own. I just can't thank everyone enough for all of the hard work they did on my behalf. I will refer all of my friends and family without hesitation! more

Somewhat new recruit experience 6/1/2010

I am a potential recruit for Motus and have been in accounting for over 15 years. Thus far I have driven to Lake Oswego for an interview, listened to how overwhelmed the recruiters are and been sent away after being told that they will be in contact. Next day I get the online testing links via email and I took the tests. I called the next day and mysteriously couldn't get through all day. Perhaps I didn't do well on the tests, who knows. I will update this review after a few days, but I am getting the feeling that I am being ignored. Cons: dismissive, non-communicative more

One long, bad contracting experience 2/1/2010

I can only say how much I regret ever becoming a recruit for Motus. In 15 years of providing contract work, Motus is easily the worst recruiter I've been affiliated with. Although I required assistance only a handful of times during the year+ I was one of their contractors, each time I needed Motus, their response was continually dismissive, unresponsive, and accompanied by excuses. Cons: Invisible, unresponsive, flaky more
