The service call today on my A/C was unsatisfactory. The Bryant 113A/116A is two years old. We(everyone involved) learned for the first time that it requires a non-standard, size 16x21 filter. The furnace coils were damaged by two years of return air not being properly filtered. Since the unit was installed more commonly available 16x20 filters have been installed. We discovered that these undersize filters collapse up against the coils without effectively filtering.
Today Jay cleaned the damaged coils ($200 charge). He did not replace the ineffective filter. He did not have a correct filter on hand. Actually he did not know the correct size filter to use. His phone calls to Morgan indicated others involved also did not know. Jay and I then used spacers to help hold the smaller fiilter in place properly. No success. I then shopped at Lowe,s and Home Depot for 16x21 filters. I was told this special size is only available for the "dealer"
n summary, your service was unsatisfactory. The problem still exists.
To solve the problem caused by your poor service I now request the following:
1) provide me a supply of proper filters
2) come back and install a proper filter, and test to assure it is working properly.
3) Refund my $200 payment for cleaning the coils.
Please respond soon. Thanks, Joe King
