Moodz Spa Salon Boutique

First time visit and relatively disappointed. For the $, I've definitely experienced better! I had a pedicure scheduled. I had Carmen and she was nice enough. Upon check-in, I inquired about a shelac manicure. I was told there was no availability until later that afternoon and then quickly told that I could be done right after my pedicure. As much as I appreciated being "fit in" I DID NOT get a manicure but instead a polish and that would be it! I was charged a full $40 for a manicure that I never received. When I went to take my watch off, I was told that I could keep it on. First sign of things wrong..... I don't get manicures often, but I'm not dumb enough to not know that a manicure comes complete with soaking of hands, exfoliation, lotion, and massage! Fine if you can't fit that all in, but don't charge me FULL PRICE for something for a service that I did not receive! When I inquired about this upon checking out, it was extremely uncomfortable and I felt the staff was very unprofessional. The receptionist checked w/ the woman that did my manicure and was quickly told that it costs $40, and that was the end of it. I left there spending $90 total for what??? During my pedicure, I was seated next to the hamper which was full of post pedicure towels and also flung past me as the others needed to discard the towels. DISGUSTING!!! God knows how many dead skin cells were flung all over the place right next to my purse on the floor and myself. more

The massage therapists are excellent and the reception staff is always professional. more

I just love every person that works there they are so nice and so accomadating, They always squeeze me in at the last minite if need be and they are just Wonderful. more

I love Moodz. I've been going there for years, and I always feel valued, welcome, pampered, and happy when I've been there. My stylist is the best for my hair, totally understands what I want and need. The facials are amazing, and their natural nail services are great. They even have the new "14-day manicure," and it really lasts 14 days. more

Moodz is my favorite place to go when I want to be around great people and have great services! I come out looking fabulous everytime I leave! The hair stylists are top notch and you can really tell when you walk in the door how much they love their jobs! The esthetics staff is GREAT! They are SO knowledgable and the peels are great! I love getting the Moodz Signature facial because you get an awesome foot and scalp massage AND a mask! OH! AND DID I MENTION HOW AWESOME THEIR PRODUCTS ARE!? You can ask any of the staff members for a recommendation for a new skin or hair product! THe massage therapists at moodz give massages like i've never had before! THey have every massage from prenatal to relaxation, to theraputic! Everytime you get a massage the therapists tailor the massage to your specific needs! I love the package they have where you can buy 6 massages and get teh 7th for free...its such an awesome deal! Who doesnt want a free massage? Nail services are great at well the staff definately earns an A+. I love the nail staff because htey are ALL so great and super friendly! Its not like you sit in silance across a table for 45 minutes while some stranger does your nails like some places. All the nail techs are super talkative and soo nice and polite! I really really recommend Moodz Day Spa to anyone who wants to be pampered! Moodz ROCKS! :) more

I so look forward to my trip to Moodz. Every service offered is top notch and a great place to go feel pampered. As a busy mom it is nice to slow down and feel cared for. Did I mention THE BEST front desk people? When I think of Moodz, I feel this...Special, pampered, happy, & calm. UNDERSTOOD. . I've moved away from both Acton, and Wayland, and I keep going back. I can't think of a more skilled & compassionate group of professionals. I have tried just about every treat they have- excellent and 1st class. I can't say enough nice things here- did I mention the boutique? Jewelry? Cosmetics? Go see! You'll love them! Thanks to all! Moodz is such a wonderful salon! I have been going there for years. Also had them do my hair and make up for my wedding day and they did a fantastic job. Also had facials and a brow waxing done there, again, great job. I highly recommend Moodz to my friends and family. more

I have been going to Moodz Day Spa for years.. the reason is the way they treat me,and my hair.. I love my hair , and I want it to look good..it is stunning . I get compliments all the time. Silky and Shinny. Its because of the great cuts and the high quality colors, and the talented girls who know how to apply it. I understand they get good training.. . I always feel good when I leave there no matter what state i am in when i go in..and I definetly look better. My husband is very pleased..the more I get to know the girls there.. I love them. they are always very nice to me. they offer coffee or tea or a treat..nice music. its warm and cozy. .its a great place to spend time.. I highly recommend this place.. I moved to the area about 6 years ago and had to find a new spa to have all of my maintenance done. I tried Moodz and I wouldn?t think about going anywhere else!! I have tried probably about every service they offer and never have been disappointed. The hair salon is always clean, bright and cheerful. I have tried probably all of the hairstylists and I have never been disappointed. They always listen to what I want done to my hair and it always looks spectacular. The spa is very tranquil with soothing music playing. The facials and massages are the best! I love signature facial, it is the best of both worlds, lots of massage and a facial, doesn?t get much better than that!! The nail area is always very clean with almost too many colors to pick from! I wouldn?t dream of going anywhere else for my services! Pros: Staff very friendly and warm, beautiful salon, very clean Cons: NONE more

I got the worst haircut I ever had was at Moodz! My hair was butchered. The hairdresser was talking to a coworker the entire time she was cutting my hair and hardly even looked at me. She did whatever she wanted to do instead of listening to what I wanted. She even used a shaver on me to thin my hair after I told her that it makes my hair look like I have split ends. I'll never go back! Especially after having to sit in that chair for almost an hour, listening to everyone gossip about other clients and how my hairdresser's life is so miserable. If you're that miserable, quit! Pros: none Cons: unskilled staff, hairdressers don't listen to clients, staff gossips constantly, hair clippings all over floor more

I was recently in Moodz Day Spa in Acton with a friend of mine. My friend was having her nails and toes done as well as some other things....Her nail Tech who went by the name Rhonda became very comfortable and talkative with us which was nice. Until she began tell us that she was a liscened to do Esthetics but that that was it. She actually was in a way complaining that everytime she comes in she is "Stuck" doing the mani's and pedi's and she's not even licensed to do them!! I was shocked and immediately cancelled my appointment for the following day. It is very disapointint that such a wonderful company would hire someone to do a job that she clearly doesn't like nor is certified but also her unprofessional mannor was what upset me the most.....I don't recomend this spa to anyone unless they don't mind people who openly cliam to not knowing that they do..................... After a horrible experience a few years ago with my hair, I was extremely reluctant to get my hair cut and took to trimming it myself. But a friend recommended Moodz, so I decided to check it out. As soon as I stepped inside, i realized that I was going to have a good experience. The atmosphere was fresh, sunny and modern, and the whole place had a sparkling clean vibe to it. I wasn't positive on what cut I wanted for my hair, but my hairdresser was super nice. She helped me pick out a cut that suited my face shape. Then she shampooed and conditioned my hair into silkiness. During the whole cut, she asked me friendly questions and made me feel relaxed. At the end, she made my hair look spectacular. When i went back to work everybody was complimenting my hair, and saying how amazing it looked. I would recommend Moodz to everybody! However, their Boutique isn't very good, the person working their was rude to me and the items for sale weren't that good. I had the most delightful experience at Moodz. I was totally relaxed and pampered, what a spa experience should be. I had the collagen facial and it felt out of this world! My skin looked so fresh and dewy for days later. My visit to Moodz was about 6 weeks ago and I felt the need to write a review after a lousy experience at a day spa in a neighboring town. I am looking foward to returning for another facial and trying the body treatments. Just heavenly. Pros: High level of quality, lots of choices, delightful atmosphere more
