Simply the best 5/28/2002

Best beer, best ambience, best food (especially the moules frites!)--simply the best bar in Philly. The only real drawback--and it is a rather big one--is the crowd. The space is small, and they don't take reservations; if you arrive after six or six thirty (any night of the week), count on at least a 45 minute, if not a full hour, wait for a table. And don't count on getting a seat at the bar in the meantime--the two bars only seat about six or eight people each, and they're packed even before the tables. If you don't want to fight the crowd, go for lunch. Then it's utterly charming and headache-less. more
