The barely warm (tray pizza) that showed up at my house on Super Bowl Sunday was squished, banged around, and slapped together like a five year old had ridden a big-wheel over it! And that was just the box! The box was kinked in the middle, had a wet sagging underside, and stained my shirt as I stumbled into the house trying not to let it flop out of the soggy box and on to my carpet. I looked back towards the door, and the delivery guy was gone. Maybe watching three people have to hurry the box in the house before it completely failed, was more than he could handle. My two brothers and I, said "Well, it IS a super bowl day". Thus forgiving the pitiful condition of the box and getting ready to dive into the life of the party, THE PIZZA! Upon opening the box, people gasped at the sight of dry crust 4" in from the edges, all the way around it. And pepperoni thrown carelessly across only one half of it. It was cut crooked and except for 3 pieces folded under themselves, the pizza was not cut all the way through. The dough was half baked and almost wet inside! My gracious wife attempted to take it and put it in the oven to finish what we paid generously for, and expected Molinaro's to do in the first place. Our guests were outwardly shocked at the condition of the pizza and recommended we return it for a refund after the game. We subsequently ordered from a more respectable local pizzeria, and was very satisfied with their delivery and product. After the game my wife was furious and spoke with the manager over there. She told him that she was bringing it back for a refund. He said "No, we'll give you a credit for another one". She seemed to be okay with this solution, and the next day ordered that pizza. It came to the house in worse condition than the first. This time it had black soot like ashes all over the bottom, bonded in a thick black disgusting mat. The entire top of the box was crushed into the cheese, removing it all upon opening the lid. A lot of people are sick of this carelessness at premium prices!
