Modern Famliy Vision

Ive been going to Modern Family Vision for several years. The staff has always been friendly and they greet you as though they see you every day instead if yearly. I love the way they make you feel like a member of the family. The other day I got a piece of metal in my eye sharpening my lawnmower blade. I called them and they said come in right now. I went in and the office was very busy but they worked me in. I GOT TO SEE THE DOCTOR IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES! Imagine how long I would have had to wait at the ER! Thanks Modern Family Vision.. more

I came to MFV this past Saturday and my eye was very red. As soon as I walked in they took me back and treated my eye. I was shocked and very please they were able to see me so fast. They figured out my insurance and only charged me a $30 co-pay. They did all this for me and I walked in 30 minutes before they were to close. I will be coming back for my regular exam. The doctor we normally see, Mary E. Leazure, O.D., is very nice. \r However, the office manager Kim is terrible, and we are leaving them to another vision care provider just because of her. \r She lied to us several times. She promised to submit insurance claim and never did. She canceled appointment because our son was 9 minute late, although in the past several occasions we waited close to an hour or more, without complaining. \r She is also very rude, when you point the shortcomings. \r \r more

I can not thank you Modern Family Vision and Kim enough for suggesting that I try Digital Lenses for my eyeglasses. I was a little reluctant at first and hesitant to upgrade to digital lenses. My first thought was that I wear my contact lens most of the time and I did not think the difference, if any, would really matter or even be noticeable on those few occasions when I would wear my eyeglasses. Now I am sold! First, thanks to you and your staff for helping me to select a fabulous pair of frames. The color is great for my skin and I have a little bit of bling to set off the look. I have received several compliments on them. Second, I wore the new glasses with the digital frames for the first time on a Sunday after I had taken my contact lens out for my weekly cleaning. Usually whenever I would wear my regular eyeglasses, I could not wait to put my contact lens back in before the day has ended. Not true with my new glasses and digital lenses! I can wear these for days without even thinking about my contact lens. I find the vision to be as crisp as I have with my contact lens and far better than the regular eyeglasses. I especially thought that in the outdoors I would have the usual glare problem that I would have with my regular glasses, but even the glare seems to be reduced when looking out of my digital lenses. Third, my eyes always seemed to water and bother me causing me to continually rub my eyes, take the glasses on and off, etc, after wearing my regular eyeglasses for several hours. I do not have that problem with the digital lens. I am not sure what this means, but I take it as another reason to put down the regular lens and stick with the digital ones. Finally, Modern Family Vision you made me a believer. I would not go back to regular lenses. The difference in price is definitely worth it. I love, love, love my digital lens eyeglasses! more

What a great staff I HATE picking out frames but the ENTIRE staff at Modern Family Vision was so helpful. They have the biggest selection of frame ANYWHERE, they showed me some frames that were 59.00 and some that were 700.00 the ones I picked were 289.00 and they gave me an extra 50.00 on top of my insurance allowance of 120.00 so I got 180.00 off plus the 20% my VSP gives me so the frames cost me 87.00 and I just picked them last week and I LOVE THEM I have already got 3 compliments and i never got compliments before. I probably would not have stepped outside the box and picked these but I am so glad the staff was so helpful AND by the way I had so much fun there as well. Cliff is the main one who helped me and convienced me to try something bolder. I love this place I have never had so much fun on a doctor appointment I reccommend EVERYONE to try this place out you will have a great time and get the perfect frame. more

body \r I woke up Saturday morning and my eye was very red and painful I called my regular eye doctor in Allen and they told me they were booked and suggested I go to the ER. So I called around and got Modern Family Vision on the phone they seemed VERY concerned and told me to come in right now. I did and when I walked in the office was FULL of people it was NEVER this busy at my other doctor’s office. I am not sure how they could see me and my other doctors office couldn’t. Anyway I did have to wait about 30 minutes but then I was seen, the doctor apologized for the wait REALLY you worked me in I am just thank full I didn’t have to wait in an ER for 6 hours. I got great care by the doctor and the staff was so caring and concerned. I have found my new eye doctor I will never go back to my old doctor. The care I received at my old eye doctor was pretty good but they were not there for me when I needed them. \r \r \r more

I was looking for some glasses. I found the ones I LOVED. They ordered them for me. I find out they are in limited addition. The Offce Manager, Kim I think is her name, searched the entire US for this frame and found it. Got it to me with the best lenses I could ever hope for. I LOVE MY GLASSES. How many people can say that?!?!!?!? This is the definition of customer service! I came there as a referal from a friend, Now I see why. It is very clear they care about thier clients as people, not just a dollar. I cant wait to come back next year to get new ones. Thank you so much for your care and diligence. more

I went to Modern Family Vision a couple of days ago when I woke up with a painful red eye. I called Modern Family Vision where I have gotten my eye exam before. They told me come in right away and that Dr. Castro would work me in. They also told me that the visit would be covered by my medical insurance and I only had to pay my copay. Dr. Castro checked my eye and told me I had an eye infection. She explained things where I could understand and gave me a sample of antibiotic. After 2 days on the antibiotic, my eye looks and feels much better! more

I had a very good experience with the team at Modern Family Vision. They helped me choose suitable glasses and gave me their honest opinion, giving me options for inexpensive glasses to more expensive. I asked the right questions, such as how much they would cost before I bought them and what I should expect after the purchase. My vist with Dr. Castro was friendly and talked to me about my eyesight and what kind of lense I will need. I prefer a Dr. telling me axactly where I stand, in this case, my eyesight and tell me if my eyes are bad or not. Ask the right questions and be friendly customers. You will get better service anywhere you go! more

A couple of weeks ago, I was in serious need of an eye doctor immediately. Some how I had scratched my eye over the weekend and was not sure what to do. Modern Family Vision helped me so much. I have a 1 year old that can be a large handful at times. The girls at the front desk kept his attention while I was in with the doctor. I have never felt so thankful for a doctors staff. They were truly life savers that day. more

Just had exams for the whole family at modern family vision. the staff was absolutely amazing. they were so nice to my family and I. They gave us all their attention in making our visit a good one. The doctors are so nice and really good! I recommend this office for everybody! more

My wife's eye was scratchy and we decided to walk in so that a doctor could take a look. Dr Castro and the staff were very friendly, helpful and down to earth. Didn't feel like just another customer passing through. Everything was explained in plain and clear English. Within hours my wife's eye was feeling much better. more

My son recently had to get glasses and we chose Modern Family Vision right here in Allen. The Dr was wonderful with my son and us, explained in great detail that we could understand and was very thorough with her exam. They offer a special for children for the eye testing and their prices on glasses are very good. I felt as though we where in good hands more

I was very unhappy with my previous eye doctor and I decided to give Modern Family Vision a try. I am so glad I did. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The lobby and exam rooms are modern and relaxing. I can't say enough about Dr. Castro. She explained everything to me in detail and in a way that I can understand. I felt very comfortable with her and she listened to the problems that I have been having with my current prescriptions. I have been seeing eye doctors since childhood and I am so happy to find an eye doctor I like. I was diagnosed with a nasty eye allergy so I was unable to get a prescription for glasses and contacts today but I can't wait to go back next week and pick out my glasses and get my contacts. more
