*This review is actually not pertaining to Dr Sanderson. No other names of Vets listed so I had to post under this heading*\r \r What a difference in service & cost since my good previous vists of 7 years ago! Took my pet in the other day to be diagnosed since he was ill. Charged $350 for 1 hour of services (some of which not were authorized), Also, all 5 employees (inc Dr Schoolmeester) which were in contact with my pet lacked in proper ""septic technique' . Not 1 person used the sink in the room to wash with & soap water before touching the pet. One tech even put a BARE UNWASHED finger over an injection site WITH BLOOD PRESENT! How much do disposal gloves, soap & water cost? Certainly they can afford it (not to mention being careful about spreading disease between patients). After questioning this, the explanation was ""we wash our hands before coming into the room"" BS! The door knob & otther items in the room are touched frequently & harbour bacteria. No excuse, poor education! \r \r My pet's condition rapidly degraded later that day & was in crying in pain that evening around 6pm. I tried in vane to reach someone & left a message for DR Schoolmeester to call me 1st thing in the morning. \r \r We ended up taking our pet to a Emergency Clinic (excellent caring service there) later that evening to be euthanized. What a terrible 24 hours. Never heard from Stonecrest. So 1 1/2 days later, I called to ask why they did not return my call & was told ""because we were aware you had taken you pet to the emergency clinic & knew the outcome"". So what!? Would have been nice to at least hear from the vet!\r \r I will never take my other pets there since it seems money is the prime goal of this place & it lacks proper sanitation methods in my opinion..\r \r March 11, 2011\r more

BAD VETS -VERY BAD 12/6/2008

This clinic should have zero stars or negative numbers for stars. All four of the veterinarians work in conjunction with Petland and other pet stores that get pets from puppy mills. They will misdiagnose your pet to save the store money (the two have an agreement with each other stores send people to their vet which gets them money then they misdiagnose the pet to save for the store). It's a win-win for the stores but a LOSS for you and your pet, and in some cases I have known this to be fatal. Do not take your pet here, they are not a reputable veterinarian clinic. Pros: Nothing, because your pet is not going to get adeuate treatment Cons: Everything from physically harming your pet onsite due to roughness from techs, to fatal injuries/diseases going misdiagnosed more

Satisfied doggy Mom 8/13/2008

I am very picky when it comes to my vets. I am new in town and have 2 little dogs that are the love of my life. One in particular has some special health issues. Although I have only visited this place once to see the vet, I have visited several times to pick up my dogs special food. All times the staff/assistants have been extremely helpful and nice. My visit to the vet was also very positive. Because I have dealth with my dogs issue for years I am pretty educated as to his problem. The vet was incouraging without sugar coating the problem. I will definitly go back.....for now anyway. Pros: very nice and accomadating, fair prices Cons: haven't found any yet more

Nice vet, rude staff. 8/12/2006

This vet was recommended to us when we bought our puppy at 6 weeks and the first visit was great-the staff was caring and did a thorough job examining her. They even gave us medication to clear up the upper respiratory infection that she had. When we returned for her second round of shots, however, not only was the staff unnecessarily rough with the puppy, they were also condescending and insulting to us. When they took her to the back, they attempted to perform procedures that they had not informed us they were going to do and as we heard her cry from the back, the tech returned to say that our 3-month-old, 10 pound beagle was ""the most vicious and worst behaved dog ever"" and ""the staff was afraid for their lives."" We have since changed animal hospitals and although the new one is more expensive and further away from our home, we would rather pay more drive further simply to know that our animals will be cared for properly and compassionately. While we did like the vet himself, his staff was rude and ill-equipped to deal with animals. Pros: Kind caring vet, clean and well maintained clinic. Cons: Rude staff, bad communication. more

Great Veterinary Clinic 5/11/2006

I have been to this clinic numerous times and the vets and staff are great. They care about my dog and have always been helpful. Most of my pet owning friends go there alos and they all think as I do. Pros: Friendly, Caring, Great Vets more

When I took my 2 month old puppy here I was given the absolute wrong medication to treat his illness. The medicine I was given had nothing to do with his condition at all. I was very displeased by this. Its the veterinarians job to help you animal, not to act ignorant. I took my dog to another vet and they were very appalled that I was given this medication. If you see that your pet is not getting any better on the medication given, please go ask for a second opinion. more
