WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE 2/23/2011

We just got back from a month long vacation, much needed. Honestly we expected to get back to a sad dog that hated us for leaving him behind. However when we picked him up, he ran out to the lobby, said hello mom, hello dad and ran right behind the counter tail wagging and smiling, when i say he was smiling i mean he literally smiles. He didn't want to go home, he wanted to stay with his new friends it was such a relief. After getting him to the car and back home it was like we had never left. I will recommend Miss Kittys to anyone that loves their dog. priced right, good atmosphere, great people, and obviously loving hearts. more

me and my golden walk out of those red doors happy as they come every time we go there. They just started boarding large dogs and not just little yappy ones lol. I've known of them and have heard nothing but great things about miss kittys but were never allowed to use their services because ol' marvin was too big for their specifications. At Dog days at centenial park this year we saw they had a sign advertising the new large dog section of the business. We were and still are ecstatic. since then we have found out what all the great talk was actually about. at first we thought the price was a little high, but they are what they call "all inclusive" so they dont have any other charges tacked on. personally i believe that if you are gonna call yourself all inclusive then I should be getting a free groom while Marvin is staying for a week ;) more

one of a kind 2/22/2011

Miss kittys is really the best place I have ever used. I have used several dog resorts in Nashville a well as California, this is by far the best one! Staff makes you feel comfortable, the owner is a veterinarian from what I understand, the management team seem very informed of any issues (I have never had any but I did witness a psycho customer of theirs). \r Short version, tried them all... They are the best in town, no doubt. more

Milana's favorite place 1/21/2011

My little Milana has been going to miss kitty's for 4 years and she absolutely loves it there. On our way out of the house I always say "Miss Kittyyyy's" and she goes NUTS!! She knows exactly when we get off the exit too. She runs in the door every time and goes right down the hall to greet the staff lol. The staff by the way are great, they are very knowledgeable and friendly. \r We use miss kittys whenever we go out of town (which is a lot because my husband and I own commercial property in FL) and have never had any issues, as I've had with other establishments in Nashville. \r The place is clean, never smells like a dog facility, the management team is incredible, their grooming rocks, I would recommend this place to anyone who spoils their dogs. \r LOOOOOOVEE ITTTTT!!!!!!!!! more

HAPPY CLIENT OF 16 YEARS 1/21/2011

Miss Kitty's is THE BEST! I have been going to kitty's for over 16 years. I have had/have several dogs over the past years and they all love miss kitty's. They do an amazing job at grooming. One time in 16 years I was unsatisfied with my groom, I addressed the problem to the manager and I was not only given a sincere apology, but I was also given 10% off my next groom and received a package in the mail for little Norton with treats, cookies and a stuffed toy. Needless to say we were happy : ) They have even used my Norfolk Terrier in national grooming competitions and won. The boarding and daycare are very clean as well. The employees are super friendly, and let me tell you, if they lack anything... they make it up in personality. We love the staff, love the set up, love the one on one attention (its not like walking into a walmart), it is obvious that they hire nothing but dog lovers, and we love them back! love Norton the Norfolk and his caring dad more

Google loves Miss Kitty's 3/25/2009

My dog loves Miss Kitty's. We always use Miss Kitty's to board him whenever we go somewhere. He gets excited whenever we drive up; he knows exactly where he is. Sometimes I'll get him groomed there, and he comes back looking like an amazing little show dog (he is not a show dog). I love that they have nice, spacious rooms for the dogs to stay in and they let them out to play several times a day when they board. He always seems happy, and pretty darn tired, when we pick him up. Pros: It smells really good more

Best dog hotel in TN 1/12/2009

I take my 4 year old border terrier to Miss Kitty's daycare at least 3 times a week. It's great because they have certain package deals and Toby just loves to be there. He has made many friends in daycare because of the unique social structure. After work I pick him up and he has had such a great time that the next day we come he's very excited to be there. Miss Kitty's has amazingly cute cookies that Toby adores - some of which are homeade. And the cute clothing is to die for. Pros: I never have to worry about my pet; good customer service Cons: A little pricy, but worth it more

He always comes out looking like a new, beautiful dog. Their seven-day guarantee on the groom is nice as well. Toby also takes meds when he boards and the Miss Kitty's staff is always sure he gets them. He is taken out 5 times a day everyday and has a nice spacy room. At bed time he is also given a good night cookie. The front desk employes are sweet and will help me with anything I need whether I want to say goodbye to Toby or I need help getting all of his stuff out the door. Great Place to Board your pets 9/23/2008

I have used Miss Kitty's once or twice for boarding. Very nice layout; friendly staff. The dogs get their own room with a nice bed and you can bring their own stuff from home. They are outside a lot and the staff is very playful with them. Have had my dogs groomed there, also, They do a pretty good job. My dogs enjoyed it. more

Great Place to Board Your Dog! 8/22/2008

I have boarded my dog at Miss Kitty's many times over the last few years, and I would highly recommend them! They give you a full tour of the place and show you were your dog will be. Each dog gets a very nice sized run with a dutch door that you can see over. The dogs are exercised out in the yard several times a day. They have different areas for different size dogs, so your little dog won't be next to a big dog. The dogs really can't see each other in the run next to them, but still it's nice they think to separate them by size. \r \r Miss Kitty's also sells pet stuff, and they have quite a nice selection of stuff, but it's a bit high priced. They have some nice treats that they sell too.\r \r I did use one of their groomers once to groom my Cairn, but that didn't go well. I had asked if she knew how to hand strip, and she said she did, but it's apparent she did not. I got my Cairn back with a SKIRT! If you need your dog hand stripped, you might want to find somewhere else. more

WARNING: Miss Kittys Bed & Bath/Horrible experience 5/12/2008

I have taken my 2 poodles to Ms Kittys for the past 7 yrs primarily for regular grooming as well as occasional boarding. Honestly I do not know what has happened to that place, at one time it was a superior pet service entity but that has changed and what's worse, no one seems to care. One of my poodles has a health issue, a collapsing trachea - & I only request 1 particular groomer, always. Last week's grooming visit was a nightmare & we almost lost our beloved pet. I was given a pick up time, & was on time, however upon arrival, I was in complete shock at the condition of my pet. He was gasping for air, non responsive to me, and in complete distress. I viewed this as a life threatening situation. No one called me to relay his condition earlier that day, they just said "he's been like this for a while & we've tried to calm him down." I rushed my pet to the vet's office for ER care, and in fact his gums were already turning blue from lack of oxygen by the time we arrived. He was in complete & total distress, so I'm not sure what happened that day, I cannot get anyone to communicate anything other than "we don't know." One concern is what if he were there for boarding? Would they not have had the common sense then to get him help or call me for direction? My vet agreed at his follow up visit today, he would have expired had I not gotten him to the vet for ER care when I did. Now, Ms Kittys claims to have a vet tech on staff so where is this person? When I called after the fact, to inquire, they said she is only part time. Even though any fool working with dogs should have seen my pet was in severe angst and suffering, a potential life threatening situation, I know a credible vet tech would have immediately known he needed oxygen. And that is another question why don't they have anything as simple as a tank of oxygen in case of a pet collapse or respiratory stress until ER help can be sought? I WILL NOT be patronizing Ms Kittys in the future for my beloved pet Cons: The manager is not in tune with the needs of small dogs & a couple of the front office staff are rude. more

They traumatized my dog and injured her in the process and didn't care!!! 2/11/2008

They traumatized my dog and injured her in the process and didn't care!!! 2/11/2008

Whatever you do - stay away!! We went to get our nails clipped over the weekend & Rita the groomer tried to pick up Rowan (a 90 lb mastiff puppy) by her head using the gentle leader and drag her across the store. Rowan was terrified & resisted & I asked Rita 4 times to let go of my dog b/c she obviously wasn't ready for this. I explained that she was a recent rescue and skittish by nature. Rita told me that she knew what she was doing & again tried to pull Rowan against her will!! This time, Rowan flopped over in total protest & Rita pushed her into the counter to get her to submit. My dog now has a bruised goose egg on her side courtesy of the groomer that "knows what she is doing!!" Rowan scratched the heck out of Rita's arm (deservedly so) in order to get away & I demanded for the 5th time that she release my dog!!! Her scream from the scratch coupled with a lobby of other customers & the chaos scared Rowan even further & Rita ran to the back cussing about my dog. Another employee came out & told me that I would do better taking her to a vet to be sedated. I told her we'd do better with a decent groomer!! (Remember this is only her 2nd time to ever goto Miss Kitty's - she didn't love the 1st time but it went very smoothly b/c she had a groomer that had a clue!!) Rita obviously does NOT know what she is doing. I called the manager today to let him know our experience. He acted like it was no big deal - I was appalled!! I think it is a HUGE deal if this is how one of your employees treats your customers (canine or human!!) He showed absolutely no remorse for the fact that my dog was injured as a result of his irresponsible employee!! There are plenty of other great kennels/ grooming facilities in town to be wasting your money on this one!! STAY AWAY if you don't want your dog to get injured!!!! Try Happy ReTales in Brentwood or Hilltop Pet Resort in Mt. Juliet Pros: They have cute cookies Cons: The cookies are overpriced, Rita the groomer is clueless & they could care less if they injure your dog!! more

Miss Kitty's Lost Our Dog 11/28/2007

I would like to report a tragic incident regarding our beloved Italian Greyhound, Buckley. The week of August 3rd, 2007 we left him at Miss Kitty's Bed and Bath. We continued to an area south of Atlanta for vacation. The first morning of our trip I called to check on our baby and Miss Kitty's told me that Buckley had gotten away. Since I had only one missed call the previous evening from the kennel, I was shocked no one tried to contact more than one time in over 15 hours to inform me my pet was missing. Ever since Buckley's disappearance, the kennel has done little to help bring back our pet. They did have an advertisement on a local new website stating the reward WE were offering and pictures of Buckley. Included in this advertisement for the return of our dog is a fabrication of the events surrounding Buckley's disappearance, essentially leaving out the plain fact that Buckley was in Miss Kitty's care when he disappeared. Also, Miss Kitty's included a larger than life emblem of their business with contact info and directions. To me, this is despicable. If Miss Kitty's felt any shame or remorse regarding this situation, they would not have the audacity to use this horrible event to advertise their business. There was overwhelming heat that week and Buckley was fragile. We feel Miss Kitty's mistakes and inadequacies in the critical moments of this incident were unacceptable. When you board or kennel anyone's pets at any price you must be responsible and attentive for their safety and well-being. Miss Kitty's is frequented by those in the country music industry (someone in this field recommended Miss Kitty's to me) and they have autographed photos of other "stars" who are clients in their lobby. I believe this story regarding kennel safety and responsibility would be of utmost importance and interest to those of us with beloved pets in the Nashville area. Please protect your pet. Miss Kitty?s is not the place to leave them. Pros: They don't lose everyone's dog. Cons: They lost our dog and may lose yours. more

The Hilton of doggie hotels 1/13/2007

Our pugs love to go to Miss Kitty's, and I don't ever have to worry about their care when they're staying there. The folks at Miss Kitty's group the dogs by size and temperament into different wings of the building, and the animals are never let outside without human supervision. The rooms (kennels) are clean, and they don't mind if you bring the dog's own bedding from home. One of our little pugs needs a lot of medications throughout the day, and I'm confident that he receives his meds on schedule while he's at Miss Kitty's. The people there really seem to love the dogs. One other thing: I believe they only board small dogs (I'm not sure of the weight limit), so double-check to be sure. Pros: Clean, caring environment Cons: A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Well worth it! more
