Review content:
I have taken my 2 poodles to Ms Kittys for the past 7 yrs primarily for regular grooming as well as occasional boarding. Honestly I do not know what has happened to that place, at one time it was a superior pet service entity but that has changed and what's worse, no one seems to care. One of my poodles has a health issue, a collapsing trachea - & I only request 1 particular groomer, always. Last week's grooming visit was a nightmare & we almost lost our beloved pet. I was given a pick up time, & was on time, however upon arrival, I was in complete shock at the condition of my pet. He was gasping for air, non responsive to me, and in complete distress. I viewed this as a life threatening situation. No one called me to relay his condition earlier that day, they just said "he's been like this for a while & we've tried to calm him down." I rushed my pet to the vet's office for ER care, and in fact his gums were already turning blue from lack of oxygen by the time we arrived. He was in complete & total distress, so I'm not sure what happened that day, I cannot get anyone to communicate anything other than "we don't know." One concern is what if he were there for boarding? Would they not have had the common sense then to get him help or call me for direction? My vet agreed at his follow up visit today, he would have expired had I not gotten him to the vet for ER care when I did. Now, Ms Kittys claims to have a vet tech on staff so where is this person? When I called after the fact, to inquire, they said she is only part time. Even though any fool working with dogs should have seen my pet was in severe angst and suffering, a potential life threatening situation, I know a credible vet tech would have immediately known he needed oxygen. And that is another question why don't they have anything as simple as a tank of oxygen in case of a pet collapse or respiratory stress until ER help can be sought? I WILL NOT be patronizing Ms Kittys in the future for my beloved pet
Cons: The manager is not in tune with the needs of small dogs & a couple of the front office staff are rude.
