Best

Dr. Taylor is a talented veterinarian. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He's treated the rabbits under my care for over four years now, and I highly recommend him.

Worst

Recently I moved from an expensive, big East Coast City where we had a great vet for many years. When I needed to have work done on my dog I easily got an appt. here. The staff at...

Do not go! 6/30/2010

I had a very bad experience at this vet. I had heard that Dr Taylor was good with small pets. What I found out was he is good at trying to not give you answers while extracting more money out of you before commiting to any answer. I brought in our sick pet. I explained his illness and he did a 5 minute exam in which he said she "seems fine". If she were fine I would not have brought her in. She had not eaten and was not going to the bathroom. I felt she had a possible bladder infection. \r He told me to find out if she did I would need to spend 315 dollars more to get a better idea. I understand that it may need further tests, but I also asked if maybe they could find out any other way first. I brought in her fecal samples like they asked. He did not even look at them and they went into the trash when leaving. I am so glad I took the time to collect them like the front desk ask for his to disregard it. \r 100 dollars later and a possible $315 to go I was no better off than when I walked more

Miramonte Veterinary Hospital is EXPENSIVE 11/25/2009

Very Expensive, nice people. Went in for the start of a hot spot on my dog. $477.00 LATER we left. Ok Vet, but a greater salesman. They want to send an estement for a tooth cleaning, know I?ll not take them up on that. Stay away unless you have more money than GOD. more

AVOID THIS PLACE 1/30/2008

This place, in my personal experience, is terrible. We have been taking our dog here for awhile and for regular check-ups and shots, this place is tolerable. Overpriced, but tolerable. However, if your pet has any problems, surgeries, teeth cleaning, minor or major injuries, etc. avoid this place. Our dog had a slow growing tumor on her leg which Doctor Fan (who is the only reason why I can see anyone would go to this clinic) did a removal of her tumor a few weeks ago. Surgery went well, but it is what came afterwards that made us change vets immediately. First they bandage her leg up so much that she could barely walk. Then they over-prescribed her antibiotic medicine by 3 times the normal dosage. Our new vet noticed this and said that this could cause severe kidney problems in our dog. Secondly, they wanted us to come in every 2 days for a bandage change. This was fine with me since I wanted the best for our dog, but when doctor Fan wasn't there, Doctor Taylor did the bandaging and h more

Wouldn't Know What to Expect 10/31/2007

Recently I moved from an expensive, big East Coast City where we had a great vet for many years. When I needed to have work done on my dog I easily got an appt. here. The staff at the front desk were lovely. However, even though the\r clinical staff had my dogs records and could see the dog had operations in the past with pins in parts of the body, when it was time for the dog to be taken to the back room, out comes this woman who doesn't say a word to me-doesn't even look me in the eyes. Middle aged and chubby. I asked her to be careful lifting the dog because the dog had pins in the legs. She didn't say a word to me. Just bent over, put the dog's charts in her mouth and lifted the dog like a sack of flour. I was horrified. Being the spouse of a doctor, I have been allowed in the back rooms of vet offices before, and I can handle them. I asked to be allowed, but no one even paid attention to me. I knew if I were with my dog, the dog would be calmer and fine. The next thing I heard afte more

Thank You Dr. Taylor! 4/14/2007

Thank you for taking care of my baby, Anna. She had lumps on her back and would not eat. I had gone to many vet hospitals before and I was about to give up when I heard from my friend about Miramonte Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Taylor figured out what was wrong and perscriped a course of treatment that worked. Anna is eating well now and the lumps have disappeared leaving a shiny coat. more

Competent and Caring 3/19/2007

Dr. Kenton Taylor has been the veterinarian for all five of my cats. He has broad competence. For example, he was able to do an echocardiogram of my cat Janer, something that is usually performed only by a specialist. And he cares very much. I remember one Easter Sunday he came in to his clinic to help me with a pet emergency! Dr. Taylor communicates important detail clearly. This is especially valuable because I can be quite stressed-out when any of my cats are not well. I have confidence that I'm making the right decision for my pet, in partnership with Dr. Taylor. And when I recommend him to friends with pets, I tell them "He's the best." more

Dr. Taylor is a Good Vet, but 8/25/2006

Dr. Taylor is a good vet, but he needs to call back for followup after test results are in, surgeries are completed, etc instead of his staff who do not have much expertise. In the past his staff were not very competent, bored looking or just plain rude. People working under him needs better training and customer service skills. \r \r Often I feel like I'm going around in aa circle dealing with his practice. more

Miramonte Vet hospital 5/12/2006

I took my friend's dogs here while the friend was away. I was really unimpressed. The wait was long, the front staff looked bored and were really quite rude. I wouldn't go there again. Neither would my friend.\r \r shana more

Consistently excellent care past 12 5/12/2006

Unfailingly caring, warm, prompt, flexible; knowledgable about and skilled in the latest advances in dog, cat, and small animal care -- Kenton Taylor and his associates at Mirimonte have given my animal friends outstanding care for the past 12 years. I recommend them highly. more

Good care, pricey, though 3/6/2006

I've taken one of my cats here and both of my dogs. The time I took my cat in, I really liked the vet - she was great. When I took the dogs in, I saw a different vet. He was trying to upsell really expensive, elaborate services that I didn't think were at all necessary. Also, I was very pregnant and had my preschooler with me, and the two big dogs. He made that experience very inconvenient for me. Lots of waiting. more

Miramonte Veterinary Hospital 2/10/2006

Miramonte Veterinary Hospital is relatively easy to find and there is usually lots of parking. I think the service here is pretty expensive (it costs like $60 to get a shot for my cat). The vet took great care of my cat and was very nice and courteous. The facility is not very big but the waiting area is pretty comfortable. more

High end prices! 6/7/2005

This place has a very nice staff, they were very busy when I was in there purchasing some Frontline Plus. They are right next door to the Country Pet wash in the Miramonte shopping center. Staff was quite accomodating, even weighing my dogs! And they were open on Saturday!! PROS: Great location, open on Saturdays, lots of parking in a shopping center. CONS: Expensive more
