Excellent Service 12/9/2010

I called out Minyard for a couple misc. plumbing jobs. (loose faucet, leaking hose bib, as well as an estimate to replace my water heater) They came out the same day and were able to knock out all the items I had asked them to in a matter of minutets. Which would make anyone happy. They quoted me a more that fair price to replace my water heater and even set up the appointment to change it out right before he left. Its obvious that they care for their customers a lot, which is good to know these days. more

Really decent guys 9/19/2010

I've asked these guys to come out twice for plumbing help and they've been bang on both times. The first was to fix a leaking shower and the second to assist in the install of a heavy iron sink. Both times they did perfect work and explained to my wife in great detail everything they did and why. The bill wasn't nearly as much as I expected, either. It was certainly less than the other company that wanted to be paid to just come out and see if there was anything they could to in the first place. These guys came out and just billed straight time-and-materials at a decent rate for a professional service (not ""cheap"", but not your firstborn either). I'm sold. more

Stay away from Minyard 4/8/2010

Stay away from this company. They have a terrible attitude and don't care about customers or anyone else for that matter. One of their Vans (probably their only one) nearly ran me off the road while speeding and talking on the phone. When I tried to talk to the company about it they simply hung up on me. Didnt suprise me one bit when I looked them up online and saw other reviews saying what bad attitudes they had, and the plumbing supply place that confirmed they are deadbeats. I have used Minyard twice this past year---once they came to fix my AC last summer and the service person was able to diagnose the problem (a blown capacitor) right away. I had just had my AC worked on by someone else a week before and it had broken again. Minyard fixed the problem and charged a very reasonable fee. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. I used them again this winter when my heater was malfunctioning. I had to cancel my appt 3 times due to my work schedule but they were cheerful about rescheduling the work and when they came they were again prompt and efficent and fixed the problem. fast & friendly plumbing service 8/28/2009

I getting my house ready for a big party when I discovered that my kitchen sink was leaking. I found Minyard Plumbing's ad on the back of my phone book. I called them and they were able to send someone out to fix the leak the same day. Thankfully the leak was fixed before my friends showed up for the party. I just loved how they were able to send someone out to get the problem fixed so soon. I was afraid I would have a watery mess in my kitchen during the party. They did a great job fixing the leak- I haven't had any problems with it since. more

low prices & good service 8/14/2009

I had a pipe in my kitchen burst over night, on a Saturday. I called Minyard & they were able to come out right away. The service tech was very knowledgeable & worked quickly. He got the job done. Their price was competitive and seemed in line with other companies I called. Pros: weekend/night service more

Bad Attitudes and Costly 7/17/2009

I asked them to come over to give me a quote for some plumbing in a house I was buying and the guy that showed up was cocky and condescending and gave me a quote that ended up being 3 times more expensive than anyone else. I won't go back to them...ever. Cons: attitude, price more

Less than satisfactory 1/19/2009

I have been in a customer service position the majority of my life, so this may be biased. The job was a water softner installation. I was initially inpressed with the company thus I gave them my business. They were professional and the estimate was fairly priced. To begin my appointment was rescheduled to another day for first thing in the morning. Around 10am I called to find out where the the serviceman was. I will use the name ""John"" said he would find out and call me back. Thirty minutes later I called again and he said that the serviceman was in Dripping Springs and on his way to my house. Ok what time can I expect him? The reply was around noon. Well, around 1pm I called and now he was picking up parts. Finally he arrived, now that I had waited more than half of the day. The plumber was less than professional (not that he wasn't a real nice guy), smoking on the job, and left debri and butts around the worksite. So after taking a day off and sticking around I was extremely disappointed. So, after making all of the phone calls and cleaning up the jobsite I would recommend shopping around. The only positive remarks I have is that the price was fair and the work was good. Pros: Estimator professional, quality soldering Cons: You clean up, make the phone calls more

RUN don't Walk away 10/15/2008

These folks owe our plumbing supply house a bazillion dollars.Their employees complain about bounced checks. Some their customers want to know why we had to put a LIEN on their property because Min yard did not pay us! It can get messy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! stay away. I cannot slam this company hard enough. It just gets old talking $h1t. Rip-off artists liars whatever. Cons: crappola more
