Mint Salon

Mint Salon was reccomended to me by a friend and turned out to be a very positive experience. I am very particular about my hair (who isn't?) but I absolutely loved it the minute I walked out. The last place I went in Atlanta did not do a very good job with the cut or color, but Michelle, who did my hair, did a wonderful job and fixed both the cut and the color. Also, she suggested that I try a different cut than my usual, and I did, and I love it. Plus, they fit me in on a Sunday and have really convenient hours (open late during the week) which is convenient since I work during usual salon hours. \r I highly reccomend her for coloring she did a great job with highlights and lowlights, they look very natural. I'm not usually too picky about my hair, but after a series of disastrous cuts at various in-and-out shops, I decided to try out Mint. I called at around noon on a Wednesday and was sitting at Emily's chair within 45 minutes. Everyone was very courteous and friendly upon entering the salon--not always common in Midtown. But it wasn't until I was seated with Emily that I realized what a unique place Mint truly is. She gave me the best haircut of my life (no exaggeration) all while carrying on a very friendly conversation about all sorts of things. I HIGHLY recommend Mint--and especially Emily--to anyone looking for a great haircut and friendly staff. more

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO MINT SALON, ACROSS THE STREET FROM PIEDMONT PARK. MY APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR 10AM, AND NO ONE ARRIVED TO OPEN THE DOOR UNTIL 10:20AM. THIS MADE ME 25 MINUTES LATE FOR A 12PM APPOINTMENT. MY STYLIST RAMBLED ON INCESSANTLY FOR THE NEXT 2 1/2 HOURS. I NOW KNOW ABOUT HIS ANXIETY DISORDER, ULCER, 7 LOADS OF LAUNDRY, $900.00 PANTS, HIS SISTER'S DIVORCE, I COULD CONTINUE. THE WORST IS THAT I HATE MY HAIR! IT LOOKS FROSTED! GROSS! BECAUSE OF HIS INSANE CHATTER, HE RAN OUT OF TIME TO PROPERLY CUT OR STYLE MY HAIR. SO NOW I LOOK AS IF I HAVE A FROSTED, MUSHROOM CAP ON. ALL AT THE COST OF $150.00. I was recently introduced to Mint salon by my boyfriend and I am so thankful! I come from a family a hair stylists, so I'm very particular when it comes to my hair. My boyfriend gets his cut by Laura and she is amazing! He kept talking about how great she was and after seeing what she did for him, he convinced me to stop making the drive to Marietta and try Mint instead. Dusty did my hair the first time and I was amazed. He aways makes my color look awesome and he gave me the best cut I've ever had a few months ago. I was nervous, but I let him cut 6 inches off and I couldn't be happier! I always get compliments on my hair. I love Dusty and the work he does....and I look forward to my appointments so we can catch up! The atmosphere at Mint is wonderful and the staff is so pleasant. Make sure you call ahead to get an appointment with Dusty or Laura....they are always busy! This place is one of the best in Atlanta. Tell them Katy sent you! While I have been a resident of the Atlanta metro area for 14 years, I was only recently introduced to the Mint Salon, and their marvelous staff, by my fiancee. The stylist who cut my hair, Dusty Deloach, is an extraordinary talent who makes all of his clients feel like part of the family. I also got a facial (my first) from Marty and the experience was among the most sybaritic indulgences I have ever experienced. I have been quite pleased with all the services that I have received at Mint Salon. The atmosphere is awesome! Very professional and state-of-the-art. Dusty was the stylist who shaved my head and I must say he is very outgoing and a sparky guy! Marty has done both facials and waxing on me and I can honestly say he is the best that I've been to. The staff there always make me feel comfortable and part of their ""place"". I would definitely recommend Mint to anyone who likes top notch professionalism and the latest in hair/skin care!! I have been frequenting Mint Salon for the past several months and have had a excellent experience each time. Along with a great atmosphere and excellent staff I find Dusty, my stylist, to be the best in Atlanta. I have been in ATL for the past 13 years and have visited numerous stylist but have found Dusty to be the most talented. I will admit he talks alot so but that all good as well!! \r \r SD more

This is my second review for MINT SALON and I still give it 5 stars. Dusty and Laura are the two stylists who continue to do my highlights and haircuts and because of my bust schedule I sometimes need to rotate between them.... they both work well together and never make me feel bad if I have to choose one over the other. They are talented and profesional and I adore them and there work. Also- Dusty referred me to MARTY for a waxing and facial. Both were great but Marty's facial was OUTSTANDING! GIVE THEM ALL A TRY! Pros: The manager/ owner seems to be present and makes sure all the clients are happy and satisfied! Also- some Sunday appointments. Cons: Parking in the lot can be tough at lunch time but there is parking on the side street and behind the salon! more

We all know that a great hair cut and ""natural highlights"" are not the most important thing, but it sure helps you look and feel fabulous. Thanks to Dusty De Loach, world-class stylist, he fixed my tragic hair so that I can look my best! The salon is Tres Chic in a casual and fun way. Their service is much like that found in five star exclusive spas. The 110% devoted staff is friendly, helpful, and simply a premier notch above the rest. I'm so happy that my favorite city finally has a world class salon, welcome Mint salon!!!! more

I absolutely LOVE this place. They make you feel right at home, and the atmosphere is great. Everyone is very friendly. My hairstylist is Laura, she is amazing. She does exactly what you tell her you'd like and is so friendly. I was very happy with the service I received at the Mint Salon. The prices are also affordable. My friend and I had a very bad experience at this salon and we will never go back. We both got hilites and a cut from different stylist. Both of us looked terrible and we had to go somewhere else to get to get thier work corrected. I wouln not go to this salon Cons: everything more
