They are really good at ruining their costumers clothes. I hate this place and I wish they will be out of business soon. Very very very bad cleaners. more

Most Expensive Worst Dry Cleaner in LA False Advertising 7/7/2012

I had a dress dry cleaned yesterday, because my regular cleaner does not offer same day service. When I brought the dress in I was told that the 2 hour service would be 4 hours minimum. I got ?sticker shock? because I was charged $21 for a very simple dress, when my regular dry cleaner only charges $12 for the same dress. I had to ask twice about prices. They don't ask for money up front, so you get the sticker shock after the work is done. Be careful of any place that does not tell you costs up front. I thought about leaving immediately, but then I thought the more expensive price must mean better work and I really needed the same day service. I should have read some reviews online before going. I showed the problem of the dress to the woman accepting it, so there would be no misunderstanding about what needed to be done. The dress had been hanging in my closet and there were some dust stains at the hem, where it had been peeking out of the garment bag. There were also several very small spots (1/2 inch) of food stains, from a clumsy waiter at a restaurant. This is nothing that any dry cleaner cannot handle, I have had wool jackets dry cleaned to perfection from having dust stains on the shoulders. I was shocked that the dress that I picked up looked exactly like the dress that I had turned in. All of the dust stains were there, except perhaps they were a little lighter than before, a little less visible. I was also shocked, that every single one of the little spots that I had pointed out were still there, not one was missing. So, I can only assume the ?spot removal? service is a joke, even when you point out the spots to the employees, they still don?t remove them. So, for $21 Milt & Edie?s did nothing for me. I was not able to wear the dress and I had to scramble at the very last minute to find something else to wear, when I lifted the plastic and found that nothing had been cleaned. In short Milt & Edie?s is a lot of promises and nothing delivered. People should not be paying more, when the work done is a lot worse, which in my case was literally nothing. For a minute I thought perhaps the dress had not been dry cleaned at all. The only reason I can be sure that they did dry clean it because, the stains looked lighter than before. If it were up to their service, I would have to throw the dress away right now, because it is unwearable. The website looks great, but the service is terrible, certainly much worse than my regular dry cleaner who does not even do any work on site. I contacted the management at Milt & Edie's and they did not respond at all to my complaint. That's another promise not fulfilled. I should have received a full refund for this terrible service, so I could take it to my regular dry cleaner who is at least honest with me about what she can and can't do. Also, I was a new customer and I did not even get a ?gift bag.? I point this out, because this is an example of just another thing that was promised and not delivered. It is too bad, because the hours were very convenient for emergencies and the services promised on the website are amazing. I mistakenly thought that the additional expense would be worth it for a better range of services. I can safely say the so called ?10 point promise? for every garment on their website is just advertising. If you ever read their website, it almost comical to think about what they promise and what they deliver. Also, going into their store, there were no customers, no popcorn etc., just 2 people standing around directing non existing traffic to the receiving desk. more

Unbelievable service! ...nose bleed in 5/31/2012

Unbelievable service! ...nose bleed in car on way to work, tried a stain remover stick i had in my computer bag, didn't work at all...went to Toluca lake drycleaners, asked if they had a cleaning solution that could get out the stain - said ill pay them extra...they were not accommodating at all, said I'd need to leave the shirt all day. Would've been ok but I didn't think starting off the work week working topless would fly at the office. Went around the corner to Milt & Edie's...they acted as professionally as any drycleaners I'd ever been to (not my area of expertise anyway because my wife handles) took care of the stains in 15 minutes...as I sat there one of the ladies (if shes not a manager, she should be) gave me an update.. GREAT JOB, FOLKS...THAT'S THE WAY TO RUN A SERVICE BUSINESS! more

I was quite happy 5/15/2012

I had a GROUPON and I trekked out by Bus, RedLIine and Bus and it was well worth it. The place is HJGE and does have a 'factory feel' but once i had helped myself to a bag of free popcorn and sat down to wait and let people aclimatize themselves to my garb (hat was spectacular from my 'collection' but in Burbank they dont see these....)I felt very comfortable. I left alterations-they seem to have a HUGE staff of people at sewing machnes and dry cleaning. I have to TREK back to pick it all up, but i was quite happy and am sure they will do a very good job!! I canNOT believe the two negative reviews and hope they were having an 'off' day......I will give a second report after I return to take more stuff and pick up what I left. I HOPE they did the great job I think they offer. more

Also do great work with the alterations 5/7/2012

You can visit this place just about any time of the day or night! Never an excuse not to pick up your dry cleaning. Also do great work with the alterations. Always have snacks waiting for you, too! more

This is the only cleaners or tailor I will ever go to 5/4/2012

This is the only cleaners or tailor I will ever go to. I love this place. And I love all the employees. The tailors are the best ever. I feel like Rozik is my personal tailor. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The service or quaility of the work could not be better. The only place I would trust my vintage clothing too. And some may complain about the prices but you get what you pay for. I would rather pay thier prices then go anywhere else for sub par work and poor customer service. more

I was looking for a place that was open late 5/1/2012

I was looking for a place that was open late so I can get my pants hemmed (I work 9-6+ everyday) and Milt and Edie's is open 24 hours...so convenient! Always come here to get my pants hemmed because I am short and they are awesome! So fast and efficient! Same with the 2 hour dry cleaning, love it! If you like their facebook page, they give you a $10 voucher. I'm so happy I found this place! more

I needed some patches sewn on 4/26/2012

I just bought a new motorcycle jacket and I needed some patches sewn on ASAP. It was a Sunday and I called all around town but Alteration shops were either closed or had no experience in sewing on leather until I ran across M&E Drycleaners. Not only did they sew on my patches but they had it done in 3 hours. The price was a tad bit expensive but the work was done immediately and I had my jacket and I was back on the road riding in no time. I recommend this place if you need something done right away. more

I've been a loyal customer 4/17/2012

I have to say that I was shocked to see that this amazing drycleaners has only 3 stars. I was actually searching for something else on Yelp and ran into their reviews. And now I have to write my own two cents about this great place. I've been a loyal customer of Milt and Edie's for about four years now. It was highly recommended to me by other people in my profession. I'm a wardrobe stylist and costume designer in LA. And one of my primary and most important responsibilities is to make sure that I take very ""VERY"" good care of the actor's clothes. If anything happens to their clothes MY job is on the line... I trust no one else with my costumes and wardrobe but Milt and Edie's. As a wardrobe stylist and an experienced consumer, the following are the reasons why I love Milt and Edie's: 1)They are open 24 hours. So no matter what time it is, you can go there and pick up or drop off. 2) They have a very quick turn around! Even two hours or less!...just ask to speak to their amazing, professional, friendly manager.....he WILL help you because he actually really cares about what he does! I drop off my clothes and they ask me when I want to pick it up. I can even pick my 30 pieces up the next day at no extra cost. 3) A+++++ costumer service. Boy is it getting very hard if not impossible to find this in LA. Tip-top customer service is what you'll find at this drycleaners. I once received a pair of pants with a stain on them. I simply took it back and they re-drycleaned at no extra cost and delivered them to my home. They will fix any problem that a customer might have. 4) FREE pick-up and drop off to your home. 5) They clean the American flag for free. It's good to still see some patriotism in this country. 6) Not only will they dryclean your clothes but they also fluff and fold, clean wedding dresses, clean purses, clean Uggs, your leathers and furs ...and much more. 7) If you are unemployed and you're going to an interview, Milt and Eddie's will dry clean your suit for free. Seriously folks, how many dry cleaners would do this....or would even care? 8) They're constantly mailing coupons and they always accept competitors coupons. How many other dry cleaners send out monthly coupons? I have read some of the other reviews on Yelp about Milt and Edie's and noticed that people were giving this place low stars because they were expensive. Well, all I have to say is that if you can't afford to shop at Bloomies go to Target. Hey Peeps, it's wrong to give this place low stars because you feel that they're expensive. Yes, Milt and Edie's isn't cheap but then again if cheap is what you are looking for than go to one of the many cheap dry cleaners in LA that will charge a couple of bucks and will use the cheapest form of solutions (not to mention horrible for the environment), ruin your clothes the very first time they dry clean it, and offer horrible, nasty, costumer service. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR :) more

Stapled the receipt to my SHIRT! 11/16/2010

I love that Milt & Edie's is 24 hour, and a friend told me they do good work and very fast if you need it. Seeing as how I have an interview for what is basically my dream job this week, I opted for their ""quick and excellent"" service. They were quick (I had my shirt in less than 24 hours) and the press job was pretty good, but I was preparing my outfit for the next day's interview and discovered that they had stapled the receipt to my shirt!!!! I very carefully unfolded the staple and removed it from my shirt without ruining the shirt, but obviously there are two small holes on the shoulder of my shirt where the staple punctured. more

Lifesavers do Exist. 6/7/2010

The last few times that I realized that I needed an emergency tailor, Milt and Edie have come through. The most recent time was Friday night. I saw that I needed pants taken in and panicked as it was ten to midnight and I needed this outfit for an engagement party the next day. I bolted over and was able to catch Carlos just as he was closing up for the night. He heard the panic in my voice and understood. He was fantastic and hemmed my pants without a second thought. It still blows me away that this place exists and moreover, that the staff is so friendly and outgoing. They must hear these stories all of the time, but they continue to go about their days and nights with a smile. Certainly it cost a bit more to have the hem fixed (13.00) but that's far and away better than not being able to wear them. You get what you pay for though. This place is there for you when the others aren't and really for those of us that don't plan ahead as much as we'd like to, this place is a lifesaver. Pros: Great and friendly staff, 24 Hours! more

Worth the price 1/12/2007

I was very impressed. I brought my items in for dry cleaning here at Milt and Edie's because I used to walk by it every day while working next door in Burbank. I needed them to be absolutely spotlessly clean - and they turned out perfect! WORTH THE PRICE! Pros: professional, cleanliness, staff Cons: a bit pricey, but worth it! more

Master Dry Cleaners 5/12/2002

ilt & Edie's (that's the new name) has a few good things going for it. Number one, they are master dry cleaners, which means that they have actual certification as a dry cleaning professional; they're not just some random person who decided one day, 'Hey, let's open a dry cleaning store. How hard could it be?' Pros: close to studios, professionals Cons: expensive more
