Great Experience 6/2/2017

I think they did a great job. I hired them recently to rebuild an automatic transmission, and everything is running smoothly so far. Their mechanics were polite when we spoke, they handled themselves in a professional manner, and they got the job done quickly. I found the price to be competitive with other companies, but the quality of the work done justifies the price. It isn't inexpensive, but it's definitely worth it. I haven't experienced any issues with my transmission, and I will definitely recommend their services in the future. more

Brand New Transmission 5/3/2017

I used Mr. Transmission Fayetteville once. I took my car in to get a new transmission. It worked out well and I had no further problems with it. I would recommend Mr. Transmission Fayetteville to other people in the area for their car service! more

They Have A Lot Of Integrity 4/20/2017

I took my 1994 Chevy C1500 to Mr. Transmission of Fayetteville to have the transmission rebuilt. About 10 years ago, I had taken a different vehicle to a Mr. Transmission in another city. Both times they did a really good job. Their customer service is great. They completed the work within the time frame they gave me. They are always reliable and seem to have a lot of integrity. That goes for both of the locations that I have been to. I highly recommend them. more

Bait and Switch Tactics 3/4/2017

This business is a fraud and they will do a bait and switch to scam you out of your money. Staff will lie about free towing and try and keep your car.  Please look elsewhere for repairs. more

Warning Not good at all recommend another shop 1/15/2017

Hi I am a father with 11 kids got hired at mr.tran about 4 weeks ago an did not like the way they treated there employees our customers so I quit. The owner Robert. Would not release my pay for the last week that I work .they have people bring there card there for free just to check an when there done I will be paying for something the free part is to get your car in the shop an after that they tell u well we checked ur car the transmission is not shifting or something of that nature. An the may add some other repairs for u to believe that your car is not drivable but in the end its just to get money. I quit for 4 reasons .first I was being paid late every week . Secondly they have bad attitudes. Third they don't do good trans work I took one trans out 4 times before the customer came an got car an when the car left it was still not right but they still gave it to customer. Forth they dont put customers first an they talk bad about ever customer that comes there .so after working there for. 4 weeks I got free up with the money scream more

Great service but awful mechanics. 12/3/2016

My wife brought in our hummer to be rebuilt and its been a month and the hummer still runs almost as bad as when i brought it in. $3400 in work(almost as much as dealership but without the 4 year warranty) and the truck constantly slips out of gear and constantly wont downshift. Its impossiable to pull out in the street anymore because every time i give it an decient amount of gas it comes out of gear, so low and behold, i have to make sure i come to an redlight to turn. I am greatful i never brought my bucket trucks there.................... more

Very quick service 8/23/2016

I think the thing that I liked them most about the guys over at Mr. Transmission Fayetteville is that they provided very quick service. They were able to get me in and out right away which I thought was really cool and was very convenient. They had all the parts in stock right there which led to them being able to do the work right away. Their customer service was off the charts as well which made the whole experience very pleasant. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs some work done on their car because they will definitely take really good care of you. more

wonderful service, great and pleasent 8/12/2016

When I went into Mr. Transmission Fayetteville they were very polite and helpful. They really try to explain to you whats going on with your vehicle and what might be wrong with it. They showed me the inside of the transmission so I could see what was happening, and upgraded the transmission for me, extending the life of my vehicle. They were very polite and nice, I have recommended people go to them many times and they have all had similar experiences. more

It was good 4/25/2016

Mr. Transmission Fayetteville was really great. They rebuilt the transmission and replaced the rear main seal on the engine. They took great care of the car, and then they drove it to Texas. They also took care of us, and they were very good. It was my first time going to them and it was a very pleasurable experience. more

Affordable 3/31/2016

Mr. Transmission Fayetteville's prices are very reasonable. I thought it'd be a lot more than that. Another place was going to charge a lot higher, so the prices seemed pretty fair. This was my first time using them. They did a transmission rebuild and I'm going to go in for a checkup. more

They really worked with me 3/30/2016

The guys over at Mr. Transmission Fayetteville really helped me out of a pickle recently. My car had broken down on the side of the road while I was driving with my seven year old son. I was frantic and these guys really did a good job in helping me feel assured that they would take care of everything. They were super good guys and they really worked with me and created a trusting environment where I could feel comfortable trusting them to do what needed to be done. Their expertise was evident, and their explanations were thorough and easy to understand. They took care of my car in a relatively quick manner which saved me some stress. I would definitely come back to these guys should the need arise! more

Very nice and hospitable 3/28/2016

I needed to have some work done on my car recently and the people over at Mr. Transmission Fayetteville helped me do just that. The people who work there and helped me out were very nice and very hospitable. They worked quick and efficiently and the turnaround time was pretty good. My only downside is that I had to have some pretty expensive work done and I did not really have time to shop around so I don't really have an idea about how their prices are in comparison to others. That being said, they did a really good job on fixing up my car and I would definitely come back to these guys should the need arise. more

Very informative and friendly 3/25/2016

This was the second car that I have brought to the guys over to at Mr. Transmission Fayetteville because they did such a good job with the first car. I really like these guys because they are very informative, they tell you exactly what is going on and the steps they are going to take to fix it. They give very accurate quotes, both on the total price as well as how much time it will take them to do the work. The guys are just very likable and they definitely look like they know what they are doing which inspires confidence in leaving your car in their care. The price has been very reasonably for me both times and I am happy to have found a reliable mechanic that I can trust. more

Business conducted well, efficient and timely 3/24/2016

Everything turned out excellent when I had Mr. Transmission Fayetteville rebuild a transmission for me on a 1995 Chevy G20 van. The job was done pretty quick, in three business days. It was for my work truck and I didn't have much time to wait. They were thorough and I didn't have any problems. They didn't just tell me what was wrong on the phone--they diagnosed it. I work for a company that uses them, so I knew they were the ones to go to. Also, they helped me with the price and did a pretty good job keeping me informed. Although the price was higher than I really would have liked, the warranty helped pay for it--so it is what it is. I needed the job done right with a warranty. more

Quick turn around. I supplied my new transmission and my lexus GS300 came home happy 7/10/2015

No problems thus far. They communicated with me. They did call and tell me that they needed to replace a part for 25 more dollars. They made sure they generated more charges but I'm happy sp far with my car. more

Too long in repair turn around 2/19/2015

I first visited here on a recommendation from where I was working at the time. The staff was pleasant although it took them a week to let me know what the problem was. They recommended a replacement transmission. Here's where the fun starts. Once I was able to pay them to start the work, it was another three weeks for them to recive the replacement transmission and install it. I had to repeatedly call for updates when I was very specific in updating me with progress. I had to chase them down continually. Finally the replacement transmission arrived and everything was fine and dandy..... for five months. Now the replacement transmission has failed spectacularly and thankfully it was warrantied. However, I am again at almost three weeks having to chase someone down for updates when promised regular updates. Once this repair is hopefully resolved, I will not darken the door of this company again. Nor will I recommend them to anyone else. By tje way, no compensation has been offered for keeping me without a vehicle for so long. I haven't yet decided if I want to press this matter legally. more

Outstanding service 1/26/2015

Took my 2002 Isuzu Rodeo for transmission work the mechanic updated me on ever step at agreeable price. Now i have new transmission for the past 6 months with no problems. more

Best shop in town 11/5/2014

I originally came to the shop for shifting trouble and was told I needed a transmission overhaul. It was done very timely and they worked with my schedule. I called around fayetteville to other shops and mr.transmission has the best prices around. Ray and Robert make you feel at home while your there would recommend to any one looking for auto repair. more

Typical Bait and Switch 9/15/2014

While my transmission does appear to be in better running condition than before I took it in (removed from the car myself) and the input shaft bearing that was rattling was replaced I was upsold for parts that "would have given me trouble soon" at a PREMIUM price, sure the initial cost was straightforward, $500 for the most common manual transmission in the US (90's civic) to be cleaned, inspected and reassembled with one bearing and all seals replaced, when I got back up there when I got the call it was ready (quick service, a week or so turnaround) the price doubled because I was "probably grinding in a couple gears" which was total bs and just an attempt to seperate me from more of my money with the number one line they use. While I have no reason to doubt they actually replaced the parts they say needed it they never called for me to inspect the old ones and make a decision before doubling the price. On a more positive note the transmission was properly put back together and has run for nearly 20,000 miles without incident since. more
