Mr. Transmission Milex Fayetteville

I've spent close to $4000 in consecutive repairs with Mr. Transmission and am pretty unhappy. They fixed my car twice thus far and my car is still experiencing the same transmission issues. I've already been renting a car for two weeks now and am dissatisfied with the dishonesty from Mr. Transmission. They should know how to fix my transmission from the get go, considering that this is their business. Instead, I've continued to spend money on several repairs from them that involved replacing the wrong parts, etc. Now, I've put in more money towards a car that I would have saved more money by selling but can't now since it still has transmission problems. The crew at Mr. Transmission was friendly, which is what made me go with them, but I regret doing so. more

I have gone to Mr. Transmission once before, and they are usually pretty good. They rebuilt my transmission in my daughter's truck. It was hard to compare prices with other shops, it's like mechanics have an unwritten rule where they won't give exact prices on transmission costs, haha, so I couldn't say how their prices were. But, there haven't been any problems with the transmission so far. The guys that helped me were also friendly. I would recommend them. more

I found Mr. Transmission online while I was searching for someone to rebuild the transmission on my Ford Ranger. I took it in and they did a great job for me, they really met all of my expectations. Going to a mechanic is as scary as going to the doctor.. you just don't know what the diagnosis is going to be when something is ailing. My 10 year old Jeep Liberty Ltd's transmission finally started to call it quits. I spoke to Ray and had the most pleasant conversation with him, and every conversation live and over the phone remained just as pleasant. He really put me at ease about the major repair I was dreading ahead of me. I took the car in on Friday and met Dave and left the keys with him (also a funny guy!). Later Ray called to let me know the diagnosis and was able to help keep the costs down on my repair. Ray told me I'd have my Jeep back by Tuesday and sure enough he was calling me before noon to let me know she was ready! Milex's Mr. Transmission is my new go-to mechanic for all of my Jeep's needs! I had a problem with my truck. The engine light came on so I went to the dealer to have it looked at. The dealer charged me a lot just for a diagnostic and told me there was a problem with my transmission. They wanted to charge more to go into the transmission and find the problem, but I felt that for the price of the diagnostic they should have already found the cause. I took my truck to another shop but they told me they don't work on 6 speed transmissions, which is what I have. I looked online and found Mr. Transmission in Fayetteville. I took my truck in and after three hours they had found no problems with my transmission. There was an error code that caused my engine light to come on and I just needed to have it reprogrammed. I thought I would have to get a new transmission or have it rebuilt. I want to thank Ray for being honest and taking care of my problem. He looked at my situation and gave me the best result. I will tell my friends to take their vehicles to Mr. Transmission in Fayetteville. more

I had a problem with oil leaks so I took my car to Mr. Transmission. They fixed it but I had more leaks and brought it back. They repaired it again and as I was leaving the lot, my car cut out. I thought this was something they had done but it turned out not to be the case. The technician that worked on my car went out of his way to call up the manufacturer and see if the ignition had been recalled. It had and my car was eventually repaired. Not only did they fix it properly, but they also found the overarching problem. more

I will advised you not have your vehicle fixed by Mr. Transmission...Scott, the shop manager at Lawrence ville HWY location is a lair don't believe anything he says..This man told if i bring my vehicle in, that he would pay for the towing and run a diagnose test for free I end up paying for the tow and the diagnostics. more

Mr. Transmission totally rebuilt my transmission and did a major tuneup on the auto. Everything was great. more

From the very first phone call to this place, it was great! The kind man on the phone listened to all my "dumb" questions, and never once acted like they were "dumb questions" and took a lot time answering me, and discussing my options. He even was able to give me some idea of cost. My transmission had been rebuilt by a different garage and had some recurring problems. Well, Milex/Mr Transmission fixed that problem, and gave me a heads-up on some additional things I might need to fix in the future. They were ALWAYS courteous, and when I called to inquire about my car, alwaYS treated me well. In the end, the price was great, the car is fixed, I now have a new place that i TRUST to do good work at a good price, and that makes me happy! I have told many friends about this new discovery of mine!! more

I had about 35,000 miles on my car since I had bought it at CarMax, and I hadn't done any maintenance work concerning the transmission. I went by the Toyota dealership to have it looked at and they said it was time to clean out the transmission filter. I was sure it was something that Mr. Transmission could take care of. When they opened the case, they found that another, replaceable filter was added (thanks to CarMax), so instead of cleaning out the filter, they just replaced it. They were also able to change my oil while they had my car. They called me back, and my car was ready to go again. more

I was vacationing in Georgia when my car broke down. I was able to get my car right in to Mr. Transmission of Fayetteville. They people there were incredible and totally exceeded my expectations just to help me get back on the road. They did a fantastic job, and I really appreciated it. This was my first time doing business with Mr. Transmission of Fayetteville. Robert told me to bring my car in the same day I called. I had an idea what the problem was, but I was not sure, so I had him check it out. He saw that it had too much fluid, so he cleaned it out and changed the oil. I still have not gotten the sensor right because it still says I need the oil changed, but he said that might be a glitch. I also had a starter problem that he was able to identify and explain. Mr. Transmission of Fayetteville was great. They were recommended to me by a friend of mine who doesn't do transmission work. I needed my car because I had committed to take some senior citizens from my church on a trip, and I needed the space in my car to take them. I told him he had 48 hours to do it, and he did it. The work is perfect. It was my first time using them. They were true to their word, quick, and the price was as they said. It was great. He told me it usually takes 5 to 7 days to do the job, but he got it done in 48 hours. Mr. Transmission diagnosed my car very quickly. They actually sent me back to the person where I had work done before, because it was faulty work. They provided me the information to go back to the last repair shop. They did charge me for the diagnosis, but let me know it was something previously done to the car. This was the only time I've used them. They seem to be very honest. D. Harris more

I went to the Ford dealership, and they told me I had $2100 worth of repairs that I needed. I went to Mr. Transmission of Fayetteville and shared the report with them. They checked out my vehicle as well, and didn't charge me anything to do so. The dealership charged me $90 just to check it out. Mr. Transmission determined that they would be able to take care of of the problems for $700. They found that out of the two problems identified by the dealer one was actually a problem but the other one wasn't. They fixed the problem, and took care of the second issue with just some maintenance. I walked out knowing that if I had gone to the dealership I would have paid for unnecessary repairs. I appreciated Mr. Transmission's honesty. I am unemployed right now, so the money difference between the two shops was incredible. Mr. Transmission was helpful and friendly. They were on time with the repairs, and they did what they said. I feel they are trustworthy. When you can take someone for a lot of money but don't it shows your honesty. It is hard to find auto people that are trustworthy and good at what they do. I have been driving my vehicle, and it is running great again. They are a trustworthy group. more
