My experience with Mike's Auto Service over the last 4 years has been great. They are the only shop that works on my car, a 1996 Oldmobile Aurora, and it is running well.
They are always friendly and courteous, and they call me before they do any work on my car to let me know how much it is going to cost, which I appreciate.
Mike's has done a variety of maintenance and repair work for me, from replacing the brakes and the air conditioning unit to the engine coil and serpentine belt. They do good work and they stand by it.
They are honest and reputable. They are not trying to make a quick dollar. If there is nothing wrong with your car, they will tell you that. They do not try to detect a problem. They also will tell you if they do not know what is wrong.
For example, when my serpentine belt went out, the car was making a loud noise. When I took it to Mike's, the noise stopped -- it was acting fine for them and they could not detect the problem. They told me to bring it back when it made the noise. I did, and they discovered that it was the serpentine belt.
Interestingly, it was another local mechanic that initially recommended Mike's Auto Service because it was closer to me than their shop. So, even one of their competitors recommended them. I have already referred several people to Mike's.
