Your plumber was on time, professional, patient and thorough. 1/1/2017

We had a clogged toilet, and the young man who came from MC Plumbing did a FABULOUS job of taking care of all details. He even sat and patiently listened to my elderly mother's stories about her plumbing history in this house. We would recommend Mike Counsil Plumbing to anyone. more

Great work completed on time 12/29/2016

I had 3 other plumbers here who did not do a good job and the work had to be done over. So I was really leery when I hired MIke Counsil as I had spent over $700 the sinks and toilets still were not working correctly. Jerry B came out from Mike Counsil Plumbing and did a GREAT job. He was on time, friendly, efficient, the advice he gave me made sense and now, finally I have two working sinks that drain, and two toilets that have stable seats and don't rock. Seems like easy things to fix, but the 3 others that came weren't able to do it. I am extremely pleased with the work done by Jerry B and will call them first for all my plumbing needs. And I highly recommend them to others. Price fair and certainly better because the work is done correctly the first time. And I was able to get them to come the day after I called them. At xmas time. This was GREAT! more

Took Two Calls to Get Service 12/28/2016

Called to have bathroom sink plunger installed. First appt did NOT show up. I work at home and I was here. Second appt came early without a phone call, but the work he did was just fine. John Kiely, Ph.D. more

Too expensive 12/26/2016

I see a pattern. I had to get an appt way later than I wanted - and then they called me saying that they had to cancel. Message left on ans machine. The next day I called upset over the long awaited for cancellation - and they had a technician available. Abel arrived - very professional, tactful, and highly competent. He was not sure of what I was told by City of San Jose Building Inspection - and we arranged a conference call. Got to the meat of what was needed. He had to call someone from the office to give me an estimate. I was desperate and under a time crunch by City of San Jose. The charges were very high - I think because I refused / could not afford - a more expensive tankless water heater. Installation was great and professional - just way too expensive. It was explained we were a small non-profit: installation was about 20% of annual income. more

Did a good job and replaced some of the underhouse sewer piping. 12/23/2016

We got speedy service and a bunch of work done under the house on the sewer line pipes and the kitchen sink area. THis involved replacing some old cast iron pipe under the house with new more modern ones. It was a big job and a crew of 4 came out to get everything done in 1 day. There is still 1 little follow up item that someone was gogin to come out to do. Waiting for that. more

Plumber didn't turn up!! Don't trust them 12/12/2016

Hi , I scheduled a Plumber service with Mike Counsil Plumbing Inc, and waited 2 weeks as I read good reviews about them in the Internet. On the day of the service (when plumber was scheduled to come) I got a call from their office saying that Plumbers are busy in their ongoing job and I need to schedule or contact some other Plumbing service. It's not professional way of service, unnecessarily I wasted waiting for their Plumber service 2 weeks, Very disappointed!! please don't trust them. more

I was very happy with the service I received. The technician Abel was prompt which in my book is a major plus. He arrived with a smile. He was effecient, knowledgeable, took the time to explain what was needed and the reason. He cleaned the work area when the job was completed. I would not hesitate to use MCPLUMBING again. The response time to my first inquirey was very short, and the work was evaluated and completed in one day. 12/5/2016

When Kevin came to diagnose the water heater problem he was prepared to solve the problem on the spot, including moving the washing machine and removing the old w.h. He left to purchase the new w.h. and another part, but returned in a short time and was able to get everything done, including moving a challenging copper pipe configuration. The price was higher than expected, but quality of work and the service package factored into the decision. more

Had Richard out to fix a drainage clog. He was prompt, kept everything clean and fixed the problem. I had confidence that he knew what to do. I will take his suggestions for future preventive maintenance. Great to have someone do everything right. more

Sewer Repair 11/30/2016

I called Mike Counsil Plumbing out of the 5 Star Rated Homeowner Referral Handbook to inspect after having two toilets backup and sewage coming up from my shower. They inspected my pipes and found several cracks. Although the price was more than I ever envisioned, they're work was very professional. I dealt mainly with Shane and Jordan, however, all the technicians to include the cement/drywall/stucco people were very polite and professional. I feel very comfortable with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend Mike Counsil Plumbing. more

I would highly recommend Mike Council Plumbing. The job was explained very well, costs were upfront, questions answered before any work began. Things were explained, and I felt the Richard took extra time to ensure the job was done right. He also offered complimentary advice about another issue I was concerned about, without trying to "upsell," us. I felt he was honest and the work was done efficiently. He was on time, and did not rush through a job. He did it well, and as he came across things during the job, he stopped to tell us about risks, even if they were unlikely to occur, before continuing. He also cleaned the area before leaving. If we need work done in the future, we will be calling back. more
