Mighty Fine Burgers

I've been to a lot of burger places. You've got your specialty burgers and then you've got your just-a-cheese burger... Mighty Fine has the best regular cheeseburgers! I choose them over any other place. The price is a little high, but well worth it. more

This is an awesome place. I enjoy here the “BEST” burgers on town definitely. Really like the environment and love the milkshakes. I highly recommend any location of Mighty Fine Burgers. WIll come back every time that i have a chance!!! more

From the Rudy's chain. They did a lot of research prior to opening this line of burger joints. They know how to get people in and out. The order process is very simple and moves quickly...don't leave if you encounter a long line as it will move quickly. As a picky eater with a hatred for mayo, mustard etc I really appreciate it when I KNOW that my burger will be made to order as I like it. The burgers are ground and shaped daily on site. They don't salt the beef and it misses out on some good flavor. Salt is sooo basic and could really help the burger out. I really get ticked off that in Texas you have to pay extra at MFBF (on top of a $$$ burger) for jalapenos. Really? A cheeseburger and order of fries is just under $9! That's without a drink. Gimme the jalapenos, man! $30-$40 for a family to go eat bugers? The fries are cut fresh on site also but for some reason they are all real short. My friends that like ketchup have trouble with them. Lots of shorties. I don't know why. The fries seem get all the salt. I haven't had one of their shakes but I hear they are awesome. The food is good. The burger could be seasoned. The service is good. The place is super clean as you would expect from Rudy's. I reccomend it but be warned about the prices. My friends kept raving about this place, so we decided to try it. I think their opinion was flavored my the Texas monthly review. I had not read the review before I went. The fries are crinkle cut and greasy. They are well salted and tasty. The milkshakes are excellent. The burgers are thicker than a typical fast food burger. They are cooked through and through. This makes them somewhat dry. The good beefy taste of better burger places never comes through. The buns are very thin and nothing special. The vegetables are fresh. This is an average fast food burger. P. Terry's fast food burger, in comparison is much more delicious. more

I was in the mood for a big a** greasy burger. So I remembered being told about Mighty Fine and how great it was. Since I couldn't go to my favorite burger place 'BEST BURGER' anymore, I thought I would try MF. You walk in and it's a clean comfortable place, but once the food arrived and I took my first bite... I thought of Dairy Queen. The burgers are dry, small and flavor-less. There's not much of a chose to pick from, so I did a 1/2 lb cheese burger. I disliked to size, taste, everything. The fries are no better. There's nothing special about this place. I didn't try the shakes, which is blue bell ice cream by the way. So all I have to say is if you enjoy a plain old burger with little to no flavor then have at it. But I wouldn't recommend it to my dog! Ranked #37 best burger in Texas by Texas Monthly. We tried this place, and have gone back several times! It is always packed, but the lines move very fast because of the well trained staff taking orders. Atmosphere is similar to Rudy's but with a ballpark type twist. The burger itself was excellent. Natural hand pressed patties are seasoned to perfection, and the bun comes out of a machine made to butter and toast both the top and bottom bun! Their ingredients such as the Idaho potatoes, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes were all high quality. Not the best burger in Austin (Counter Cafe burger was one of the best I've ever had), but MF's fast service, atmosphere and excellent quality burger, fries, and shakes make this place a must-try! This is the best burger place I have ever eatten. I use to think fudruckers was good, until this place. There fries are amazing unlike no other I have ever had. I would reccommend this place to everyone who loves bugers. The price is worth it! Pros: So yummy Cons: None more

I read a story on this place when it was opening. They were touting how much they spent on a fry machine that made the best crinkle fries. I went a few months later. The burger was good, but not great and the fries were such a small order and were good, but not great. I paid around 10 bucks for a regular burger, fries and drink. Thought it was good, but not worth the price. Probably will never go back. more

I don't eat burger at all. Because no matter where i eat them they kinda of smell weird to me. Mighty fine change it all! After my friend told me its the best...i went it there. Pretty good burger. The meat was a good amount with the veggies being relatively fresh. The fries were thin krinkle cut fries and were also good. We also had a strawberry shake which used Blue Bell Ice Cream. BTW, the men's bathroom has one-way mirrors that you can see into the dining area. All in all, we would go back but definitely not the best burger joint we've been to. Pros: Fast more

For $11.62 I'd have thought I would have gotten more. Yeah the place is clean, but that doesn't mean taste equates. For my $11.62 I got a 1/2 pound burger (half the burger was seasoned the other half wasn't - guess they missed with the seasoned salt), cheese, jalapenos, bacon, lettuce and tomato. I had a choice of mayo, catchup and mustard. I chose the catchup and mustard. Fries were served Waterloo Ice House style but are more like string fries. and a drink. When I got there at 10:45 AM on Thursday the 4th, the place wasn't busy. You could tell that Rudy's owned the place by all the yelling going on. Service wasn't that fast and some of the staff sitting at the tables seemed to be having fun banging on the tables more than helping customers. This place isn't Waterloo or Huts or any other of the Austin local burger places. I won't make them a regular when I can drive a little further and get better burgers and fries. Probably a good idea to only have this location. Also not a place you'd want to go and watch a UT game either. more

This place is great!! The line can get long, however it is pretty quick. The shakes are amazing and the burgers are probably my favorite yet (very competitive with In and Out). The prices aren't bad either! more

If you love Rudy's you will love Might Fine. The open face chili dogs are great! Get there early, the line can get long. Pros: Great Food! Cons: Can be super busy - but only because the food is so good! more

I've been there twice so far and think the burgers are super tasty and all ingredients are obviously fresh. The milkshakes were good and the soda machines are top notch. My wife loved the finely crushed ice. My only complaints are this: the highly touted crinkle cut fries are tasty but have been limp and soggy both times I've eaten there. Limp soggy fries are my biggest pet peave about a burger joint. They can spoil a meal! The only other thing I would like to see improved is the food pick-up process. You place your order and then stand around waiting for them to call your name when your food is ready. I was there on a Saturday and there was so much noise and confusion, you could not hear a thing and I had to repeatedly keep going back to the counter to see if my food was ready. more

I wish they would use different buns. Burgers are fat & tasty. Buns....not so much. Restaurant was clean and bright. Service friendly. I still would go back. I want to try those crinkly fries. more

Great Burger, Great Service! Mighty Fine is owned by the same people that own Rudy's BBQ and it has the same type of set up and atmosphere. The burgers and fries are great! They also have milk shakes and fresh squeezed lemonade but I did not try those, although they look delicious. They have a glassed in room, where you can watch the workers inside hand make the burger patties from REAL ground beef. You can also watch them slice the fresh veggies and cut the fries, right there in front of you! The Burger tastes like one that you would get at a back yard barbecue. Mmmm....Anyways, we had a great experience and plan on going back as much as possible! Pros: Fresh food- you know exactly what your eating. Cons: None! more
