Professional and prompt 1/29/2014

My experiences with Midtown Tire have been decent. I have used them twice in the last couple of years. My car broke down close by a year ago and they were able to fix it promptly. They fixed my clutch well and I had no problems with it. One fluke about the service was that they didn't charge me for the service until three months later which caused a lot of issues for me. On the other hand, they installed new tires for me last week for a great price. Overall, it was an okay experience. more

Convenient 1/27/2014

Midtown Tire replaced my front shocks a couple of weeks ago and recently did my back shocks and a flat tire. They're an easy-going group there and the place is clean. Not a hassle and keep their promises. They're very convenient in my neighborhood. It's a little bit pricier than I like but the convenience overrides the price for me. more

Extremely quick and cheap. I was very happy. 11/6/2013

I popped a tire yesterday; the sidewall blew out. I changed to my doughnut, then took it to Midtown Tire. It turned out that the tire was 100% warranted. Not only did they fix it for me in only 25 minutes, but they also only charged me $27 for the cost of labor. I was really, really happy about that. I thought it would be several hundred dollars I wasn't planning to spend! more

Great guys! 10/16/2013

I've used Midtown Tire for years for tire service like replacements and repairs. They've been excellent and came recommended. Their service has been so good, I've written them two letters about how they just $@!#% away by what they do. There was one time, in particular where I got a flat and and I went in to get it changed with a new tire. I had put on the spare myself and thought they had forgotten to give me my spare back after they put in the new tire. They told me that they had put it back where it came from. Now, I'm an interior designer and there was stuff like lamps and pillows in the back. Meaning, they took everything out, put the spare back, put the rug back, and put all the stuff back neatly. It was unbelievable! They're always professional and really accommodating. I have tire insurance and they're a pain in the $@!#% about giving them money in a timely manner. They're always on time, they call you before hand, and they're just great guys. Walter Mazzanti more

Absolute great shop! 9/6/2013

I've been using Midtown Tires mostly for tests for vehicles which are fixer-uppers. They've always kept my vehicles running at minimum cost. They make sure that they are safe and road-worthy. They tell me what is required so I only have to pay for what is necessary. They always manage to fit me in and take care of me in a timely manner. Their shuttle service is phenomenal. I like that I don't have to sit around for hours. They've spotted and fixed problems other places closer to me have missed. For example, I went to another shop to have them check my tires and do a repair before I took a trip. I felt uneasy about it so I stopped at Midtown. Midtown spotted some major problems that would have been an issue for my trip. They were able to get me on the road in a few hours. Midtown and the other shop affiliated with Thom are the only two I would take my car to at this point. It's an absolute great shop. Call ahead because they may be busy with the volume they work with. It's worth the the wait. more

Midtown Tire was just so efficient and prompt. I told them I had to get to work by a certain time, so they really got me in and out. I dropped my flat tire off, came back, and they got it on quick. They checked all of my tires' pressures, and off I went! more

Excellent service and learned about nitrogen in tires 8/20/2013

Midtown Tire patched one tire and, based on my conversation with Enrique, he pointed out that I also needed new tires so I took his advice and ordered the other three. The most interesting part about the visit was learning about filling your tires with nitrogen because I had never about that before. We had long conversations about why that would be a useful and effective thing to do and one they pointed out was that oxygen is a smaller molecule and fuses to the tires more quickly. I didn't believe them at first, being a chemist, so I looked it up on the internet. Indeed, this turned out to be true and I sent them a piece I found. They were clearly interested and wanted to better understand. Altogether, it was good service but we also both left learning something new. Jim Snyder more

Midtown Tire has done every kind of service for me you could imagine: from purchasing tires and installation to the usual oil changes to recently having my timing belt replaced. front end alignment 4/27/2013

Took my truck in for the alignment, was told i need 345.00 dollars in work before the alignment could be done. said I need to wait, when i went to get my truck i had to pay the 69.00 alignment charge, for something i was told couldnt be done. my first and last visit. RESPONSE FROM Midtown Tire: I just want to apologize for your recent experience ant our service facility. It sounds like we did not do a good job of communicating what was done to your vehicle and what additional work was recommended. We did recommend camber/caster bushings because there is no physical adjustments for those measurements. After the installation of those parts, we can make adjustments so those measurements can be within your vehicle's recommended tolerances. We did make toe adjustments to promote eve tire wear. The alignment printout that was handed to you will show before and after readings to confirm the toe adjustment that we made. I again apologize that this was not clearly communicated to you. We did all we could with out the additional camber/caster bushings. I had a flat tire and brought it in to Midtown Tire. I ended up buying a new set of tires. I have had tires replaced at another shop where they messed up the warranty. Midtown Tire fixed it and took care of the problem. more

Overly satisfied. Great service price and customer service. Owner drove us to Chesapeake Restaurant for lunch and then came back to pick us up. Upon return our car was finished with 4 top of the line Michelin tires. Overjoyed with the mail in rebate. Owner even helped me fill out the rebate form. Owner got me in their computer for future visits. Can't get better. At Midtown Tire the customer is #1. Free coffee and WiFi in customer waiting area as well as TV and local newspaper. Will definitely be returning and spreading the word about how great Midtown Tire in Spfld is. more

I have brought tires in to Midtown Tire on several occasions. This time, I came in with a flat tire that had a hole in it. I didn't have time to wait and just dropped it off. They fixed the tire and when I returned, they put it on the car. more

Quick and Easy 2/22/2013

I brought a tire in to Midtown Tire because it had been deflating. They found a nail in it and repaired the tire. The job was completed by the time they said it would be and it was not too expensive. more

I go to Midtown Tire for all my oil changes. Those guys are good. I've been going there for two years, and I will continue to go to them. If you ever needed a neighborhood mechanic, those guys are the ones to go to. more
