Beware of this company, they are not very good at honoring prices in a signed contract. If they believe/insist it was an honest mistake, the customer is expected to pay extra than...

Breach of Contract 4/16/2014

Beware of this company, they are not very good at honoring prices in a signed contract. If they believe/insist it was an honest mistake, the customer is expected to pay extra than what was agreed upon. This happened to us. We had spent almost a month working with them on cabinets. Two days after we signed the design contract, they emailed to tell use that the doors we ordered require an upgrade cost they forgot about and would now require an extra $1600. Though the design agreement clearly stated the types of doors we wanted, the company refuses to honor it even though the agreement says "All materials is guaranteed to be as specified." They later offered for us to pay $700 extra instead of $1600. But the principle and spirit of the agreement is still violated. \r \r Even spoke with the President of the company and he was not very kind in this matter. On the company website, the President writes a letter that included this line:\r \r ""Once the price is agreed upon, customer service becomes the most important issue. ""\r \r I do not believe that is truly the case with this company. It seems like the President had little regard for customer service or honoring contracts. \r \r Also, when I posted the incident on their Facebook business page, the company actually deleted my post and blocked me from posting further on their site. more

Jennifer Stuart and everyone at Metropolitan Cabinets: Our 21/2 new bathrooms are now complete and we are amazed at how unique and beautiful each one is. The designs are practical and artistic , the suggestions were great and we took all of them and are Very glad we did. Each one ""works "" so well and the quality of materials from you are fantastic, everything just flows so well and is just what we wanted even though we didn't know it at the planning stage, Your patience with our indecision is\r also appreciated and your diligence with doing what was best for our situation was right on . It was a pleasure to work with you and we are very pleased with the results and your\r professionalism. \r The kitchen that Jennifer designed for us 8 years ago is everything and more that we were dreaming of and there is still nothing I would change about it. Jennifer Doing our Bathrooms now was the best decision in the complicated project (complicated to us anyway, not to her). We would never use any one else.\r Thank you Thank you Thank you more

\r I would highly recommend Jennifer Stuart at Metropolitan Cabinet to anyone going through a kitchen remodel. I originally started looking at cabinets at the local home improvement stores but I was not impressed with their ordinary service. I friend of mine recommended that I get in touch with Jennifer at Metropolitan Cabinet as she had just completed a remodel her and was so pleased. When I met with Jennifer for the first time, she had so many wonderful ideas. She sketched pictures for me so I could really get a feel for what my kitchen would look like. She is very talented and so creative. From the very beginning, Jennifer was extremely responsive and supportive. We exchanged many phone calls and emails and I never felt rushed. She always made you feel that you were her top priority. In addition to the beautiful design Jennifer came up with for my kitchen (I LOVE MY BANQUETTE!) she had great ideas for optimal functionality of my kitchen. It has been two years now, and I am still amazed at how beautiful it is! THANK YOU JENNIFER! more

Beware of Jennifer Stuart 10/13/2010

Yes, do beware of Jennifer Stuart. She made so many mistakes when doing our kitchen, it was unbelievable. She cost us thousands of dollars trying to fix her mistakes. It was a nightmare. She seemed distracted and inattentive and unable to listen to what we wanted. In the end (after we kicked her off the project) we decided to redo the entire kitchen. Never, never use this woman for any design/remodel project. more

Beware: Jennifer Stuart 1/16/2008

Our sales person made at least 5 glaring mistakes and simply didn't show any experience in her field. She continually ignored voice mail messages as we tried to relay the many problems that she caused. Going to her supervisor did not result in improved service. The cabinet selection is fine, but if your sales person is named Jennifer Stuart, RUN AWAY! It cost us two months and many gray hairs. Pros: Nice Cabinets Cons: Incompetent Service more
