My husband has been seeing these people for years. It has been a rollercoaster ride of prescription drug abuse of the worst kind! His parents and family agree -he is worse for seeing this man. He prescribes ANYTHING to him and it needs to stop before my husband is dead! My husband DRINKS and they just prescribed an opiate that he is taking like candy -and driving and drinking on! They KNOW he does this yet they give it to him anyway. He takes handfuls of vallium like its nothing at night while drinking! He becomes suicidal and abusive to me when he is high on the drugs they gave him!! DO NOT PRESCRIBE AN ADDICTIVE DRUG TO A PERSON WHO IS A HEAVY DRINKER ALREADY! EVER HERD OF AA???????? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! GET MY HUSBAND THE HELP HE NEEDS - Stop trying to KILL HIM!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR if you care about your own life or your family - he is a drug pusher and nothing more! This nightmare has lasted for 4 years and keeps getting worse and unless my husband's parents and I can stop this it is eventually going to kill him. more

EDIT: The office has improved the staff and the experience is very good now. This used to be a 1 star review but I changed it since they've replaced incompetents at the reception/scheduling with very good people. Doctors are great, I have tried many and here they have some of the best. Just hope they can maintain the good level of service at the front desk they have reestablished! I had an acceptable experience and no problem with the staff as other reviewers. Dr Pole was on time and very engaging. She did a good job for a first time visit. The office does not look or feel like a professional medical office. It feels like a public health clinic. It is not warm and there is no privacy. I want anonymity when I visit. Also, the staff needs to dress professionally. No jeans or t shirts. This is unacceptable and easy to fix. The waiting room is too large, no table and chairs surround the room like a public clinic. Over all Metroplex is a very poorly run company... but what keeps me coming back is that the doctor's are great, and a select few and I mean a very select few of the office staff are very friendly and caring. Especially the front desk receptionist. The physician's assistant is quite rude and horribly unproffessional. The office manager is unproffessional and rude as well and very arrogant. I wouldn't trade the doctors or the receptionist for anything. They are the only thing that keeps me coming back. Pros: Great doctors and great receptionist Cons: rest of staff is rude more

As a former employee of this practice I must say that the 5 years I spent there was a great learning experience. I made life long friends. The doctors and therapists are some of the best in the city, but the office manager is rude, unethical, sneaky, and selfish. She employs friends and family to save money and lost her entire office staff due to her tyrants and stubborness. I feel sorry for the remaining patients who have to deal with the unprofessional staff, hopefully the care they receive will out weigh attitudes they encounter when the walk throught the door. Like others who've posted their reviews of this office, I have ot say the doctors there are very professional and great to work with. But their staff practically forces you to go elsewhere for service.\r \r I've never seen such a ""could care less"" bunch of employees in my life.\r \r As an example, if you call and cancel an appointment, they'll neglect to note it and send you a bill for a missed appointment. And even when their own records show you did call two days before, they conveniently forget to put it in thier billing system.\r \r I also once had to wait to check out for several minutes while the appointment scheduler complained to some friend of hers on the phone.\r \r Go for the doctors and therapists, just don't expect much in the way of courtesy and consideration out of the staff. more

I will agree with the previous reviewee... The physicians are AMAZING! Like many I have often thought of leaving the practice simply because of the poor office management, however the genuine care each physician gives is irreplaceable! Metroplex Psychiatric has the most competent and caring psychiatrists I have ever worked with, and very good counselors as well. Whereas many psychiatrists are quick to dismiss patients with a quick prescription, Dr. Raju in particular takes time to listen and really tailor treatment.\r \r On the other hand, the office itself is a mess. The office manager is a tyrant who employs only her children and their seemingly teenage friends. The office is a small bureaucracy, with unprofessional service, billing, and attention. I have even considered leaving the practice simply because of the disorganization and rudeneses of these people.
