Metro Wide Movers

SO disappointing! I cannot recommend this company. Up front they appear great, the move itself was a nightmare. I ended up having to hire another moving company to move what they wouldn't/didn't move. The washer/dryer was not hooked up, the bed was half thrown together - the other moving company discovered it when I asked them for help to move it! The other bed they moved was standing on its side not even on the simple bed frame! I found a box of albums clearly marked FRAGILE at the bottom of a stack of 3 heavy boxes. The other company came in and finished what these folks started. These folks were less than professional and clearly were on a mission to be in and out in a specific amount of time and quality was not part of their equation. Again, I will not recommend this company. more

I called this company about 3 hours before they closed, the day before I needed movers in Leawood. Cole was able to come through with a crew that got the job done. The next morning, Jesse and his crew showed up, and moved faster than anyone I have ever seen before. They carefully wrapped up every item that needed to be protected, and within minutes, this entire room was empty, sitting in the back of the moving truck. The trucks come prepared with boxes, plastic wrap, multiple dollies, hydraulic lifts, and many other items that make their job most efficient. Not a single scratch on a single item, no broken wheels, desks, chairs, etc.. It was the fastest moving crew I've seen, and they took special care of the items being moved. more

This is the worst moving company I've ever used. Movers smelled like weed and couldn't throw my stuff in the truck and out fast enough. They quoted me the lowest price, but damaged a new 2,700 refrigerator and broke two of the three knobs off my dryer, not to mention damage to walls and carpet. They didn't tell me about the damage to the dryer, and the owner, Chris, could have cared less. No apology, nothing. And at .60 per pound, I ended up with an unusable dryer, a severly dented and damaged expensive refrigerator that looks TERRIBLE, and a check for a whopping $216.00 as ""replacement value."" These are not the kind of people you want in your house and to do business with. more

Metro Wide Movers gave me the best deal and they did a wonderful job. I started out and spoke to 5 different moving companies. The top 3 came to my house and gave me a quote. Not only did Metro have the best price, they were by far the most professional. The guy took his shoes off at the door. Neither of the other 2 even thought about it, even since it was raining. The move was perfect and the value was cleary worth it. My 3 movers were on time and worked hard the entire move. I gave them a good tip and bought them lunch.\r Thanks for the hard work, especially with the entertainment center. more

These guys were great. Arrived on time, were professional, and the price quoted was what I paid, no hidden costs. Moved 2 apartments into 1 house in about 3 1/2 hours. Three guys were on this crew. Very efficient. Tipped each crew member $20. I would hire this company again and recommend them to my friends/family. more

WORST experience I have ever had with a company! Not only were they insulting, they were cruel to our pet, one reeked of weed and had a foul mouth around my children, wouldnt move half of my things, and then they over charged! When I called to complain, THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS!! NEVER AGAIN!! And I will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone i know! more

George & Justin were the best movers I have ever had and believe me, I have moved at least 5 times in the last 7 years!! Nothing was broken, they knew exactly what to do and gave me moral support which is very unusual! Great job ... highly recommended. Thank you ~ Jan more

We were very happy with Metrowide and the way they helped us with our move. They were very efficient and the move went very smooth. From the time they came to the apartment and the time our furniture was placed in our home was great. more

Do not, under any circumstances, use this service (if you can even call it that). There are so many things wrong with this company that I have to make a list of what they did to my new home: 1. Incorrectly hooked up the washer and drier 2. Took apart my desk and ""misplaced"" all of its screws 3. Damaged our refrigerator 4. Damaged our walls 5. Damaged our furniture 5. etc., etc. Most importantly, however, after the movers left we realized that some of our valuables were missing (diamond ring, watch, ...). For the love of God DO NOT USE their services. You have been warned. more

I don't generally write reviews but after using this company I wanted to tell everyone about them. From start to finish the guys in the office were superb! They spent a great deal of time with me answering all of my questions and never once made me feel like a worry wart! Thanks guys! The movers came out and set up pads to protect the house and were very careful and nice to work with. Who knew moving could be so much fun? I was really stressed out the morning of the move and the guys really made my day. A+++++ guys, congrats and keep up the good work. more

Do not use this company, ever! The management is horrible to deal with, they don't do what you ask of them and they don't stand behind their mistakes. I will always call Two Men and a Truck from now on. more

After working with these guys from giving them my list of furniture and misc items to the last piece of furniture unloaded off the truck these guys were the best. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with. From the bottom of my heart, thank you sooo much. I gave Metrowide a list of inventory over the phone and they told me exactly what the price was going to be. I didn't have to worry about them dragging the move out on hourly rates. They actually did the opposite. They move very fast. The guys were very friendly and professional. My apartment complex referred me to them and it turned out great. Found these guys here on Yelp and called with their coupon. The guys in the office were great! Very helpful with getting me a quote and making sure that I was updated and followed up every step of the way. We had a buyer that wanted in our house in 2 weeks and didn't have anywhere to go, needless to say, the movers were the last ones I called. Thankfully the guys at Metro Wide Movers were great. I moved from Independence to Liberty and it was a pretty large move. The movers showed up when they said they would and made the move seem effortless. The guys ran and loaded my entire house in 3 hours. Smooth move guys. Thanks a million. I would recommend these guys to anyone moving. Pros: Professional Cons: None that I encountered more
