Best

This place was special. food is excellent. we walked around trying to find the best burger spot in the slope. we passed this really nice lady walking her dog that told us to try ...

Worst

Me and my husband recently went here for a late Friday night dinner. First we ordered the oysters - which came without cocktail sauce or lemon, actually they gave us an empty cup ...

Best Brunch for your buck! 6/11/2008

Ended up at Melt for brunch pretty randomly one afternoon and it's became an instant favorite. We had the crabcake benedict and the kobe beef burger, and a pineapple infused vodka drink that was incredible. The meal was excellent, the waitress very sweet and the prices very affordable and reasonable. Service was also rather quick. The only thing I wish is that it were a little bigger...otherwise EXCELLENT! Pros: Food, Price, Service Cons: Size more

Yummy and friendly! 3/17/2008

I am a regular here for brunch and dinner. The service is always spectacular and the food delicious! The pricing is amazing too...well worth it. The only time I had a problem was when a family next to us couldn't control their screaming child. This place is not built for children...I don't understand why anyone would bring them...especially for dinner! No offence, but there are plenty of other places in Park Slope for the kiddies! So wasn't I thrilled when I saw them open for lunch the other day. (wed-fridays) A friend and I were the only two people in there. Apparently nobody else has figured it out yet, because brunches are always a full house. I had the swedish meatballs which were divine. My friend had the salmon which was also great! Try it! Pros: Service, food and cocktails!! Cons: Don't bring kids here! more

Fantastic food, great presentation, wonderful staff 3/8/2008

Dinner at Melt left me 100% satisfied and wanting more. Am already making reservations for other friends and family. Service was spectacular (I have to admit though that the female waiters were far friendlier than the male ones). The menu is inventive the presentation of the food is beautiful. You almost do not want to bite into it. It was sooo good I actually wanted to lick the plate (if that wouldn't look so weird). The cocktails are innovative and delish. Don't pass up on dessert... Pros: Perfect from start to finish more

Very Nice Decor and Friendly Service 2/28/2008

We went to Melt for drinks. The place has nice decor and has up beat music. The drinks are very reasonable and its not water down like some places. We had the Kobe burger special. It was really tasty\r We can not say the same about the fries. They were hard and salty. Our bartender was very funny and talkative. \r Overall, it was pretty good ,and its a nice little place to hangout on a Thursday night. Pros: NICE DECOR AND A GREAT BARTENDER Cons: EASE UP ON THE SALT GUYS !!! more

Best Brunch spot in BK 2/23/2008

This restaurant is among my favorite brunch spots in Brooklyn. I love how they switch up the menu. But the food and service is always great. It's a little small wish it were bigger would mke it easier to navitagiate to the potty. It's a very diverse crowd and the price is reasonable. This is one on the few restaurants I go to and eat everything on my plate. Try it!! Pros: Great service & food Cons: a llttle too small more

WE WENT OVER TO MELT LAST THURSDAY BECAUSE A COUPLE OF FRIENDS WANTED TO TRIED \r THIS PLACE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY SERVED A REALLY GREAT TASTING STEAK. THE STEAKS \r WE ORDERED WERE NOT COOKED TO OUR SATISFACTION. ONE WAS OVER COOKED, SUPPOSE\r TO BE MEDIUM, IT WAS VERY CHEWYYYY. THE SECOND ONE WAS FATTY AND BLOODY, BAD COMBINATION , ALSO SUPPOSE TO BE MEDIUM AS WELL. OUR ORDER OF FRIES WERE VERY SALTY. SORRY, BUT WE WILL HAVE TO CHALK THIS EXPERIENCE UP AS BELOW OUR EXPECTATION. WE NEED TO GIVE ALOT OF CREDIT TO OUR SERVER, SHE WAS REALLY GREAT. Pros: REALLY GREAT SERVICE Cons: FOOD- OVER RATED more

Great customer service 1/12/2008

I went there over the summer. I took a girl on a date that I was meeting for the first time. We got there just before dinner was being served. The food was great. My date literally cleaned her plate, even before me! What was most impressive, was that I had left my umbrella there after we left. Our waiter ran all the way up the street to give it back to me. Overall nice experience Pros: Main course and service Cons: Dessert wasnt the greatest more

Delicious! 12/22/2007

My husband and I were finally able to get a babysitter so that we could finally have a date night this month. We decided to try Melt for the first time, which was not an easy decision to make for fear of wasting our only night out together this month on a bad dining experience. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were able to make reservations, so it was not a problem. We were so surprised at how shockingly good the entire experience was! First off, the ambience was fantastic; dark, with tiny candles on every table setting a very intimate and romantic mood for my husband and I. It felt as though we were back in London at some fab lounge! We were greeted at the door by a woman who also happened to be serving us that evening. She was friendly and hospitable, not to mention very knowledgeable about the menu items and specials. We ordered our drinks first while looking over the fabulous menu. I had a dirty vodka martini which was the best martini I have had in years! Then the appetizers- I would suggest the wild rice springrolls, they were divine, I wanted to lick the plate. My husband had the tuna tartar-delicious! For dinner, I had the sesame encrusted tuna special, my husband had the Kobe burger. Both meals were so full of wonderfully blended flavors, sauces that just melted in your mouth, they were wonderful! We both cleaned our plates! Unfortunately, we didn't try any of the desserts although they looked scrumptious. We did however allow our food to settle while we drank a few more cocktails- I honestly couldn't get enough of those martinis! Our waitress and busboy were both really great. We had quick service which was not overbearing. Our glasses were never completely empty and our table was never left messy. To sum it all up, the food was delectable and beautifully presented, the cocktails were heavenly and the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, it's not a place I could dine with my 11 month old daughter. But I would definately eat there again! Pros: Service, Ambience, Food and Cocktails more
