My experience is positive for this location.\r My friend told me to visit this meineke shop, she receive good service for her car brakes repairs with less price . I was able to get the work done the same day at a GREAT price. I checked many shops and they saved me at least $100. Everybody was very professionsl and the work was done before promised. I am very happy and satisified with this Meineke location and would go back and use them again. more

I VISIT 4 TO 5 DIFFERENT AUTO MECHANICKS SHOP TO FIX MY 2007 TOYOTA CAR. ALL OTHER REPAIRS FACILITY IS VERY EXPENSIVE & NOT PROFESSIONAL. I made the mistake of getting a muffler from this Meineke, with lifetime warranty. When I brought my car back to get the muffler replaced, I was told that my car needed $700 of work. I immediately took it to another garage for a second opinion, and they saw the exact same problems, but were shocked at the $700 estimate. They fixed all of the problems (except the muffler itself because I still wanted to get my ""free"" muffler under the warranty) for $365. So, knowing nothing needed replacement except the muffler itself, I took it back to Meineke. They said that the muffler would cost $190 to replace, even under warranty! They said that if you replace the muffler, you automatically have to replace the surrounding pipes because their mufflers are ""one piece,"" and they already have the extra, unnecessary pipes attached to the muffler. They said they cannot be separated, and that I would have to pay for the extra pieces, even though I didn't need them. I asked if it would be possible to order a muffler, just a muffler, not connected to anything else, and have that installed. They said it would take TWO WEEKS to get just a plain old muffler for my car, a Toyota Camry. Two weeks? This is Chicago! They were just trying to force me to buy the parts i didn't need. I left without getting a muffler, and I am waiting for them to call when they finally get a muffler for my car. I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure, even though the muffler is supposed to be ""free"" under the warranty, they'll find something to charge me over $100 for. more

I recommend avoiding this Meineke at all costs. The experience I had there ranks up there with the 2 worst experiences I've had at an auto repair shop. I brought my car in for a check on some front brake scraping noise, thinking I probably needed new pads and to have the rotors turned. They recommended new pads, of course, and also new rotors. When I asked if they could turn the rotors, they said (and I'm not making this up) that you can't turn rotors (not just mine but any rotors) because it makes the brakes wobbly. When I asked if they measured the rotor thickness with calipers to see if there was enough left to turn they said they had. In fact, I watched the mechanic the whole time he was raising the car and taking off the wheels, and I know he didn't measure the rotor width. After telling them that I only wanted new pads and nothing more, they tried to sell me on the usual extra stuff (new rear shocks, etc.) I know I didn't need, probably thinking I was some naive kid (I'm 28 and I grew up in a family of mechanics, so I konw my way around a car). The worst part was when I picked the car up after they had finished. After I paid, they flat out refused to give me a work order receipt, and actually became slightly hostile about it, claiming that the credit card receipt was the only recepit I needed. Any service business that refuses to give a receipt detailing the work they did does not stand behind it. It's as simple as that. I'm never going back to this place, and I recommend everyone else avoid it. more
